Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of cost efficiency strategies on profit improvement through the application of the target costing model among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) engaged in seafood processing in the coastal region of Bintan Regency. The main challenges faced by coastal MSMEs include high raw material costs, limited cost control mechanisms, and the absence of systematic cost planning aligned with target profit objectives. This research employs a quantitative descriptive approach involving 50 purposively selected respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and field observations, and analyzed using classical assumption tests and path Analysis with the assistance of SPSS software. The results indicate that both cost efficiency strategies and the implementation of target costing have a positive and significant effect on MSME profitability. The target costing model effectively optimizes production cost structures and enhances operational efficiency without compromising product quality. Overall, the findings demonstrate that target-based cost management serves as a strategic instrument for strengthening competitiveness and ensuring the business sustainability of coastal MSMEs.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of human capital quality on marketing performance from a strategic management perspective. In an increasingly competitive business environment, organizations are required to leverage internal strategic resources to achieve superior marketing outcomes. Human capital quality, reflected in employees’ knowledge, skills, experience, and capabilities, is considered a critical intangible asset that supports effective marketing strategy implementation. This research employs a quantitative explanatory approach using a survey method. Data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to employees and managers involved in marketing and strategic functions within business organizations. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and regression analysis to test the proposed relationship between human capital quality and marketing performance. The results indicate that human capital quality has a positive and statistically significant effect on marketing performance, demonstrating that organizations with higher-quality human resources tend to achieve better marketing outcomes, including sales growth, customer acquisition, and market competitiveness. These findings confirm that marketing performance is not only shaped by external market conditions but is also strongly influenced by internal strategic resources. The study concludes that human capital quality plays a crucial role in enhancing marketing performance and should be integrated into organizational strategic and marketing planning. The results provide valuable insights for managers in aligning human resource development with marketing objectives to achieve sustainable competitive advantage.

Abstract

The circular economy has emerged as an alternative development approach that transforms waste into economic value through waste-to-wealth initiatives. This study aims to empirically examine the role of circular economy–based waste-to-wealth practices in driving regional development. Using a quantitative research design, data were collected from regional waste management records and structured surveys involving waste-to-wealth initiatives across multiple regions. The analysis employs descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression to assess the relationship between waste-to-wealth implementation and regional development outcomes, including employment generation and income contribution. The results indicate that waste-to-wealth implementation has a positive and statistically significant effect on regional development, even after controlling for regional characteristics such as population size and baseline economic conditions. Regions with higher waste processing capacity and greater value-added utilization of waste tend to achieve stronger economic performance. These findings demonstrate that waste management, when oriented toward value creation, can function as a productive economic sector rather than solely an environmental activity. The study concludes that integrating circular economy principles into regional development strategies offers practical opportunities to support sustainable and inclusive regional growth. The findings provide empirical support for policymakers and regional stakeholders in designing development policies that align economic objectives with environmental sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of cloud accounting research to map its development, identify influential publications, authors, and sources, and uncover key trends and emerging themes. Using data extracted from the Scopus database and analysed through bibliometric tools such as VOSviewer, the study examines publications spanning the period from 2012 to 2025. The results reveal three distinct research phases initial conceptualization, technology integration, and strategic adoption along with critical hotspots including data security, adoption by MSMEs, system interoperability, and regulatory compliance. Furthermore, recent literature highlights the convergence of cloud accounting with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain, signalling new research frontiers. This study sheds new light on the field of cloud accounting, particularly on its evolution and future research opportunities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture and work discipline on the performance of presbyters in GMIT Syalom Oehani Congregation. The research is grounded in the importance of organizational culture as a guiding framework for values, norms, and service behavior, as well as discipline as a determinant of consistency, responsibility, and work effectiveness. The study employs a causal associative design with a quantitative approach. The population consists of 35 presbyters of the Syalom Oehani Congregation, using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using multiple regression tests with the assistance of SPSS. The results indicate that organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on presbyter performance, and work discipline also has a positive and significant effect on presbyter performance. The study concludes that the integration of a strong organizational culture and high work discipline serves as a key foundation for enhancing the effectiveness of presbyterial service in the GMIT Syalom Oehani Congregation.

