Abstract

Data from the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) in 2017, the global prevalence rate was 425 million people in the world experiencing DM. Estimated in 2045, it will increase to 48% (629 million) among DM sufferers aged 20-79 years. Elderly is a process of aging with increasing age, which is characterized by decreasing the function of the body's organs.  To determine the correlation between lifestyle factors and blood glucose levels to elderly at Elderly Posyandu in Pelem Village, Kediri District.  The research design was quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. The research sample was elderly from Pelem Village, totaling 65 respondents. The independent variables were lifestyle factors (physical activity, frequency of carbohydrate consumption, frequency of fiber consumption, obesity and medication compliance), while the dependent variable was blood glucose level. The measuring instruments used questionnaires and GDA measurement tools. Data processing used univariate and bivariate tests with chi-square. Univariate analysis showed that most of elderly were aged 66-70 years (38.5%), male (63.1%), low education (52.3%) and not working (41.5%). Bivariate results showed correlation between lifestyle factors such as physical activity (p=0.007), frequency of carbohydrate consumption (p=0.028), frequency of fiber consumption (p=0.005), obesity (p=0.029) and medication compliance (p=0.032) and blood glucose levels to elderly. There was correlation between lifestyle factors and blood glucose levels to elderly.

Abstract

Caring for family members who suffer from mental disorders at home is not easy and causes various problems for other family members. Problems often experienced by families include physical, psychological, social, financial and family function problems that can disrupt mental health. This research aims to determine the description of mental health in families who care for people with mental disorders. The method in this research was descriptive. The population in this study were families who had family members with mental disorders in the Jatibarang Community Health Center Work Area. The research sampling technique used purposive sampling on 73 respondents. The instrument used the Self Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ) with 20 question items. Data analysis used univariate analysis. The research was found that 62% of respondents did not experience emotional mental disorders and 38% experienced emotional mental disorders. The conclusion of this research was that 38% of families experience mental health problems (emotional mental disorders). Suggestions for health workers are expected to provide appropriate interventions to families in an effort to prevent mental health problems and provide support to families to ease the burden of family care in caring for people with mental disorders.

Abstract

This research elaborates on the influence of the Al-Fatihah letter as a spiritual therapy method for dealing with stress based on a literature review. Surah Al-Fatihah, which consists of seven verses, has content that is believed to be able to provide calm and peace for its readers. This study explored how the elements in Surah Al-Fatihah can function as medicine for stress from a psychological and spiritual perspective. Literature analysis shows that Surah Al-Fatihah has several key elements that have the potential to reduce stress: praise to Allah, the Most Gracious and Most Merciful, acknowledgment of Allah's power, and a request for help and guidance. This reesults showed that praise and recognition helps reduce anxiety and provides a sense of security, while asking for help creates feelings of support and guidance in facing life's challenges. Anxiety reduction can be achieved through repeated reading of Surah Al-Fatihah which has a meditative effect, as well as through confidence and faith which provides a sense of calm and security. Social support from religious practices in the community also plays an important role in stress management. In conclusion, Surah Al-Fatihah has great potential as an effective spiritual therapy method for reducing stress. These findings indicate the need for further research through empirical.

Abstract

Chronic Renal Failure has emerged as one of the most prominent causes of death and suffering in the 21st century. According to WHO figures, 1.2 million people died and 697.5 million people developed chronic kidney failure in 2017. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of hemodialysis therapy compliance to the quality of life of patients with chronic renal failure. Chronic renal failure is a clinical condition characterized by decreased kidney function that requires patients to undergo hemodialysis therapy Chronic renal failure patients undergoing hemodialysis therap y cannot return to their original condition, so compliance in undergoing therapy must be done to achieve a good quality of life. The research design used correlation. The population in this study were all patients in the Hemodialysis Room of RSUD Sekarwangi Kabupaten Sukabumi with a sample of 81 patients through total sampling. Data collection technique was questionnaire. Data analysis used was Chi-Square test. Most patients were compliant in undergoing hemodialysis therapy and had adequate quality of life. The p-value = 0.000 means <0.05, which shows that there is a relationship between hemodialysis therapy compliance and the quality of life of patients with chronic renal failure in the Hemodialysis Room of Sekarwangi Hospital, Sukabumi Regency. It is concluded that there is a relationship between hemodialysis therapy compliance and the quality of life of patients with chronic renal failure.

Abstract

BPCA (Guidebook for Preventing Anemia) in an effort to prevent anemia is one of the innovative health education activities which aims to add knowledge and create a positive attitude towards preventing anemia. The aim of the research is to determine the effectiveness of BPCA in increasing knowledge and attitudes towards anemia in adolescents in the North Singkawang I Community Health Center area. Method research is a quantitative research design quasi-experimental pre & post test with control group. The sample in this study consisted of 40 respondents. Sampling in used purposive sampling. The data taken is in the form of Identity and Knowledge and Attitude data in efforts to prevent Anemia using Questionnaire Instruments. This increase in Knowledge and attitudes is due to the fact that during the research, teenagers received information on an incentive basis assisted by media in the form of a Guidebook to Prevent Anemia to make it easier for teenagers to understand and absorb information. Anemia is a condition that causes stunting in teenagers. In its implementation, the learning process does not just provide one-way information, but involves teenagers as an audience to interact with questions and answers and discuss. The role of Health Workers is needed as a Companion in the Knowledge Transfer Process.

