Abstract

The use of social media and understanding in the field of Information Systems (IS) in the early stages of business activities is a new phenomenon. Social media can provide additional customer and industry data to digitally transform information into knowledge for innovation. Such an amalgamation provides a potentially complementary role in the relationship between human capital and innovation outcomes. Through social media technology, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) can communicate information and respond to competitors with minimal costs. The ability to share and access information can affect the performance of MSMEs. One important aspect that has emerged recently is open innovation. A previous study has highlighted the importance of human capital for innovation performance. The purpose of this study is to conceptualize the use of social media in an effort to improve the performance of MSMEs from an open innovation-based human capital perspective. The method used is a literature review that is relevant from 2018 to 2022. The results show that the importance of using social media and human capital has a synergistic relationship that has a direct effect on open innovation in improving MSME performance.

Abstract

The development of transportation in Indonesia has entered an era of collaboration with information technology. Online-based transportation has proven to facilitate the mobility of people's lives. The emergence of various online transportation providers in Indonesia requires these providers to have data-based programmed business planning. Predicting customer loyalty is one of the factors considered in business planning. This study aims to predict the switching behavior of online transportation users using Markov Analysis. The study uses data taken from 100 respondents in Jakarta. User switching patterns are analyzed based on the first, second, and third months of online transportation providers used by the respondents. Gojek and Grab are used as the online transportation providers examined in this study. The study results in a Steady State or equilibrium condition, showing that Gojek has a 66% user loyalty rate, while Grab has a 34% user loyalty rate.

Abstract

In today's online technology, we have to learn various things so that we can adjust to social behavior, for example, buying and selling activities that cover all walks of life, now everyone doesn't hesitate to shop online. The online market is growing fast, especially in Indonesia. Anyone can sell and buy goods easily through online stores, so that people's purchasing power and sales increase due to the proliferation of online stores, XYZ stores are still beginners in terms of sales strategies so they try all efforts without careful preparation, one of the ways to do this is to expand its market coverage even to export goods abroad. the process of exporting goods in the current era is not a difficult thing to do, but it requires knowledge and preparation of a good strategy. from existing sales data can be analyzed to determine the right strategy in marketing goods. Data Mining is a science that helps analyze large amounts of data with the aim of gaining new knowledge that can be utilized. In Data Mining Analysis there is the FP-Growth algorithm which is a data mining technique for finding association rules from lots of data. This is known as the Association rule, where the rule will be determined from the minimum support and confidence results. the rules that are formed produce 10 rules out of 51 existing data, these rules help determine the export sales strategy at the XYZ store.

Abstract

Malware is a type of software designed to harm various devices. As malware evolves and diversifies, traditional signature-based detection methods have become less effective against advanced types such as polymorphic, metamorphic, and oligomorphic malware. To address this challenge, machine learning-based malware detection has emerged as a promising solution. In this study, we evaluated the performance of several machine learning algorithms in detecting malware and applied Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to the best-performing algorithm to reduce the number of features and improve performance. Our results showed that the Random Forest algorithm outperformed Adaboost, Neural Network, Support Vector Machine, and k-Nearest Neighbor algorithms with an accuracy and recall rate of 98.3%. By applying PCA, we were able to further improve the performance of Random Forest to 98.7% for both accuracy and recall while reducing the number of features from 1084 to 32.

Abstract

The Faculty of Computer Science, Lancang Kuning University, as a private university in the city of Pekanbaru, uses the Sevima Edlink platform as a media for academic information systems and online learning. According to some students, there are still some obstacles encountered in understanding, using and functioning this edlink application. The purpose of this study was to measure the level of satisfaction of students of the Faculty of Computer Science in using Edlink using the C4.5 and Naïve Bayes algorithms. To measure the level of accuracy of the C4.5 and Naïve Bayes algorithms in order to measure the level of student satisfaction, the indicators used are the Servqual testing model, namely Tangible, Reability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy. Based on the level of accuracy of the two methods. In the dataset used there were 91 student respondents who had filled out the questionnaire. From the questionnaire data, it was then processed using both methods and 9 comparisons of the different Training Data and Testing Data were carried out. In general, students are satisfied and understand the use of the edlink application. This satisfaction was tested using the C4.5 Decision Tree Algorithm and the Naïve Bayes Classifier. Based on the comparison that has been carried out using the C4.5 Decision Tree Algorithm, it produces an average accuracy value of 77.78%, which is slightly more accurate than the Naïve Bayes Classifier which produces an average accuracy value of 71.11%.

