Abstract

This study investigated the effect of the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model combined with serialized picture screen media, known as Lagari, on the literacy and communication skills of third-grade students in an Indonesian elementary school. Employing a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, the research involved a specific sample of primary school learners to measure the impact of this integrated method. The findings from statistical analyses, including the independent sample t-test and linear regression, were decisive. The results showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), clearly indicating that the TTW model with Lagari media (X) had a significant positive effect on both students' reading and writing literacy skills (Y1) and their communication abilities (Y2). The rationale for this success is rooted in the model's structured yet interactive nature. The TTW framework actively engages students by first requiring them to process information individually (Think), then articulate and debate their ideas within a group setting (Talk), and finally construct and solidify their understanding through written expression (Write). This entire process is effectively scaffolded by the Lagari media, which provides a coherent visual narrative that stimulates discussion and guides narrative construction. The implications of these findings are substantial for educational practice. They confirm that the TTW model, when enhanced with visual aids like Lagari, is a highly effective pedagogical strategy. It is therefore strongly recommended for application in primary education to simultaneously cultivate the critical and interconnected competencies of literacy and verbal communication, which are fundamental to academic success and lifelong learning

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the perceptions of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers toward the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) Kota Binjai and its contribution to strengthening students’ religious character. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach through interviews, observations, and documentation. The study involved five informants, consisting of the principal and four IRE teachers. The findings reveal that Islamic Religious Education teachers at MIN Kota Binjai have a positive perception of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, viewing it as an effort aligned with strengthening students’ religious character and adapting education to contemporary needs. Although they face challenges such as limited learning facilities and insufficient technical training, the teachers demonstrate strong commitment through participation in MGMP (Subject Teacher Forum), internal training, and collaborative module development. The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum has significantly contributed to shaping students’ religious character through Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) projects, worship activities, and reflective learning that instills values of honesty, discipline, and tolerance. Optimization efforts are carried out through technology-based learning innovations, integration of Islamic values across subjects, and the creation of a religious learning environment. Overall, it can be concluded that the Merdeka Curriculum has been effectively utilized as an essential instrument in developing a generation that is intellectually, spiritually, and morally excellent.

Abstract

The issue of disciplinary practices among students in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) is an important topic that needs to be examined. The phenomenon of student behavior that shows a lack of discipline or is far from the values of discipline has affected the teaching and learning process in pesantren. This study aims to describe the implementation of the student handbook as an effort to improve student discipline. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, involving data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The focus of this research is to understand how the student handbook is implemented and its effectiveness in improving student discipline. The implementation model used is the MUNASIR model, which includes Modelling, Universal, Natural, Action, Socialization, Internalization, Reward, and Punishment. The results of the study show that the implementation of the student handbook with the MUNASIR model is effective in improving student discipline in pesantren. Through this approach, students become more aware of the importance of discipline and show improved disciplined behavior in their daily lives at the pesantren. This study contributes to the development of more systematic and structured strategies for improving student discipline in Islamic boarding schools

Abstract

Group investigation is able to make the students involved from the planning, writing, until the completing of writing, both in determining the topic as well as a way to learn through investigation. One thing that differentiates it from other cooperative learning model is the model has a major focus group investigation of an object or topic to write. The investigation has provided opportunities for students to argue, think critically, do the findings and analyze collaboratively. The use of this model will also allow students to achieve success in learning, thinking skills and social skills. This learning model allows students to develop the knowledge, abilities, and skills totally in a learning environment that is open and democratic. Students are no longer as an object of learning, but can also act as tutors for their peers. The application of the model group investigation in writing class that implements the practice of speaking directly, authentic and natural is in line with efforts to improve and develop characters. Natural context in learning writing makes the learning process designed more meaningful. Learning to write by using a theoretical model of group investigations involving students in planning, exploring and sharing ideas. Students are encouraged to collaborate with friends and learn the "how" of their own in accordance with the cognitive style of each. Students empowered as the learners are able to argue, work hard, share, help peers, and have affection to friends.

Abstract

Scholars argue that in the Islamic law there are all laws that govern all human behavior, both word and deed. These laws are sometimes stated explicitly and strictly and sometimes only in the form of arguments and rules in general. To understand Islamic law in the form of the first one is not necessary ijtihad, but simply taken and practiced as it is, because it is clearly and explicitly called by Allah. Islamic law in this form is called pure revelation. As for the knowledge of Islamic law in the second form, it is necessary for the sincere efforts of the mujtahids to dig into the law contained in the nash through careful study and understanding; The whole law set forth in this manner is called fiqih.
