Abstract

This study investigates the challenges faced by fourth-grade teachers at SD Al Baitul Amien 02 (Full Day School) in Jember in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. The introduction identifies key issues such as a lack of experience with the curriculum, insufficient training, and low-quality textbooks that hinder the effective adoption of student-centered learning. The study employs a qualitative research method, utilizing interviews and classroom observations to explore how teachers navigate these challenges. Results reveal that teachers struggle with time management due to a packed schedule, limited access to digital resources, and a lack of basic digital competencies, which further complicate the implementation process. The study concludes by highlighting the need for improved teacher training, better access to resources, and more time for teachers to adapt to the curriculum changes in order to enhance the successful implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at the school.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on mathematics education through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The primary issue addressed is the low mathematical proficiency of Indonesian students as reflected in international standards such as PISA and TIMSS. The study identifies student abilities, learning media, educational levels, and topics best suited for PBL implementation. Data were collected from 27 articles selected using the PRISMA protocol based on inclusion criteria, such as type of literature and publication years ranging from 2020 to 2024. The findings indicate that PBL is most commonly implemented to enhance mathematical problem-solving skills. High school education (SMA) is the most frequently studied level, with topics such as geometry, algebra, and statistics being the focus. Technology-based media, such as GeoGebra, support PBL implementation by providing visualizations of abstract concepts. This study concludes that PBL significantly contributes to improving students' conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Differentiated learning is an instructional approach designed to accommodate the diverse abilities, interests, and learning needs of students. This study explores the implementation of differentiated learning to foster 4C (Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, and Communication) skills in Grade X students during Islamic Education (PAI) lessons at SMK Plus Nurul Ulum Kemungsari Lor Panti Jember. The research specifically examines three aspects: the activities involved in differentiated learning, its relevance in fostering 4C skills, and the outcomes achieved through its application. This qualitative descriptive study employed observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection methods. Data were analyzed using Miles, Huberman, and Saldana’s interactive model, which includes data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data condensation involved selecting, focusing, simplifying, abstracting, and transforming the collected information. The credibility of the findings was ensured through triangulation of techniques and sources. The findings demonstrate that differentiated learning effectively supports the development of 4C skills in students by tailoring the teaching process to their unique needs. This approach not only enhances students’ engagement and learning outcomes but also highlights its relevance as a pedagogical strategy for Islamic Education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the Yasinan tradition in MIN 4 Batang Hari contributes to instilling character values in students. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data was obtained through interviews with teachers and students, direct observation, and documentation of Yasinan's activities. The results of the study show that Yasinan activities are an effective means of shaping students' character, such as discipline, order, and other Islamic values. Teachers play a role model in guiding students, but there are several obstacles, such as lack of parental attention and the influence of social media that can affect student behavior. Therefore, synergy is needed between Madrasah and parents to optimize the formation of student character through sustainable religious activities.

Abstract

This study aims to see how the information representation and the role of e-news media on bullying cases of students with learning difficulties or called slow learners in e-news media. This research uses qualitative research through content analysis. The object of the research is e-news about bullying cases by two teachers in a school in Medan and bullying cases by several students in a school in Semarang, on detik.com and kompas.com. The results showed that the representation of information about bullying on students with learning difficulties in schools included information about the beginning of viral cases on social media, personal experiences, negative impact on victims of bullying, the results of investigations of various related parties, consequences for perpetrators of bullying, information containing support for victims of bullying, policies and programs to prevent bullying, information containing education for the public, information in order to build awareness and solidarity and action of the anti-bullying movement. These representations of information illustrate that e-news media do not only present news in the sense of reporting a case, but also support information literacy by providing understanding, concern and awareness of bullying cases. Meanwhile, e-news media have played a role in disseminating information, conducting anti-bullying campaigns, creating an open culture in discussing cases of bullying in the public sphere, providing education, building public awareness and solidarity in bullying prevention actions, providing advocacy, intervention and collecting feedback from the public on policies and implementation of the anti-bullying movement. In the end, e-news media is expected to be able to participate in the bullying prevention movement in schools.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in Indonesia's economy, but still face challenges in terms of human resource capacity and technology adoption. This research aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurship education and business mentoring on the success of community-based micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Nganjuk Regency. Using a quantitative approach with the stratified random sampling technique, this research involves 196 MSMEs as respondents. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The research results show that entrepreneurship education (?=0.338) and business mentoring (?=0.425) have a positive and significant impact on the success of MSMEs, both partially and simultaneously (R²=0.394). These findings imply the importance of integrating entrepreneurship education programs and business mentoring in efforts to develop community-based MSMEs.
