Abstract

This study analyzes wage differentials between vocational high school graduates in Indonesia who work in jobs aligned with their field of training and those who work outside their field, using data from the 2024 National Labor Force Survey. The analytical methods include the Heckman two-step selection model to correct for labor force participation bias, separate OLS regressions for each group, and the Blinder-Oaxaca decomposition to identify the sources of wage disparities. The results show that horizontal mismatch has significant implications for wage structures. Although the average wage difference between matched and mismatched groups is not statistically significant, the decomposition analysis reveals that most of the wage gap arises from differences in observable characteristics, along with a significant influence of unobserved factors (unexplained). These findings suggest that vocational mismatch affects not only labor market efficiency but also wage distribution, which should be taken into account in vocational education and employment policy design.

Abstract

As sustainability becomes a central concern in consumer decision-making and corporate responsibility, green marketing has emerged as a strategic approach for brands seeking to achieve market differentiation and long-term loyalty. This study explores how brands utilize green marketing to stand out through sustainability by employing a qualitative research design involving in-depth interviews with marketing and sustainability professionals across multiple industries. Thematic analysis revealed five critical dimensions: authenticity of green claims, integration of sustainability into brand values, consumer trust and skepticism, strategic differentiation, and implementation barriers. Findings suggest that authentic and transparent sustainability efforts enhance brand credibility and competitive positioning, while internal resistance, financial constraints, and the risk of greenwashing limit the impact of green initiatives. The research contributes to the understanding of how sustainability-oriented branding can be both a moral commitment and a strategic advantage in increasingly eco-conscious markets, offering practical insights for marketers and corporate leaders seeking to build resilient and ethically grounded brand identities.

Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive literature review on the evolving role of sustainable finance and ethical investment as a transformative force in global capital markets. It explores the theoretical foundations that underpin ethical investing, including stakeholder theory, institutional theory, legitimacy theory, and behavioral finance. The review identifies key drivers of ethical investment, such as regulatory developments, institutional investor demand, technological innovation, and changing demographic preferences. Empirical findings indicate that sustainable investment strategies often yield comparable or superior financial performance while enhancing portfolio resilience. However, persistent implementation challenges-including inconsistent ESG metrics, greenwashing, and measurement limitations-undermine the credibility and effectiveness of ethical finance. The study highlights the need for greater standardization, reliable data, and regulatory coherence to support the sustainable integration of ESG principles into financial systems. Future research directions are proposed to deepen the understanding of ESG impact, investor behavior, and technological applications in responsible investing.

Abstract

Companies listed on the IDX in the infrastructure, utilities, and transportation subsector between 2018 and 2023 will be the focus of this study, which seeks to assess the impact of capital structure and profitability on firm value. This study uses a causal-comparative design and quantitative methodology to provide an explanation. Companies listed on the IDX in the infrastructure, utilities, and transportation subsector are the population in this study. Purposive sampling was used to select 27 companies that met certain criteria for the research sample. Annual financial reports served as a secondary data source. Using SPSS version 26, we conducted multiple linear regression analysis on the collected data. The significance threshold (α) used for hypothesis testing was 5% or 0.05. Firm value, as assessed by PBV, is positively and significantly affected by capital structure, as indicated by DER. A firm's value is positively and significantly affected by its profitability, as indicated by ROA. That is why investors value companies with a healthy financial structure and strong profitability more. Based on the findings of this study, organizations can increase their value and attractiveness to investors by optimizing capital structure and increasing profitability.

Abstract

Massive digital transformation requires PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk to undertake structural reorganization and diversification of services, especially into the digital sector. While these strategies are necessary to maintain competitiveness, these changes have the consequence of increasing exposure to financial risks, such as liquidity, credit and market risks. This study aims to analyze Telkom's financial risk profile over the 2021-2024 period and assess the effectiveness of the mitigation strategies implemented. Using a descriptive qualitative approach based on literature study and financial statement analysis, this research highlights significant fluctuations in profitability indicators such as EPS and EBIT. Degree of Financial Leverage values that vary between 0.92 to 1.50 reflect the high sensitivity of performance to changes in operating profit, while liquidity ratios such as current ratio and cash ratio show a downward trend in the last three years. Telkom's capital structure also shows moderate dependence on debt, as reflected in the DER and DAR ratios. The results show that although Telkom is on the path of digital transformation, the company still faces challenges in maintaining short-term financial stability and long-term solvency. Therefore, strengthening risk management and operational cost efficiency are key to the sustainability of the business strategy going forward.

