Abstract

In line with the increasing public need for information about health, public service advertisements are one of the appropriate media to be used by activists in carrying out health promotion. Media as a source of information must be designed as well as possible, starting from the concept to the visual form. During its development, public service advertising media in Indonesia still needs to be developed so that its quality can be globally equal. Increasing the quality of public service advertising media will have a positive impact on the target of delivering messages in a persuasive manner, creativity and innovation must continue to be implemented. Based on this, the field of visual communication design is here to collaborate in designing public service advertising media as a problem solver. The design process cannot be done instantly, there are several processes that must be passed, such as the process of drafting the concept and visual layout. In compiling basic visual concepts and layouts, there are several aspects that need to be considered, including communication and visual aspects. The communication aspect is needed as a form of a detailed communication strategy in conveying information to audiences, while the visual aspect is needed as a form of good presentation in perceiving ideas so that the media is easily accepted and remembered by the audience. The qualitative research method is used in analyzing the public service advertisement poster media as the research object. This understanding is expected to be able to improve the quality of the media, especially public service advertisements engaged in the health sector.

Abstract

Research title is"Building of Character Children Through Theater". This research use qualitative methode with descriptive analysis. The theater performance “Run to the Moon” and the “Children's Tale” is the result of observation and the director's anger toward the children in Kampung Purus (which is usually called Kampung Puruih). Children are busy with social media so there is a lack of interaction between people. The theater performance Run to the Moon and the Children's Tale is a reality that is packed into a stage event and directly involving the children as the performer. The theater performance Run to the Moon Children’s Tale can be use to build children's character, because the message of tale invite children to interact with others, diligent study and good behavior and polite. This study aims to explore the character building of children with theater performance Run to the Moon and Children's Tale using the method of Sociology of Art and Psychotherapy.

Abstract

In an advertisement sometimes there is a meaning that is presented not straightforward. Every TVC that uses real human talent cannot be separated from the camera's perspective. THE IMPORTANCE OF CAMERA VIEWS ON VIDEO MEDIA ADVERTISING examines the relationship of camera placement (angle) in influencing the message conveyed by a TVC and how cinematography is used as visual rhetoric. The study was conducted qualitatively with a semiotic film analysis approach. Data THE IMPORTANCE OF CAMERA VIEWS ON VIDEO MEDIA ADS is grouped into 4 structures, namely Visual Structure, Verbal Structure (Language, Character, Settings, Time), Narrative Structure and Audio Structure. Diachronic analysis using signifier (sign) and signified (sign) views. Some types of angles are Extreme Long Shot (ELS), Very Long Shot (VLS), Long Shot (LS), Medium Long Shot (MLS), Medium Shot (MS), Medium Close Up (MCU), Close Up (CU), Big Close Up (BCU), Low Angle Shot, Eye Level Shot. The selection of the selected images to be analyzed is carried out on the following basis: (1) Selecting an image according to the type of camera angle. (2) Sort images according to the type of camera angle. (3) Analyze each film and the impression built from each camera's perspective. (4) Comparing the impressions of the two analyzes. (5) Explain the reasons for the different impressions that arise, when the viewpoint of the camera is the same but the impression obtained is different. The camera angle is important in creating certain impressions, for example the impression of horror.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive study of the phenomenon of Senjang art performance in the context of ceremonial events in the community of Sekayu city. This study used a qualitative approach, with data collection carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation, and data presentation techniques in the form of analytical descriptive writing. The results of this study are in the form of descriptions of the development of Senjang art in the city of Sekayu, and textual descriptions of the presentation of Senjang performances which include; the composition of the presentation of Senjang art, aspects of Senjang literary text, transcription of vocal music melodies, transcription of the main melody form of the musical instruments of Senjang, aspects of the players, the audience, and the place of the performance. Senjang is one of the traditional arts that has developed in Musi Banyuasin district, especially the city of Sekayu. Senjang is an oral literature of the type of pantun and talibun which in its presentation is combined with music and dance. This art has been inherited from generation to generation for a long time by the Musi Banyuasin community, especially the city of Sekayu. Senjang art initially only developed in Sungai Keruh sub-district, but over time this art began to develop in other areas around it, including in Babat Toman sub-district, Sanga Desa sub-district, and Sekayu district. In terms of the performance, Senjang is presented by telling rhymes spontaneously either singly (one person) or spoken by two people (usually in pairs) in an integrated manner, and accompanied by music. The accompaniment music in Senjang presentation usually uses a single organ, and there are some who use a single guitar, with the playing of short melodies that are repeated. In its presentation, the Senjang vocal music speech with accompanying musical instruments is not played simultaneously, but is played alternately.