Abstract

Healthy elderly people are everyone's hope who do not experience illnesses such as hypertension. Discussion forums are activity carried out by the elderly at the posyandu so that the elderly can carry out prevention and early recognition of the symptoms of hypertension. The aim of the research was to determine the effectiveness of preventing hypertension by providing knowledge about hypertension. The method used quantitative with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Respondents were divided into two groups, namely the group receiving counseling and the control group. The research was conducted in 2023 at the North Singkawang Community Health Center. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test obtained a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 indicating that there was a significant difference in knowledge after being given education about hypertension prevention between the intervention group and the control group. The family plays a role in increasing efforts to prevent hypertension by exercising, eating healthy food and carrying out regular health checks. The elderly are expected to play an active role in hypertension control and prevention programs.

Abstract

Anemia is one of the health problems that often occurs adolescent girls because they often bleed every month or menstruation. This study aims to analyze the factors that can cause anemia in adolescent girls at SMK Negeri x Sumedang. The research method used in this reasech is descriptive quantitative. With an existing population of 202 people, researchers took a sample of 134 people. Data collection techniques in this study used a questionnaire instrument with 40 questions. from the questionnaire the researcher obtained the results that good knowledge as many as 127 people (94.8%), less knowledge as many as 7 people (5.2%); Good attitude as many as 133 people (99.3%), less good as many as 1 person (0.7%); Good diet as many as 39 people (29.1%), poor diet as many as 95 people (70.9%); Normal menstrual patterns as many as 38 people (24.4%) and abnormal as many as 96 people (71.6%). Based on the results of the discussion of factors causing anemia in adolescent girls at SMK Negeri x Sumedang, it can be concluded that the factors that cause anemia in adolescent girls at SMK Negeri x Sumedang consist of factors of knowledge, attitudes, diet, and menstrual patterns

Abstract

Gastritis is one of the non-communicable diseases that occurs due to an unhealthy and irregular lifestyle. Gastritis is a disease of the stomach due to inflammation or swelling of the gastric mucosa area. Gastritis can cause discomfort in the upper abdomen, resulting in headaches and reduced appetite than before. Gastritis can occur due to the relationship between wounds in the gastric mucosa and the inflammatory process of the gastric lining epithelium. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of foods that can cause gastritis. The method in this Literature Review using 5 databases, which are Google Scholar, PubMed, EBSCo, Sciencedirect, and Scopus. The results of this study obtained 4 articles that were reviewed where milk consumption, chili sauce consumption, tea consumption, spicy consumption, acid consumption, instant noodle consumption, white bread consumption, chicken soup consumption, and risky food consumption could be the cause of gastritis. The conclusion of this study Gastritis can also cause other symptoms, namely the onset of complaints of pain in the solar plexus, symptoms of nausea and vomiting, feeling of tightness, bloating, and weakness. To prevent gastritis, it is necessary to have good food consumption habits

Abstract

One of the adolescent health problems that are the focus of the government is the prevention of anemia in adolescent girls. Based on a preliminary survey conducted at SMK N 1 Bakauheni, 20 students surveyed found 13 BMI students in the thin category who had anemia as many as 9 children. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between Body Mass Index and Hemoglobin Levels in Adolescent Girls at SMK N 1 Bakauheni South Lampung. This research method is quantitative with a cross sectional approach. The number of samples is 71 people with the sampling technique used is simple random sampling. From the test results using the Chi Square test, a significance value of 0.000 was obtained (p value 0.05). There is a relationship between body mass index and hemoglobin levels in adolescent girls at SMK N 1 Bakauheni, Lampung Selatan in 2022

Abstract

Adolescents are a group that is vulnerable to problems with balanced nutrition. Problems that occur during adolescence will continue into adulthood if prevention efforts are not taken. Balanced nutrition education is an alternative to increase and increase knowledge of overweight in adolescents. This study aims to determine the effect of balanced nutrition education on knowledge of overweight in adolescents. The research design uses quasi experiments with a one group pretest-posttest approach. The population in this study was 30 respondents using a total sampling technique. The research results obtained a pre-test score of 2.30 and a post-test of 1.33 with a change (mean difference) of 0.967. There is an influence of balanced nutrition education on knowledge of overweight in adolescents. It is hoped that health service officers in primary basic services will further improve health education for adolescents regarding balanced nutrition education as an effort to prevent overweight in adolescents.
