Abstract

Pengaruh Campuran Serbuk Styrofoam dan Abu Kayu Terhadap Nilai CBR Tanah Dasar. Tanah dasar berperan vital pada konstruksi jalan termasuk jalan di Tepus-Jerukwudel II. Di sisi lain, tanah dasar yang merupakan tanah lempung termasuk salah satu tanah yang mempunyai banyak kekurangan, diantaranya mempunyai sifat kohesi tinggi, daya dukung rendah, ataupun nilai CBR yang relatif rendah, dikarenakan kondisi tersebut perlu diadakan stabilisasi pada tanah lempung untuk memperbaiki sifat tanah tersebut, apabila tidak diperbaiki pada tanah lempung, sehingga infrastruktur yang di atasnya dapat berpeluang mengalami kerusakan. Penambahan serbuk styrofoam dan abu kayu mampu memperbaiki sifat fisis serta mekanis tanah lempung serta menaikkan nilai CBR. Mutu tanah yang sudah dicampur dengan berbagai material tambahan secara kimiawi bisa menaikkan kualitas tanah tersebut. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengujian menggunakan metode penambahan serbuk styrofoam dan abu kayu dengan variasi 0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, serta 5% pada berat kering tanah lempung yang ditambahkan kepada tanah dasar untuk menganalisa pengaruh penambahan bahan tersebut terhadap daya dukung. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut menjelaskan bahwasannya efek penambahan serbuk styrofoam serta abu kayu pada variasi 1% dititik 1 ada kenaikan CBR 6,76%, di titik 2 CBR 6,73%, dan di titik 3 CBR 6,21% dari CBR sebelumnya. Dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwasannya komposisi campuran tanah dasar dengan variasi 1% serbuk styrofoam serta abu kayu adalah komposisi yang baik serta perubahan nilai CBR peningkatan paling radikal diantara variasi yang lain. Abstract: Effect of Mixture of Styrofoam Powder and Wood Ash on CBR Value of Subgrade Soil. Subgrade soil plays a vital role in road construction, including the Tepus-Jerukwudel II road. On the other hand, subgrade soil which is clay is one of the soils that has many disadvantages, including having high cohesion properties, low carrying capacity, or relatively low CBR value, because of these conditions it’s necessary to stabilize the clay soil to improve the soil properties, if no repairs are made to the clay soil, then the infrastructure on it will potentially be damaged. By adding of styrofoam powder and wood ash, the physicals and mechanical properties of clay soil are improved and the CBR value is increased. Soil quality mixed with various chemical additives can improve soil quality. In this study, tests were carried out using the method of adding styrofoam powder and wood ash with variations of 0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, and 5% on the dry weight of clay added to subgrade to analyze the effect of adding these materials on carrying capacity. Based on the results of this analysis, it is explained that the effect of adding Styrofoam powder and wood ash at 1% variation at point 1 is an increase in CBR 6.76%, at point 2 CBR 6.73%, and at point 3 CBR 6.21% from the previous CBR. From this it can be concluded that the compositions of the base soil mixture with 1% Styrofoam powder and wood ash has a good compositions and the change in CBR value is the steepest increase among the other variations. Abstract

This study aims to find out how the components of the material are used in designing a mini compressor building using an AC induction motor freon tube, knowing how the benefits of an AC induction motor freon tube and knowing how to design a mini compressor using an AC induction motor freon tube. This product research and development model is carried out using development research or often referred to as Research and Development (R & D). Research and development (research and development) aims to produce new products through the development process. The main material used in this research is waste from AC freon tubes. Tool testing was carried out 3 times to get the best time to fill the compressor wind tube. From the test results, it was found that the maximum pressure of 120 Psi was obtained at 15 minutes of filling.