Abstract

The General Election was held in 2019 with the KPU as the organizer on April 17, 2019. Among the tasks of the KPU was the dissemination of General Elections to remote areas throughout Indonesia. Remote areas are the main concern of the KPU in an effort to increase election participation in 2019, because remote areas are one of the biggest contributors to the Golput number in the 2014 elections. One of the remote areas with very low participation rates is Tegal Rejo Village, Gedang Sari District, Gunung Kidul Regency. This village is located in a hilly area which is one of the disaster prone areas. Tegal Rejo village has not received socialization from the Gunung Kidul Regency KPU and many villagers are still not informed about the 2019 Presidential Election. From the problems that occur, the author finds a solution to the problem by making an "Infographic Design as a Media Supporting the Socialization of KPU to Remote Areas". As for this design contains information on Election 2019, such as the introduction of candidates in the form of profiles of each prospective president and vice president, procedures for voting, time and place of execution until the conditions become a Permanent Voters List (DPT). And the media created will be given to the KPU to be the material for dissemination to remote areas in Indonesia.

Abstract

This article discusses the results of research on Sardundun's spoken literature in Tanjung Bulan village, Pulau Beringin district (OKU Selatan). The background is the need for local cultural inheritance that has a life value, but has begun to be abandoned by the community. The approach used in this research is qualitative with descriptive methods. The results of this study are to present poetry that contains elements of language and art culture that have local cultural richness in the local area. The purpose of this research is to make the public know that the province of South Sumatra has a culture in Sardundun's speech. The value contained is the principle of life that exists in a creature is to convey gratitude to the creator, which is based on conscience through the medium of the spoken language. Through inheritance, it can be done using the medium of the language spoken. However, it is not limited to oral, but written orally. Initially in the form of spoken speech, now it can only be done by means of written speech. Through local cultural inheritance, it is very appropriate to do it with written media and then tell it. Inheritance is more effectively carried out in educational institutions, because it serves as a forum for learning and teaching. Recommendations for further research, so that it can be used as material for the world of education, so that the transformation of the local Sardundun culture is carried out and its inheritance can be realized. Thus the local culture still exists and exists in the community where the speech was born, and is familiar with the community in general.

Abstract

This article discusses the results of research on Rejung art in Tanjung Bulan village, Pulau Beringin district (OKU Selatan). The background, the need to be studied and transformed towards regeneration. Because it is rich in local cultural values. The approach used in this research is qualitative with descriptive methods. The results of this study are that there are poems that contain the value of life containing messages; advice, moral, social, religious, and aesthetic. The purpose of this research was to determine the content of the art of rejung, both express and implied. The values contained are the values of local wisdom as a guide in character education. It is recommended that further research be carried out, so that it can be used as material for the world of education, especially at the elementary school level, as material for children’s character education, because it contains the values of life with a local culture of Semende ethnicity. The art of rejung has local wisdom values contained in it. Its cultural values are more on the values of life. The value of life contained in the art of rejung which includes; values of trust and advice, moral values, religious values, and aesthetic values. The value of the mandate and advice that develops in rejung art poetry is conveyed through rejung art poetry with various titles and types of rhymes created by the artists. The mandate values contained in the lyrics are presented in the form of a vocal presentation with a variety of different kenjun. Then on the aesthetic value. The aesthetic value of the art of rejung is seen in the kenjun in each presentation. Kenjun is the rise and fall of the rejung art song melody. Kenjun can be interpreted as the value of beauty, because Semende's custom is a custom that is beautiful and peaceful, and full of affection. This is still related to the customary law rules adopted, because Semende's customary law is oriented towards Islam. His art also contains the values of life in accordance with Islamic law and law.