Abstract

The increasing dynamism of knowledge-intensive organizations requires employees who are not only proficient in routine tasks but also capable of adapting to continuous change. This study examines the relationship between High Performance Work Systems (HPWS) and adaptive performance within knowledge-intensive organizational contexts. Using a quantitative research design, data were collected through a cross-sectional survey of employees working in organizations characterized by high reliance on knowledge, expertise, and cognitive skills. The study employed Structural Equation Modeling with a variance-based approach to analyze the relationships between the constructs. The measurement model was assessed to ensure reliability and validity, followed by structural model testing to evaluate the proposed relationship. The results indicate that HPWS has a positive and significant effect on adaptive performance, suggesting that integrated human resource practices contribute to employees’ ability to adjust behavior, learn new skills, and respond effectively to changing work demands. These findings highlight the strategic role of human resource systems in shaping adaptive behavior rather than merely supporting routine performance. The study offers practical implications for organizations seeking to enhance adaptability through coordinated HR practices and contributes to the strategic human resource management literature by extending the understanding of HPWS beyond traditional performance outcomes. Limitations and directions for future research are also discussed.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between human resource practices and innovative work behavior, with psychological safety as a mediating variable. The research aims to explain how organizational human resource systems influence employees’ innovative behavior through the development of a psychologically safe work environment. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method. Data were collected from 150 employees working in medium and large organizations across various sectors. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, reliability and validity testing, and regression-based mediation analysis. The results indicate that human resource practices have a positive and significant effect on innovative work behavior. Human resource practices also significantly influence psychological safety, which in turn positively affects innovative work behavior. Mediation analysis confirms that psychological safety partially mediates the relationship between human resource practices and innovative work behavior. These findings suggest that innovation at the employee level is driven not only by formal human resource systems but also by employees’ perceptions of interpersonal safety within the organization. The study highlights the importance of integrating supportive human resource practices with efforts to foster a psychologically safe work climate in order to sustain innovative work behavior. The findings contribute to the literature on human resource management and organizational innovation and provide practical implications for managers seeking to enhance employee-driven innovation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of organizational justice on employee retention through the application of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) principles at Hospital X in Bandung City. The identified problem is the low retention rate of permanent employees, which has the potential to disrupt the hospital’s operational effectiveness. Organizational justice is analyzed through three main dimensions: distributive, procedural, and interactional justice, within the context of Indonesia’s work culture, which tends to be hierarchical and collectivist. EDI is used as a conceptual framework to assess the contribution of a fair and inclusive work environment to employee loyalty. The study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. The research population consists of all permanent employees of Hospital X, with a sample of 286 respondents selected using purposive sampling based on Slovin’s formula. The research instrument is an online questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using linear regression. The findings reveal that organizational justice has a positive effect on EDI implementation, and EDI significantly influences employee retention. Furthermore, EDI serves as a mediator in the relationship between organizational justice and retention, highlighting the importance of justice- and inclusivity-based managerial strategies in enhancing workforce sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of organizational climate and motivation on organizational commitment among Generation Z members of the GMIT Pniel Batuinan Congregation. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through questionnaires completed by 39 respondents selected through a saturated sampling technique from the population of Generation Z congregants. The independent variables consist of organizational climate and motivation, while the dependent variable is the level of organizational commitment. Data analysis using multiple linear regression showed that organizational climate had a positive effect, while motivation had no effect on member commitment. The coefficient of determination of 0.768 indicates that approximately 76.8% of the variation in organizational commitment can be explained by these two variables. The results of this study emphasize the importance of implementing a conducive organizational climate and providing appropriate motivation to increase the commitment of Generation Z in the church environment, thereby supporting the sustainability of cadre development programs and congregation growth.

Abstract

Despite the growing importance of project management to ensure organization success, the rate of project failures remains high, which indicates the need to apply modern methods. Latest innovations in Artificial Intelligence (AI) have been used to address challenges in the field. This study aims to conduct Bibliometric Analysis and Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to investigate the implementation of AI in project management, challenges faced, and the impact of the results. The study identifies four major trends where AI is applied within project management: prediction and monitoring, work automation, interaction and collaboration through immersive technologies, and knowledge management enhancement. The study encountered several challenges, including high implementation costs, a lack of senior management commitment, cultural resistance, limited access to real-time data, strategy misalignment, and data privacy concerns, all of which posed barriers to the study. On the other hand, the results show that the use of AI has various impacts, including increased productivity, better decision-making, and higher project success rates. This study covers AI in project management over the past recent five years as a novelty, offers a comprehensive classification of application, challenges and impacts, and fills the research gap left by the previous study. By bringing these insights together, this study contributes to deeper understanding of how AI is transforming project management and provides guidance for future implementations.
