Abstract

In organizing train operations in Indonesia, especially in Java, apart from planning, controlling and evaluating train operations under normal/ordinary conditions, based on existing data and experience, several planning and control scenarios are needed for special conditions/services, handling critical situations, also handling emergencies. In terms of regulations (determination & announcement) of train operations, in the form of GAPEKA for normal circumstances, MALKA, PPK and WAM scenarios are also prepared as alternative regulations outside GAPEKA (PT Kereta Api Indonesia Service Regulation No. 19 of 2011). In everyday life, apart from these scenarios, anticipation is also needed to provide guidelines for handling them, so that they support the train travel operation scenarios. In order to provide references, guidelines, flow and supporting resources on how to deal with several of these situations, both predictable, incidental and unexpected, then the plan for handling special situations must be formulated properly and completely and in accordance with various possible circumstances. The formulation of handling special situations is important. Handling these special situations is still different for special, critical or emergency situations/services

Abstract

After graduating from vocational school, students must make decisions about their career plans that will be adjusted to their abilities. This career plan can be based on the influence of their education through internship and entrepreneurship activities, because in internship activities, students are required to become employees or workers in a company. Thoughtful career planning decisions will help students develop potential areas of expertise and prepare them for work. The research design used is quantitative correlation with data collection using literature research from journals, books, documents and other relevant sources. The results of this research also show that vocational school graduates who are involved in internship activities and study entrepreneurship have sufficient skills, but they still think as workers, not as business actors. The government is expected to be tougher in telling vocational school graduates that they can create their own jobs.

Abstract

During these years, strategic planning was widely believed to be the answer to all problems. At that time, most major companies in large countries like the United States were obsessed with strategic planning. However, after the “boom”, strategic planning was put aside in the 1980s because various planning models did not provide higher results. However, the 1990s brought a renaissance of strategic planning, and the process is widely practiced today in the business world. The strategic plan need a plan which is good so that companies have the opportunity to compete successfully. Strategic consists of three stages: strategy formulation, strategy implementation, and strategy evaluation. Strategy formulation includes developing a vision and mission, identifying the organization's external opportunities and threats, determining internal strengths and weaknesses, setting long-term goals, generating alternative strategies, and selecting specific strategies to implement. Strategy formulation issues include deciding what new businesses to enter, what businesses to abandon, how to allocate resources, whether to expand operations or diversify, whether to enter international markets, whether to merge or form a joint venture, and how to avoid hostility. takeover. Because no organization has unlimited resources, strategists must decide which alternative strategies will most benefit the company. Strategy formulation decisions commit an organization to specific products, markets, resources, and technologies over a long period of time. Strategy determines long-term competitive advantage. Good or bad, strategic decisions have major multifunctional consequences and long-lasting effects on organizations. Top managers have the best perspective to fully understand the consequences of strategy formulation decisions; they have the authority to allocate the resources necessary for implementation. Strategy implementation requires companies to set annual goals, design policies, motivate employees, and allocate resources so that the formulated strategy can be implemented. Strategy implementation includes developing a culture that supports the strategy, creating an effective organizational structure, directing marketing efforts, preparing budgets, developing and utilizing information systems, and linking employee compensation to organizational performance. Strategy implementation is often called the “action stage” of strategic management. Implementing a strategy means mobilizing employees and managers to put the formulated strategy into action. Often considered the most difficult stage in strategic management, strategy implementation requires personal discipline, commitment, and sacrifice. Successful strategy implementation depends on the manager's ability to motivate employees, which is more art than science. Strategies that are formulated but not implemented serve no useful purpose. Strategy implementation activities affect all employees and managers in an organization. Each division and department must decide the answer to questions, such as “What should we do to implement our part in the organization's strategy?” and “What is the best way to get this job done?” The challenge of implementing it is to stimulate managers and employees throughout the organization to work with pride and enthusiasm in achieving the set goals. Strategy evaluation is the final stage in strategic management. Managers really need to know when a particular strategy is not working; Strategy evaluation is the primary means of obtaining this information. All strategies are subject to modification in the future as external and internal factors continue to change. The three fundamental strategy evaluation activities are (1) reviewing the external and internal factors on which the current strategy is based, (2) measuring performance, and (3) taking corrective action. Strategy evaluation is necessary because today's success is no guarantee of tomorrow's success! Success always creates new and different problems; complacent organizations die. Strategy formulation, implementation, and evaluation activities occur at three hierarchical levels in a large organization: corporate, divisional or strategic business units, and functional. By fostering communication and interaction between managers and employees across hierarchical levels, strategic management helps companies function as competitive teams. Most small businesses and some large businesses do not have divisions or strategic business units; they only have corporate and functional levels. However, managers and employees at both levels must be actively involved in strategic management activities.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of Human Capital, Emotional Intelligence, and Self-Efficacy on employee performance, with a specific focus on the moderation effect of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Data were collected from respondents in various organizations, and regression analysis was employed to examine the relationships between variables. The findings indicate that Human Capital significantly contributes to employee performance, and both Emotional Intelligence and Self-Efficacy also exhibit a positive and significant impact. Furthermore, OCB moderates the relationship between the independent variables and employee performance, suggesting that employees` voluntary behaviors can enhance or diminish the influence of these factors. The results of this study provide insights into how human resource management and organizational culture can enhance employee performance in complex work environments.

Abstract

This research aims to look at the implementation of the policy of changing Administrative Positions to Functional Positions of Goods and Services Procurement Managers in the Ministry of Education and Culture and Research and Technology and to analyze the impact of changes in the policy of equalizing Administrative Positions to Functional Positions of Goods and Services Procurement Managers in the Ministry of Education and Culture and Research and Technology on the Human Resource Management Function. This is motivated by the president's policy regarding the equalization of administrative positions to functional positions. This research design uses qualitative methods. Data collection techniques in this research used interviews, observation and documentation. The subjects in this research are the Substance Coordinator of Mentoring, Consultation and/Bintek PBJ, the Substance Coordinator of Human Resources and Institutional Development, the Functional Position of Goods/Services Procurement Manager, and the Human Resources Bureau of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education and Culture. The research results show that functional officials who are affected by the position equalization policy are in practice entrusted with the role of coordinator or sub-coordinator, which in other words, they are still given authority and responsibility in certain fields as attached to their previous position. So that "structural sense functional officials" emerge. This condition increases the burden on officials affected by equalization. On the one hand, the person concerned must follow the work climate of a functional position which is based on individual performance with proof of collecting credit scores, on the other hand he is given the burdens, responsibilities and roles as in the structural position previously held.
