Abstract

This study examines the impact of the Program Keluarga Harapan, a conditional cash transfer initiative, on reducing child labor in Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, the research employs logistic regression analysis on data from the 2022 National Socio-Economic Survey. The findings reveal that PKH significantly reduces the likelihood of child labor by 0.383 times, demonstrating its effectiveness in reallocating children's time from work to education. Additionally, factors such as child age, gender, household head characteristics, and rural residence significantly influence child labor prevalence. The study highlights the need for expanded program coverage, improved rural education access, and multi-sector collaboration to address the root causes of child labor.

Abstract

This research delves into the algorithmic complexities of the King of Diamonds game from Alice in Borderland II, a unique variant of the Keynesian Beauty Contest. This game features imperfect information, dynamic player elimination, and a critical rule where the objective is to choose a number closest to 80% of the average of all chosen numbers. We propose and evaluate a Bayesian Learning Agent designed to adapt its strategy against diverse opponents. The BLA employs Bayesian inference to dynamically update its beliefs about opponent behaviors, integrating these predictions into a Keynesian Beauty Contest decision-making framework. Through extensive simulations, the BLA consistently demonstrates superior performance. For instance, in games against four random opponents, the BLA achieved a survival rate of 67.00%, significantly outperforming the random players' combined 33.00% survival rate, and consistently maintained an average absolute distance to the target of 10.59 units across rounds. Notably, against four naive Fifty players, the BLA achieved a 100.00% survival rate with an extremely low average distance of 0.08 units, concluding games in a single round. Furthermore, the study provides a specialized algorithmic analysis for the game's challenging two-player endgame, where it exhibited a 1.30% draw rate in relevant scenarios. Our findings offer novel insights into designing adaptive AI agents for complex, imperfect information games with unique convergence dynamics, extending the understanding of computational strategies in evolving competitive environments.

Abstract

This study aims to examine consumer behavior in healthcare by consolidating fragmented findings, identifying dominant themes, and providing a coherent framework for future research. Through a systematic literature review, five interconnected research streams were identified: educational and behavioral interventions, system-level healthcare delivery, psychological and behavioral drivers, technology-mediated experiences, and demographic and social determinants. Based on this synthesis, four strategic directions are proposed for future research: patient-centered segmentation and behavioral profiling to tailor nursing services, experiential factors influencing patient satisfaction and loyalty; ethical and cultural dimensions of consumer expectations, especially in multicultural and aging populations, and consumer feedback and engagement in co-designing nursing services. These insights offer a roadmap for developing inclusive, responsive, and emotionally intelligent healthcare systems. The study contributes to the literature by integrating diverse perspectives into a unified structure, enabling researchers and practitioners to better understand and respond to evolving consumer needs in healthcare. Implications include the need for personalized care models, culturally sensitive frameworks, and investment in digital health tools.

Abstract

The high rate of youth unemployment in Indonesia is one of the major issues that the country is facing and requires serious attention from the government. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that influence youth unemployment in Indonesia during the period from 2020 to 2021 across 34 provinces. A panel data regression using the Random Effects approach was employed as the analytical method. This study aims to analyze the impact of work experience, place of residence, and marital status on youth unemployment. The findings indicate that, collectively, work experience, place of residence, and marital status have a significant effect on the youth unemployment rate. However, when examined individually, only work experience and place of residence are found to have a significant influence on youth unemployment. Work experience has a negative and significant impact, indicating that individuals with prior work experience are less likely to be unemployed. In contrast, place of residence has a positive and significant effect, suggesting that certain living environments may increase the likelihood of unemployment among youth. Meanwhile, marital status does not have a statistically significant influence on youth unemployment in the 34 provinces of Indonesia during the 2020–2021 period.

Abstract

The phenomenon of high turnover intention in generation Z is a serious concern for many companies including in the property industry which has a fast work rhythm and high pressure. Generation Z is known to have unique characteristics in working such as valuing work flexibility, work-life balance, having high expectations of the work environment and changing jobs more quickly. Factors that are thought to influence this tendency include flexible working arrangements, workload and job satisfaction. This study aims to analyze how these three variables influence turnover intention in generation Z employees at a property developer company in Bandung. This study uses an associative quantitative approach with a non-probability sampling technique, namely purposive sampling with a judgment sampling approach where 165 people were used as research samples. This study was analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares method. The results of the study indicate that flexible working arrangements have a significant negative effect on turnover intention, workload has a significant positive effect on turnover intention and job satisfaction has a significant negative effect. This study contributes to the development of management practices, especially strategies to retain generation Z employees in the dynamic property industry.

