Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of the independent learning curriculum on learning motivation. The method used in this research is quantitative method using random sampling technique, there are 75 samples and only 38 samples are taken. The research was conducted at SMAN 1 PAYUNG SEKAKI IN CLASS X. From the results of this study it was concluded that there was an influence of the independent learning curriculum on the learning motivation of class X students at SMAN 1 PAYUNG SEKAKI, but with the existence of the independent learning curriculum, students' learning motivation was not fixed because this curriculum had just been established. However, there are some students who are motivated by the implementation of this independent curriculum, but some are not. The regression equation can be seen from the intercept coefficient table, namely 7.686 and X 1.349, so the regression equation is Y = 7.686 + 1.349 which means if X is 0 then Y the value is 7.686 and the X is positive 1.349, so the effect is positive between the variables X and Y, so when x increases by 1, y will increase by 1.49.Keywords :Influence,independent learning curriculum,motivation to learning AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kurikulum merdeka belajar terhadap motivasi belajar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling terdapat sebanyak 75 sampel dan yang diambil hanya 38 sampel. Penelitian dilakukan pada SMAN 1 PAYUNG SEKAKI DI KELAS X. Dari hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa adanya pengaruh kurikulum merdeka belajar terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas X SMAN 1 PAYUNG SEKAKI, namun dengan adanya kurikulum merdelka belajar ini motivasi belajar siswa tidak tetap dikarenakan kurikulum ini baru ditetapkan,namun ada sebagian siswa yang memang termotivasi dengan adanya penerapan kurikulu merdeka ini namun ada juga yang tidak.Persamaan regresinya dapat dilihat dari table koefisien intercept yaitun 7,686 dan X 1,349 jadi persamaan regresinya yaitu Y = 7,686 + 1,349 yang berarti jika X Nya 0 maka Y nya 7,686 dan X nya positif 1,349 jadi pengaruh nya positif antara variabel X dengan Y jadi ketika x naik 1 maka y akan naik  1,49.Kata Kunci : pengaruh, kurikulum merdeka belajar, motivasi belajar

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of the language department in improving the Arabic and English speaking skills of students at the Hubulo Islamic Boarding School. The research method used is a qualitative research method. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that (1) The role of the language section can be seen in their responsibilities when carrying out daily activities, weekly activities, monthly activities and annual activities 2) There are several supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of activities. On the supporting factor, namely the existence of cooperation between the language sections in carrying out their respective tasks, supporting facilities and a conducive pesantren environment ; on the inhibiting factors, namely the lack of members of the language section, there is no special coach who guides the ability to speak Arabic and English  and the lack of awareness of students in obeying the rules using Arabic and English Key Word; Role, Language section, Speak, Hubulo

Abstract

This study aims to determine the leadership of the principal at Amal Bakti Private Middle School Medan, then the efforts of the principal in increasing teacher teaching motivation, and reveal the principal's leadership and teacher motivation at Amal Bakti Private Middle School Medan. The population in this study were principals and teachers, totaling 11 people. The results of interviews in the field with the principal and some of the teachers at Amal Bakti Private Middle School Medan, the conclusion is that the principal's leadership in increasing the motivation of teachers at the school is the first to be carried out by looking at the operational management of the school, by implementing the curriculum and teaching students, teacher personnel , and administrative personnel, facilities and infrastructure, finances, as well as relations with parents and relatives of students, always tend to apply the democratic type. In an effort to increase teacher motivation to teach, steps are taken to improve teacher welfare, school financial transparency, always open dialogue with teachers as often as possible, give awards to outstanding teachers, and continuously complement facilities and infrastructure. The influence of the principal's leadership on increasing teacher motivation to teach can occur well due to a sense of togetherness, a sense of kinship, a sense of belonging, a sense of responsibility and a growing desire to move forward together.Key Words : Principal Leadership, Increasing Teacher's Teaching Motivation.