Abstract

Dirja Park Karawang is a new tourist attraction in Karawang that is starting to grow rapidly. One of the important factors in the development of this tourist spot is how the manager sets ticket prices and provides adequate facilities. Therefore, this research aims to study how ticket prices and facilities affect tourist loyalty partially and simultaneously. This quantitative study involved a survey of 100 respondents who have visited Dirja Park at least twice. The findings of this study indicate that ticket prices and facilities partially and significantly influence tourist loyalty. Data was collected through a closed questionnaire arranged on a Likert scale, then analyzed through multiple linear regression method using SPSS software. Facilities proved to have a more dominant influence than ticket prices in shaping loyalty. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.73 indicates that 73% of the change or variation in tourist loyalty can be explained by the two variables studied. The results show that to increase visitor loyalty, managing quality facilities and the right pricing strategy is very important. It is hoped that this research will help local destination managers improve competitiveness and sustainable tourism experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of external shocks, namely world oil prices and global interest rates,on Indonesia’s macroeconomic variables, such as domestic output, inflation, and the real effective exchange rate. Additionally, it examines the effectiveness of Bank Indonesia’s monetary policy through the implementation of the domestic interest rate using the Structural Vector Autoregression method. The data used are monthly secondary time-series data, comprising external shock variables world oil prices and global interest rates and domestic variables output, price levels, interest rates, money supply, and real effective exchange rate spanning from January 2008 to December 2022. This research is motivated by the impact of WOP and FFR shocks during the global financial crisis and the Covid-19 pandemic. The Impulse Response Function results indicate that domestic output, price levels, and the real effective exchange rate respond negatively to WOP shocks and FFR reductions. Furthermore, domestic output and the real effective exchange rate exhibit a negative response to the domestic interest rate, while the price level generally responds positively. The Forecast Error Variance Decomposition results show that, in addition to the significant contributions of world oil price and global interest rate shocks, the variables output, price levels, interest rates, money supply, and real effective exchange rate also have substantial contributions to themselves and to changes in other macroeconomic variables.

Abstract

Women's participation in the workforce is crucial for driving economic growth. Empowering women economically is key to combating poverty by providing access to and control over resources needed to earn a sustainable and long-term livelihood. The data used in this research is sourced from the 2022 National Socioeconomic Survey published by the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics. The research approach is quantitative, with data analysis employing binary logistic regression. The results of the study indicate that the factors suspected to influence the labor force participation of married women in Indonesia have a significant overall effect. The variable of household size has a significant negative effect, meaning it tends to reduce the probability of married women participating in the labor market. Conversely, the variables of education, age, status, Family Hope Program, region, credit ownership, and motorbike ownership have significant positive effects, meaning they tend to increase the probability of married women participating in the labor market.

Abstract

This study explores the relationship between unionization and psychological safety as a determinant of employee well-being, using a qualitative comparative approach. By analyzing interviews with employees from both unionized and non-unionized organizations, the research identifies key differences in how institutional structures shape perceptions of voice, protection, and trust in the workplace. Findings reveal that unionized environments promote higher levels of psychological safety through formal grievance mechanisms, consistent managerial practices, and collective representation, enabling employees to express concerns without fear of retaliation. In contrast, non-unionized settings are often characterized by ambiguity, interpersonal dependency, and limited institutional safeguards, contributing to lower psychological security. The study contributes to the theoretical expansion of psychological safety by situating it within organizational systems and suggests practical strategies for enhancing employee voice and well-being across diverse organizational contexts.