Abstract

Technological progress is something that can not be avoided in today's life. One of the results of technological development is the internet, one of its benefits is as a means of entertainment, for example to play online games. Online games themselves are not only played from computer games but can also be played on smartphones, online games are much loved by teenagers because online games themselves are a means of entertainment for them but most teenagers are addicted to playing online games. Online games themselves have positive and negative impacts, but if playing excessive online games can have positive impacts which are definitely addicted to playing continuously. The main study of this research focuses on the identification, analysis and design of Video Motion Graphic works and other supporting media. This design uses premedia media planning methods, playing media and media follow-up. Data collected through, observation, interviews, literature and website. The data is then identified, classified, selected, then analyzed using the 5W + 1H method and interpreted according to the text and context. The design of the social media campaign of the impact of online games for teens in the city of Palembang as a visual communication media which is part of the design discussion. This design aims to encourage adolescents to reduce and reduce the number of addictions due to online games especially teenagers in the city of Palembang in order to be able to balance between playing online games and learning to get achievements in education.

Abstract

A city of Pariangan is an old city in Minangkabau. A city called as the area of origin of the ancestors of the Minangkabau people that have a lot of potential both natural beauty and culture that is still exist and protected. Through the design of brand identity, the various potentials in the city of Pariangan is such a beautiful way that the creation of an effective promotional activities. So it can increase the number of tourists visiting both local and foreign. This will affect the economic sector of the community, either directly or indirectly. In the application of the concept that is inspired from the unique visual design of Pariangan city. Like the illumination motif of the ancient manuscript of Pariangan such as "Kambang Reno", a pointed roof typically of Minangkabau, roof terraced from the old mosque that became the pride of society and the typical stairs of Pariangan city. The color choice of yellow, brown and green to symbolize the natural cycles are some process of planting to harvest the rice. A brand identity of Pariangan city are designed into logos and supporting media such as stationaries, sovenir and social media that synergize together into a visual unity. The Synergy between the media will affect the image formation of the Pariangan city itself to be easier to remember and recognizeable by tourists. The successfulness of this brand identity affects the cooperation of various parties to always be consistent to apply and use this brand.

Abstract

Inyiak Upiak Palatiang was born in 1900s in Kubu Gadang Hamlet, Nagari Gunuang, Padang Panjang City, he is famous as a pandeka (swordsman) Minangkabau silat girl who controls the flow of silek gunuang (Silat Gunung). (Interview with grandson Inyiak Upiak Palatiang, Fardizal, 20.00WIB, Padang Panjang, January 8, 2017). Inyiak Upiak Palatiang is a Minangkabau martial arts master, when he is 100 years old, he is still active in preserving and preserving the art of Minangkabau culture, even being a teacher of silek tuo (old martial arts), He is also known as a reliable kicker with various dendang creations besides Inyiak Upiak Palatiang also likes to play art Randai tradition. Based on the explanation of the greatness of Inyiak Upiak Palatiang, pengkarya plans to lift it into a musical masterpiece of the archipelago that will be titled "Inyak Upiak Palatiang", with the reason of the name of Inyiak Upiak Palatiang already representing what he cared for during his life. Background of the phenomenon that has been described, it can be formulated a formulation of the creation of the work, that is how to transform the phenomenon of a female character Inyiak Upiak Palatiang , into a musical composition of the archipelago, which will be divided into two sub-works, namely Upiak and Palatiang.
