Abstract

The researcher was interested in developing evaluation tools based on technology. The objectives of the research are: Developing assessment tools for learning Arabic based on technological developments. The type of research used in this research is research and development. The product developed in this study is assessment tools for learning Arabic based on technological developments. The development procedure consists of five steps, namely: 1) analysis,2) the design , 3) Development ,4) implementation, 5) Calendar. The data collection tool used was a semi-closed questionnaire. Data processing is done after obtaining data from the results of the experiment. The data is then analyzed using the percentage formula. The results of the data analysis showed that the percentage of candidate individual user experiences was88.33% and small group users90.25٪ and field experiments91.41%

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of storytelling to improve speaking skills at the  Foreign Language Development Institute at the Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School Paiton Probolinggo. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection tools are observation, interviews and documentation. The implementation steps are as follows: determining the presenter to be included in the schedule, writing the story text, memorizing the story, practicing, making up presenter, presenting the story, and having evaluation from supervisor. The driving factors in applying the taqdimul qissoh method to improve speaking skills are the strong determination of the students in learning Arabic (especially speaking skills), the activities that encourage the improvement of speaking skills, the punishment for those who cannot speak Arabic, the language environment, and the professionalism of the teacher. As for the inhibiting factors, students lack confidence and not memorizing the text of the story.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the understanding of Hidayatul Qomariyah Islamic boarding school students of the values of tawhid in the book of Aqidatul Awam. The problem formulations in this study are: 1.How do the students understand the values of tawhid in the 10 obligatory attributes of Allah? 2.What are the factors that influence the understanding of the book of Aqidatul Awam?The type of research used in this study is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used in this study using observation, interviews and documentation. Data validity techniques using triangulation techniques. The data analysis technique uses the interactive model of miles and huberman. The subjects in this study were 10 students of the 1st grade tsanawiyah Islamic boarding school Hidayatul Qomariyah and 3 ustadzah who taught the Aqidatul Awam book.Based on the results of the study, it shows that the students' understanding of the values of tawhid in the book of Aqidatul Awam is said that the 1st grade tsanawiyah students have understood the values of tawhid well. This is seen by many respondents who have given the correct answer and refer to the theory.

Abstract

AbstractThe program arabic week is a special program implemented at Jember East Java to upgrade Arabic language skills, and this program shows that language learning focus not only on theoretical aspects but Arabic language learning is communicative learning. The aim of this research is to explore the effectiveness of communicative approach in the Arabic Week program to upgrade students' Arabic language skills. The research method is qualitative research with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The researcher used metadata analysis. The subjects of study were students at Jember East Java The results of the research showed that the use of the communicative approach in the Arabic Week program and applications was able to upgrade students' skill in the Arabic language well. The students were able to understand Arabic and use it well. The communicative approach also enriches the learning experience of students by providing opportunities to interact with others in Arabic, and raises students' confidence and motivation to learn. Based on these results, this research recommends the use of the communicative approach in learning Arabic and this research is one of the effective strategies to upgrade Arabic language skills.Keywords:Communicative Approach, Arabic Week

Abstract

Wali Songo Ngabar Islamic Boarding School is one of the Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia that has great attention to Arabic. Arabic is used as the medium of instruction in teaching Islamic studies. TMI Grade Two students are beginners in this teaching, as they previously studied Islamic subject matter using Indonesian. And similar to this teaching, is teaching language according to the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) Approach, which assumes that teaching a foreign language is not enough just to teach in theory but must use it in teaching and learning activities. From that the researcher is motivated to do more research on the teaching of Arabic. provide a new discourse in teaching Arabic, especially in Indonesia. This study aims to explain the teaching of Arabic and its suitability with the characteristics of teaching foreign languages according to the CLIL approach. This research is a Case Study type Field Research with a Qualitative Approach and Descriptive Study Research Methodology. In collecting data using Documentation & Library Methods, Interviews, and Observations. For data analysis using interactive analysis method by Miles and Hubberman. The results of this study: First, teaching Islamic lessons through Arabic is teaching Arabic according to language teaching according to the CLIL approach in terms of 4 main principles, namely Content, Communication, Cognition, and Culture. Second, the purpose of this teaching is in accordance with CLIL, which is to improve students' foreign language skills. Third, learning activities are based on the Direct Method of Teaching Language, namely by using a foreign language directly and clearly, and using correct grammar.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the difficulty faced by many students in reading Arabic texts, such as difficulties in pronouncing certain Arabic letters like (ش) becoming (س), (ض) becoming (ظ), and other pronunciation errors. Therefore, it is necessary to delve deeper into the problem of learning reading skills and find solutions to overcome these problems.This research is descriptive qualitative in nature, using data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used in this research include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The main data were obtained from Arabic language teachers and students, supported by data from the head of the madrasah and related parties.The results of this study show that the problems of learning Arabic language are both linguistic and non-linguistic. The findings indicate that the linguistic problem in learning reading skills is the lack of understanding of students about the makharij al huruf and the pronunciation rules of the Arabic language. Meanwhile, the non-linguistic problem is related to students' motivation to learn Arabic language, their educational background, and the support of the madrasah management. The solutions to these problems include motivating students, encouraging them to read the Quran, and coordinating with the madrasah management.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative type of correlational research. This study aims to determine the relationship between the ability to read the Al Qur’an with an interest in learning Arabic in grade 8 female students of the Equalization Education of Salafiyah Hidayatul Qomariyah Islamic Boarding School Bengkulu. The entire data obtained was analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and parametric inferential statistical analysis with the Pearson Product Moment bivariate correlation type. The results showed that the calculation of the relationship between the ability to read the Koran and the interest in learning Arabic in grade 8 female students of the Equalization Education of the Salafiyah Hidayatul Qomariyah Islamic Boarding School Bengkulu had a correlation value (r count) of 0.125 with a very weak interpretation value. Based on the results of this study, it is suggested to Arabic teachers to make methods and media more interesting and intensively motivating female students about the importance of learning Arabic so that there is a high interest in learning Arabic. Keywords: ability to read the Al Qur’an, interest in learning Arabic, Hidayatul Qomariyah

Abstract

This study was conducted to find out how the application of insya' learning to improve Arabic writing skills and the factors contained therein. It is hoped that the results of this study can play a role in overcoming the problems faced by students, namely that students are able to express their thoughts in written form properly. This type of study is descriptive qualitative research. Methods of data collection using stage observation, interviews, and documentation. Methods of data analysis using stage triangulation. The results obtained from this study indicate that, first, the application of insya' learning is carried out in stages, starting with the process of providing material to insya' practice based on the book Al-Insya' Bil Anmath. And second, the application of insya' learning has several supporting and inhibiting factors, one of each of these factors is a supportive environment and different educational backgrounds.Keywords: Arabic Language, Arabic Writing Skills, Insya’ Learning.