Abstract

This study assesses the implementation maturity of a Business Intelligence system within a government organization in the Indonesian financial sector. The primary objectives are to evaluate the current maturity level and to formulate evidence-based recommendations for enhancement. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, utilizing the Business Intelligence Maturity Model as the analytical framework. Data was gathered from organizational documents, direct observation, a questionnaire survey of 13 system users, and in-depth interviews with four key stakeholders. The results indicate an overall BI maturity at Level 3: Information Integration. Despite this, five sub-dimensions scored poorly: Technical Data Management, Analysis Functionality in Applications, Reporting Capability in Applications, System Availability, and Profitability Calculation, signifying suboptimal implementation in these areas. The study concludes that the BI implementation is only partially successful and has not reached its intended potential. To advance to a higher maturity level, the organization must address the identified weaknesses, particularly in data management, application functionality, and system governance. This study offers practical guidance for organizational improvement and enriches limited academic literature on BI maturity in developing-country public financial institutions.

Abstract

Knowledge sharing serves as a fundamental driver of organizational innovation, particularly in enhancing public service quality, yet remains significantly underutilized in government institutions. Many public sector organizations fail to recognize the value of knowledge sharing due to its perceived long-term benefits and the absence of concrete evidence demonstrating its measurable impact on service innovation performance. This study examines the driving factors of knowledge sharing and its impact on service innovation performance in government organizations. Data was collected through an online survey targeted at National Civil Service Agency (Badan Kepegawaian Negara or BKN) employees. A total of 465 responses were obtained, which analysed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). This study demonstrates that organizational, individual, and technological factors play a significant role in the implementation of knowledge sharing. Most importantly, the research provides empirical validation that knowledge sharing behavior directly and substantially enhance service innovation performance - a relationship previously overlooked in public sector studies. By expanding the theoretical framework of Planned Behavior to incorporate these organizational, individual, and technological dimensions, this study offers public administrators compelling evidence to prioritize knowledge sharing initiatives while providing scholars with a more holistic understanding of innovation mechanisms in government contexts. Future studies should explore additional factors beyond the Theory of Planned Behavior that influence knowledge sharing, as well as other knowledge management dimensions affecting service innovation. Further research could also investigate impacts of knowledge sharing beyond innovation performance, such as organizational resilience or employee well-being in public sector contexts.

Abstract

The high divorce rate in West Java Province underscores the need for an in-depth examination of environmental factors influencing individuals’ decisions to divorce. This study aims to analyze the impact of social environments with high divorce rates on individual divorce decisions, while accounting for control variables such as working hours, education level, and age at marriage. Using data from the 2022 National Socio-Economic Survey and a binary logistic regression approach, the study finds that individuals living in areas with high divorce rates are 1.645 times more likely to get divorced p < 0.001. Early marriage also shows a significant effect OR = 1.098; p < 0.05. In contrast, working hours and education are not statistically significant. These findings highlight the urgency of community-based interventions and social policies that are sensitive to local norms.

Abstract

In 2022, income inequality in Indonesia continued to show significant regional disparities, with Eastern Indonesia recording a Gini ratio of 0.346, higher than that of Western Indonesia at 0.345. This difference indicates that income distribution in the eastern region remains more uneven compared to the western region, highlighting the need for special attention to the underlying factors of inequality in both regions. Income inequality remains a major issue that hinders inclusive and sustainable development, particularly amid economic and social disparities between regions. This study aims to analyze the effects of financial inclusion, economic growth, education, and unemployment on income inequality in Western and Eastern Indonesia during the period 2008–2022. A quantitative approach is employed using the Random Effect Model panel data regression, with data processing conducted using STATA software. The results of the Random Effect Model regression show that in Western Indonesia, financial inclusion and economic growth have a positive and significant effect on income inequality, while education has a negative and significant effect, and unemployment does not have a significant impact. In Eastern Indonesia, education and unemployment have a negative and significant effect on income inequality, financial inclusion has a positive and significant effect, while economic growth does not affect income inequality in the region.