Abstract

This study is aimed at investigating the vocabulary mastery and the comprehension of passage of IT Education Department students. Vocabulary mastery is one of language component that is essential to be learned. Without any mastery on vocabulary, it will be very difficult to learn foreign language. Further, vocabulary is also important to comprehend a reading text or reading passage. The data in this research collected using two tests, vocabulary test and reading comprehension test. The result of vocabulary showed that the mean score of the class was 64.76 which was in the intermediate level. Further, the result of reading comprehension test showed that the mean score of the class was 74.28. The hypothesis testing was analyzed using Spearman correlational analysis. It showed that the significant value (0.299) was higher than the level of significance 0.05. Meanwhile, the coefficient of the correlation was 0.133. Thus, it can be concluded that there is no significant correlation between vocabulary mastery and the comprehension on reading passage of IT Education Department students. In the other words, vocabulary mastery does not contribute to IT Education Departments’ reading comprehension.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the effect of mathematical reasoning ability and self- efficacy on mathematics learning outcomes of Class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 1 Polewali. This study was ex-post facto research. In addition, samples were Class XI MIPA students of SMA Negeri 1 Polewali, totaling 92 people, selected using simple random sampling. Instruments employed to collect data were (1) the mathematical reasoning ability test, (2) the self-efficacy questionnaire, and (3) the mathematics learning outcomes test. Results showed that: (1) The mathematical reasoning ability of Class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 1 Polewali was in the moderate category; (2) The self-efficacy of Class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 1 Polewali was in the high category; (3) The mathematics learning outcomes of Class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 1 Polewali was in the moderate category; (4) The mathematical reasoning ability had a significant and positive effect on students' mathematics learning outcomes; (5) The self-efficacy had a significant and positive effect on students' mathematics learning outcomes; (6) Mathematical reasoning ability and self-efficacy simultaneously had a significant and positive effect on students' mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine student perceptions about learning from home or learning from home. The main problems studied are what applications are often used, the problem of quota subsidies from universities, signal constraints when studying, supervision, and the responses of parents of students when they study from home. This research will also reveal the advantages and disadvantages as well as suggestions related to learning from home that are effective and fun for students. The research method used in this research is to use quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The research subjects were students of the Mataram University PGSD Study Program semester 3. The data collection techniques were carried out by filling out a questionnaire in the form of a Google Form. The data obtained from the distribution of Google Forms to the 3rd-semester PGSD students of Mataram University showed that learning from homemade the 3rd-semester PGSD students bored and felt ineffective in learning. Students prefer to learn face-to-face because they are more effective and understand learning material more quickly. Students hope that the effectiveness of learning carried out from home online will be increased through various fun learning methods

