Abstract

The respiratory system is targeted by the Covid-19 virus, and positive cases are spreading quickly in Indonesia. The Covid-19 virus needs to be prevented and controlled due to its rapid spread, and one way to do this is by boosting the body's defenses. Herbal beverages are one approach to boost physical resistance. Consuming herbs to boost immunity is inextricably linked to the community's level of education, attitudes, and behavior. The goal of this study is to examine how consumption of herbs during the Covid-19 pandemic affects knowledge, attitudes, and behavior in this area. Quantitative research with this type of descriptive analytic, using a cross sectional approach. The community in the Cibubur Village Community Health Center became the study population and 110 of them were respondents who were taken using a purposive sampling technique and all respondents drank herbs, analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that there was a relationship between age and level of immunity (p value=0.038), occupation and level of immunity (p value=0.006), level of knowledge and level of immunity (p value=0.000), attitude and immunity (p value=0.000)., behavior with a level of immunity (p value = 0.000). Meanwhile, gender and recent education have no significant relationship with the level of immunity (Rope and Ruhyana 2019).

Abstract

ABSTRACT Micronutrient supplements are an important supplement for fetal growth and development. However, based on various studies, there are various factors that cause the lack of compliance of mothers in taking micronutrient supplements. The purpose of this study was to identify the behavior of pregnant women in taking micronutrient supplements. The design of this study used quantitative descriptive. The sample in this study was 327 pregnant women, from 3 health centers in Sumedang Regency. Sampling used cluster random sampling technique and sample size is calculated using Yamato's formula. The data of this study was obtained directly from respondents through filling out a structured questionnaire that was distributed using Google Form. The questionnaire contained compliance, frequency/dosage, and maternal habits in taking micronutrient supplements that had been tested for validity with 21 valid questions and a reliability test with Cronbach's Alpha a=0.94. Based on the results of the study, it showed that almost all respondents are pregnant women aged 20-35 years (87.1%). Most respondents behaved poorly in terms of compliance, frequency/dosage, and habits (52%) of taking micronutrient supplements. The conclusion of this study is that the behavior of pregnant women dominated by bad behavior, especially in taking vitamins A and B12. Advice for health workers is to collaborate in assisting the consumption of micronutrient supplements in pregnant women and to develop effective monitoring methods.

Abstract

The quality of life of the elderly will increase if they have psychological resilience to stress. Emotional regulation is the ability of older people to manage emotional responses in dealing with various stressors in life which will increase psychological resilience (the ability to overcome problems/stress) and quality of life. Objective. This research was conducted to find out whether emotional regulation interventions for the elderly have an effect on their quality of life and psychological resilience. This type of research is quantitative with a one group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 36 elderly people who were selected using the purposive sampling method. The research process begins with administrative permits and questionnaire testing. Next, respondents were given emotional regulation training (4 meetings) and their resilience and quality of life were measured before and after the training. The instruments used to measure it are the Resilience Questionnaire (RSOA) and the Quality of Life Questionnaire (WHOQOL-Bref). Data were analyzed univariately using frequency and mean methods, bivariately using Spearmann rho correlation. The research results show that emotional regulation training can improve the resilience and quality of life of the elderly.

Abstract

The recovery of Tb patients depends on medication adherence. Drug side effects, duration of treatment, health control, and social stigma towards Tb patients influence adherence. The assumption that Tb is a hereditary disease, a curse, and challenging to cure makes patients unmotivated to take medicine and reluctant to go to health services because of shame. These factors are at risk of increasing drug resistance rates and hindering the recovery process in Tb patients. The purpose of this study was to describe drug compliance in patients with pulmonary Tb in West Sumba. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with a case study research design and an indepth interview technique. The sample selection was made by purposive sampling with the age 20-45 criteria. Data analysis was done by reducing, presenting, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that drug adherence behavior in TB patients was influenced by treatment routines, barriers during treatment, and emotional, informational, and financial support from the social environment. According to the community, Tb is a curse, contagious and dangerous disease, not a cursed one. Therefore, the results of this study should serve as a basis for health workers and health policymakers in the West Sumba region to design health promotion programs on the importance of social support on treatment adherence of Tb patients so that Tb patients can maintain treatment adherence.

Abstract

Adolescence is a problematic and difficult period because it often gives rise to several problems that are difficult to overcome, such as drug and cigarette dependence. The proportion of smoking among teenagers aged less than 15 years is greater than among those aged above because teenagers tend to have a greater curiosity, so they are more likely to smoke than adults. Parents are one of the factors causing smoking behavior in teenagers, because parents are figures for their children, so if parents smoke, teenagers tend to imitate their parents' behavior. Parents who smoke significantly increase teenagers' tendency to smoke by 1.397 times compared to teenagers whose parents are not smokers. Smoking has a huge negative impact on teenagers. Knowing how much influence parents have on adolescent smoking behavior. This research uses quantitative methods, and analytical descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. The research population was teenagers with smoking behavior, totaling 83 respondents. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The questionnaire used was created by researchers from modifications from various sources. There is a significant relationship between parental influence and smoking behavior in adolescents. With an OR of 2,824, this means that parents have a 2,824 times chance of causing smoking behavior in teenagers. There is a need to educate parents not to smoke at home and in front of their children.

This research was conducted in February – May 2022 at PT Lintasarta. Results: The results of this study there was no significant relationship between age (p=0.853) and gender (p=1,000) with complaints of LBP and there was a significant relationship between sitting position (p=0.041) and length of sitting (p=0.033) in front of a computer with NPB complaints. Conclusion: The results of the chi square test found that there was no significant relationship between age, gender and complaints of LBP. There is a significant relationship between sitting position and long sitting in front of the computer with complaints of LBP. Abstract

Self-efficacy is very important to determine pregnant women's confidence in taking preeclampsia prevention measures. Pregnant women with high self-efficacy will actively participate in planning care during pregnancy to achieve healthy conditions for the mother and baby, whereas poor self-efficacy results in feelings of frustration and anger during pregnancy. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and stress and the self-efficacy of pregnant women in preventing preeclampsia. This research uses a correlational analytical design with a cross sectional approach. The sample in this study was 60 pregnant women who were at risk of preeclampsia. Samples were selected using purposive sampling technique in accordance with previously determined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data collection uses a questionnaire. Data analysis used the Spearman correlation test. The results of the analysis show that there is a relationship between knowledge (p: 0.015; r: 0.311) and stress (p: 0.048; r: -0.256) with the self-efficacy of pregnant women in preventing preeclampsia. Based on these results, efforts need to be made to increase knowledge and reduce stress in pregnant women through education and stress management activities so that they can increase the self-efficacy of pregnant women.