Abstract

Abstrak: Analisis Kualitas Kemasan Minyak Goreng Dengan Metode Seven Tools Guna Mengurangi Kegiatan Repack di PT.WINA Gresik. PT WINA Gresik ialah satu diantara perusahaan dengan berfokus pada industri agroindustri. Pada dunia bisnis, kualitas adalah faktor yang sangat penting terhadap minat beli dari konsumen. Banyaknya kompetitor pada bisnis ini, PT WINA Gresik harus selalu menjaga bahkan meningkatkan kualitas produknya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini antara lain : (1) Mengidentifikasi dan mengetahui faktor penyebab defect yang paling berpengaruh terhadap proses pengemasan kemasan minyak goreng. (2) Memberikan sejumlah alternatif solusi untuk perbaikan terhadap proses pengemasan produk kemasan minyak goreng. Metode yang hendak dipergunakan dalam menganalisa kualitas ialah metode seven tools. Berbagai instrumen statistik yang dipergunakan pada metode ini guna pengendalian kualitas ialah, Control Chart, Histogram, Flow Chart, Pareto Chart, Fishbone Diagram, Stratification, Check Sheet. Hasil pengolahan data dari tabel peta kendali p-chart, didapat nilai p (proporsi cacat) dengan rata-rata senilai 0.000317, Upper Control Limit (UCL) adalah 0.00032, Lower Control Limit (LCL) adalah 0.00011 dan Central Line (CL) adalah 0.00021. Diharapkan aksi cepat tanggap dari mekanik agar jika ada terjadi kerusakan atau trouble pada mesin bisa cepat teratasi, sehingga dapat meminimalisir jumlah cacat dan dapat memaksimalkan hasil produksi. Kata kunci: Analisis Kualitas; Minyak Goreng; Metode Seven Tools Abstract: Quality Analysis of Cooking Oil Packaging Using the Seven Tools Method to Reduce Repack Activities at PT.WINA Gresik. PT WINA Gresik is a company engaged in the agroindustry. In the business world, quality is a very important factor in buying interest from consumers. With the large number of competitors in this business, PT WINA Gresik must always maintain and even improve the quality of its products. The aims of this study include: (1) Identifying and knowing the factors that cause defects that most influence the cooking oil packaging process. (2) Provide a number of alternative solutions to improve the packaging process for cooking oil packaging products. The method that will be used to analyze quality is the seven tools method. The statistical tools used in this method for quality control are Control Chart, Histogram, Flow Chart, Pareto Chart, Fihsbone Diagram, Stratification, Check Sheet. The results of data processing from the p-chart control chart table, the p-value (proportion of defects) is obtained with an average of 0.000317, the Upper Control Limit (UCL) is 0.00032, the Lower Control Limit (LCL) is 0.00011 and the central line or Central Line (CL) is 0.00021. It is hoped that the mechanics will respond quickly so that if there is damage or trouble with the machine can be quickly resolved, so as to minimize the number of defects and maximize production results. Abstract

This study aims to measure the level of student generation Z with Digital Native characteristics, which are limited to active students in Odd Semester 2022/2023 Information Technology Education Study Program (ITE) and Visual Arts Education Study Program (VAE) Faculty of Engineering, State University of Gorontalo, who will reach the age of 40 to 45 years in 2045 (Golden Generation). The research method used is descriptive quantitative. The results showed that ITE and VAE Study Program students were at a "moderate" level of readiness in welcoming Indonesia Gold 2045. The most dominant Digital Native characteristics possessed by ITE and VAE students were connected (always connected to friends because of technology and the internet) and digital literate, but tend not to understand clearly what is the goal in his life (goal-oriented). The conclusion that can be drawn is that ITE Study Program students are at a "High" level of readiness, compared to VAE Study Program students who are at a "Medium" level of readiness in welcoming Indonesia Gold 2045 based on digital native characteristics.

Abstract

Along with technological developments, the use of metals such as steel cannot be separated from the welding process. Where welded joints have advantages in the form of lightweight construction, able to withstand high loads, and are more economical. One of the factors that must be considered in producing a good welded joint is the weld camp. Welding camp are used to accommodate filler material on the metal, so that the determination of the type of camp is based on the needs of the construction being built. The purpose of this study was to analyze the hardness of low carbon steel MIG welded joints with various variations of camp and welding temperature. The test material used was ST 37 low carbon steel with a thickness of 6 mm and a width of 100 mm. Tests were carried out to compare the weld joint hardness values with the application of V, I, and K seams on each welding electric current of 130 A, 150 A, and 170 A. The test results showed that in all types of seams, the higher the welding electric current. Applied, the greater the hardness value of the welded joint obtained. The highest hardness value was obtained at a welding current of 170 A with a V camp of 89.8 N/mm2.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors that influence the performance of operational and maintenance costs in the DI irrigation network. Paguyaman. To achieve this goal, the researchers used a survey method by distributing questionnaires to a number of respondents who were involved in the implementation and monitoring of DI irrigation networks. Paguyaman. Data collection was carried out by way of a direct survey to the location and a list of questions in the questionnaire for primary data. As for the secondary data obtained from the literature and data from related agencies. Based on the results of the questionnaire from the respondents, a ranking was made of the causal factors that affect the performance of operational and maintenance costs in the DI irrigation network. Paguyaman. From the ranking results, there are 15 factors that are categorized as influential. The conclusions that can be drawn after statistical tests are that there are seven factors that influence the performance of operational costs and maintenance of irrigation networks in D.I Paguyaman. These factors are unexpected conditions and events (floods, earthquakes and others), general information and methods in carrying out operations and maintenance for field officers are inadequate, there is still a lack of responsibility for officers in carrying out irrigation operations and maintenance, changes in areas that encouraging the conversion of paddy fields to other users, the number of operational and maintenance officers is still lacking, the equipment is of poor quality and there is no training for P3A, and the most dominant factors affecting the performance of operational costs and maintenance of irrigation networks in D.I Paguyaman are conditions and events that unexpected events (floods, earthquakes, etc.).