Abstract

The website is an information technology facility that is the main branding tool for universities. This research uses studies at tertiary institutions that have changed from high schools to universities. This change has an impact on reducing the number of users accessing the website, so it is necessary to analyze the quality of the website to improve the image of universities. The aim was to analyze the quality of the website on the image of the university by mediating brand awareness, and its impact on user satisfaction and the intention to revisit the university's website. This research is quantitative research with a survey method. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Questionnaires were distributed to respondents who met the criteria via Google Form in 2023 and obtained 278 respondents. The analysis technique used was Partial Least Square with Structure Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using measurement model evaluation and structural model evaluation using the SmartPLS application. The results of this study indicate that there is a strong influence of website quality in building a college's brand image. Improving the quality of the website is proven to be able to increase brand awareness and the image of higher education institutions. The impact of improving the university's image is increasing website user satisfaction so that there is an intention from users to revisit the university's website in the future.

Abstract

SMKN1 on the island of Bangka is a school located in the Bangka area. Currently, SMKN1 already uses and implements IS/IT to carry out its business processes. There are several problems in schools such as a website system that cannot be accessed, student attendance records are done manually so that recording errors often occur, and errors in recording the names of students who have attended extracurricular due to the large number of students. Therefore, we need an IS/IT design that can support the company's ongoing business processes. In this study, research and design were carried out with the application of enterprise architecture. The framework used in this article is the Zachman framework. In this paper, a complete perspective is not used, only using a 4x5 perspective because the process is not carried out until the implementation, the process is carried out only until the design. The result of the design is in the form of an IS/IT system blueprint. Suggested applications are school websites, e-library websites, attendance websites, procurement systems, and extracurricular websites.

Abstract

Suryamart is one of the business entities of the Directorate of Business Development and Investment (DPBI) UMSIDA engaged in retail. Although Suryamart is an internal business entity, it not only serves the needs of its internal buyers - employees and lecturers, but also the needs of the general public. In carrying out its business, the author found that many general people still feel unfamiliar with Suryamart stores. In contrast, in-house shoppers are too busy to come to the store to shop in person, so they are less interested in shopping. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of helping internal shoppers shop effectively and efficiently, as well as improving interaction with the wider general public in the future. The author uses the waterfall software development model to minimize errors and speed up the development process because it follows a sequential development process. The result of this study is an e-commerce system consisting of applications for users and admins. This application will simplify the process of ordering buyers and management by admins.

Abstract

The use of the internet is currently an important requirement at the STMIK Amik Riau institution, especially in the fields of administration, service and learning. The whole process of the current hotspot internet network service will be connected to students, lecturers, employees and guests. The user must register the network card device in the form of a MAC address to the admin. However, the current system has many weaknesses, including the use of the internet by lecturers and employees as well as the slow performance of information services, getting uneven internet access, while students do not have free hotspot access. This study aims to solve this problem by implementing user login management and bandwidth using the Queue Tree method with the Peer Connection Queue (PCQ) feature. The management process on the server can limit user traffic in uploading and downloading and bandwidth is divided equally in obtaining internet services. In this study, when a user accesses the internet, it is enough to use NIM, NIDN, NIK and guests are given access by default. This research aims to make it easier to access the internet using both laptops and other devices, to make it easier for users and admins to get and provide internet facilities.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence has undergone rapid evolution, reaching a level of sophistication where it is now considered a personal assistant, aiding humans in their daily tasks. The potential of artificial intelligence can be observed in almost every sector of life including the business sector. Limited resources and skill capabilities especially for micro, small, and medium enterprises tend to hinder progress. However, given the current advanced level of artificial intelligence, it has emerged as an innovative and cost-effective solution to support business actors. This research systematically examines and discusses the potential of utilizing artificial intelligence in the business sector from credible and scientific sources. A systematic literature review methodology is used for this study. The review encompasses Scopus-indexed journals published between 2019 and 2023, with additional open-access publications. Based on the research findings, 106 studies were found, however, after the screening process the number of studies is reduced to 13 articles. Customer churn management emerged as the most prominent utilization of artificial intelligence. On the other hand, from a technological perspective, optimization technique emerged as the most frequently addressed topic in the examined studies.