Abstract

This research is aimed at investigating the effectiveness of Directed Reading Thinking strategy on students’ comprehension of academic reading. In order to be successful in reading comprehension, learners should actively process what they have read and it can be gained by certain practice and strategy. One of the strategy to be used is Directed Reading Thinking Activity which guide the students in making prediction before they read and confirming and refuting the prediction after reading the text. Using DRTA strategy, the students will be trained to be active and thoughtful readers. This research used pre experimental research design with one group pretest posttest design. The result of the hypothesis testing using paired sample t-test showed the significant value 0.002 is lower than level of significance 0.05. It means H0 is rejected and it can be stated that there is a significant difference on the students’ reading comprehension after being taught using DRTA strategy. Thus, it can be concluded that DRTA strategy was effective to teach reading comprehension.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat efektifitas kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal pimpinan pondok pesantren dengan masyarakat sekitar dalam memanfaatkan potensi dan menjalin kerjasama dengan masyarakat serta meningkatkan kepedulian dan partisipasi masyarakat berupa kepercayaannya dalam menitipkan anak untuk belajar di pesantren Futuhul Mu’arif Al-Aziziyah maupun dalam bentuk partisipasinya terhadap pengembangan pondok pesantren. Metode penelitian dan pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif yang menggambarkan dan menginterpretasi objek sesuai dengan apa adanya. Penelitian dilakukan di pondok pesantren Futuhul Mu’arif Al-Aziziyah, Kelurahan Mampun, Kecamatan Tabir, Kabupaten Merangin, Provinsi Jambi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa komunikasi interpersonal yang dilakukan oleh pimpinan pondok pesantren Futuhul Mu’arif Al-Aziziyah dengan masyarakat sekitar lingkungan sudah sangat baik, hal ini dibuktikan dengan terpenuhinya kriteria komunikasi interpersonal yang baik, seperti adanya keterbukaan, empati, kepositifan, dukungan, dan kesamaan. Partisipasi masyarakat sekitar pondok terhadap pengembangan pondok Futuhul Mu’arif Al-Aziziyah sudah mulai meningkat, hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya partisipasi masyarakat dalam pembangunan dan pengembangan pondok pesantren.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengambarkan penerapan model Numbered Head Together (NHT) dalam pembelajaran DESAIN GRAFIS dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa kelas X Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan SMK Bina Taruna Masaran pada semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2021/2022. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan SMK Bina Taruna Masaran pada semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2021/2022. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, tes, observasi, dan angket. Teknik pemeriksa keabsahan data menggunakan trianggulasi. Trianggulasi sumber didapatkan dari sumber yang berbeda untuk mendapatkan informasi yang diperlukan melalui wawancara, sedangkan trianggulasi metode dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan observasi. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dan ditarik kesimpulan. Pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan dalam tiga siklus. Setiap siklusnya meliputi tahapan perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) penerapan model Numbered Head Together (NHT) dalam pembelajaran DESAIN GRAFIS terbukti efektif dilaksanakan di dalam kelas, (2) penerapan model Numbered Head Together (NHT) dalam pembelajaran DESAIN GRAFIS dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas X Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan SMK Bina Taruna Masaran pada semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2021/2022, (3) penerapan model Numbered Head Together (NHT) dalam pembelajaran DESAIN GRAFIS dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa kelas X Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan SMK Bina Taruna Masaran pada semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2021/2022. Peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa dapat diamati melalui perolehan hasil angket motivasi belajar usai pelaksanaan tindakan. Pada siklus I sebesar 47,4%, siklus II meningkat menjadi 68,4%, dan siklus III mencapai sebesar 84,2%. Sedangkan prestasi belajar siswa pada saat kondisi awal menunjukkan skor rata-rata 69,03 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 52,6%, setelah siklus I dilaksanakan terjadi peningkatan skor rata-rata sebesar 85,26 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 73,7%, setelah siklus II skor meningkat menjadi 87,89 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 78,9%, dan setelah siklus III skor rata-rata siswa kembali menunjukkan peningkatan menjadi 88,68 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 89,5%.

Abstract

Grammar is the basic knowledge of language to understand English perfectly. Some students who study English face difficulties in understanding grammar, especially in mastering present continuous tense. The teacher must find new techniques to improve the students' mastery in grammar. Monopoly game is one of the techniques used to assist students in mastering present continuous tense. The aim of this research was to find out the implementation of Monopoly Game as teaching media in improving the students’ ability in learning present continuous tense. Method: This research applied classroom action research to collect the data, which was carried out through four steps. They were planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 31 students at the eighth grade of SMP Katolik Unggulan Santa Maria Timika in the academic year of 2022/2023. The research findings showed that there was a development on the students’ ability in present continuous tense. It was proven by the mean score of pre-test was 28, the mean score of post-test in the cycle I was 50, and the mean score of post-test in the cycle II was 72. The percentage of the students’ score in the pre-test was 3,2%, and the percentage of the students’ score in the post test of the cycle I improved into 32%. It means that there was improvement as much as 28,8%. Then, the percentage of the students’ score in the post test of the cycle II was 77%. It means that the improvement was 73,8%. From the data above, it is indicated that using Monopoly Game as teaching media in learning present continuous tense was effective. It can be concluded that the students’ ability in present continuous tense had been improved by using Monopoly Game as the teaching media