Abstract

This study describes the calculation of cold storage analysis for planning the preservation of vannamei shrimp in Pohuwato Regency. The purpose of this paper is to calculate the cooling load on frozen fish cold storage, calculate the performance of the vapor compression cycle including mass flow rate, compressor power, and COP. This study uses a theoretical design method. Cold storage design for product storage. The design data was obtained from field observations. The calculation results showed that the Refrigerant used was Refrigerant 12 (R-12), a vannamei shrimp product. The cycle cooling load is 47.33 kW. Cold storage designed for the process of preserving shrimp with a capacity of 13 tons, Cooling temperature in cold storage is 10° C, Superheated temperature is 5° C, Sub cooled temperature is 5° C, Refrigerant temperature in the condenser is 35° C, Refrigerant temperature in the evaporator is 5° C, the pressure in the condenser is 0.8 MPa, the pressure in the evaporator is 0.4 MPa so that a coefficient of performance (COP) of 4.7 is obtained.

Abstract

The characteristics of the airflow that is formed around the vehicle body affects the value of the resistance acting on the vehicle. When it reaches the rear edge of the vehicle, the flow undergoes a process of separation. So modification of the vehicle body design that is able to reduce the separation is urgently needed. Flow engineering around the vehicle body can be obtained by modifying the shape which is considered more aerodynamic. Meanwhile, flow engineering can also be obtained through the application of an active control system in areas that are considered to have the potential to initiate flow eddies on the rear side of the vehicle and have a major influence on the formation of flow separation. This research aims to examine the impact of the application of flow control blowing technique on the resistance of the modeled vehicle. The geometric angle of the front wall is determined to be 35°. The research uses a numerical computational approach with a standard k-epsilon as a turbulence model. The upstream velocity applied is 13.9 m/s, while the blowing velocity is set at 0.5 m/s. The research results prove that the application of blowing flow control has succeeded in minimizing the formation of wake structures and has the effect of delaying separation and has succeeded in reducing the aerodynamic drag coefficient to 9.3187%.

Abstract

Vehicle stability when driving is an issue that needs attention because it relates to comfort in driving and the effectiveness of fuel consumption. This is caused by the large aerodynamic drag force of the vehicle due to the structure of the air flow which flows regularly and experiences separation when it reaches the rear end point of the vehicle. This separation of the flows causes significant negative pressure on the rear window due to the return flow which does not follow the shape of the vehicle body. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of implementing active control of blowing type flow on vehicle models on aerodynamic drag. This study applies a numerical computational method with a modified Ahmed body model as the main object of research. The active blowing control is placed at the rear end of the model which is considered the initial separation area. Blowing speed was varied 0.2 m/s, 0.8 m/s, 1.5 m/s, and 2.0 m/s and was tested at an upstream speed of 16.7 m/s. Research results indicate that the application of active blowing control has succeeded in providing a delay in separation effect, reducing turbulence and reducing aerodynamic drag by 8-9%.

Abstract

This research results in the design of a room temperature measuring device for the blind using the Atmega328 microcontroller. The design of the tool uses the Thermistor NTC 3950 temperature sensor. The sensor input is converted into a digital signal and processed by the Atmega 328 microcontroller using the Arduino Nano programming language. The results of measuring the temperature value of a classroom with an area of 6.8 x 5.5 m for the blind in SLB show that the temperature value is in the range of 26 – 29o. The accuracy of the instrument is measured by comparing a standard measuring instrument with a digital thermometer TPM-10. Observation of room temperature values was carried out for 10 hours in the reading range of values per 1 hour. From the results of a comparison with the standard digital thermometer TPM-10 measuring instrument, it shows that the accuracy of the tool is 98.35%.
