Abstract

This study examines the influence of motivation, welfare, work spirit, and work engagement on the performance of employees at the Indonesian Aviation Academy Banyuwangi. The research addresses a gap in existing literature by integrating these four variables within the context of a high regulation, safety critical vocational education environment. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 60 civil servants through a structured questionnaire employing a five point Likert scale. The variables were measured using established indicators, and the data were analyzed through validity and reliability testing, followed by regression analysis including partial, simultaneous, and coefficient of determination tests. Results indicate that all four variables have a positive and significant impact on employee performance, with work engagement emerging as the most dominant predictor. Collectively, these variables explain 69.7% of the variance in performance. The findings underscore the need for integrated human resource management strategies that simultaneously enhance motivation, ensure adequate welfare, strengthen morale, and foster engagement to optimize performance. The study contributes theoretical insights to human resource management in vocational education and offers practical recommendations for institutional policy making. Future research is suggested to explore additional factors such as organizational culture and leadership style to further enhance performance models in aviation education.

Abstract

This study explores gastronomic tourism as an innovative strategy to enhance the attractiveness of tourist destinations. As experiential tourism gains prominence, local culinary experiences have emerged as powerful tools for cultural engagement and destination differentiation. The objective of this research is to examine how gastronomic elements such as traditional dishes, culinary storytelling, and participatory food activities influence tourists’ perceptions, emotional connections, and behavioral intentions. A qualitative method using a systematic literature review was employed, drawing on peer reviewed sources from 2020 to 2024 across disciplines including tourism, marketing, and cultural studies. The analysis identifies four key dimensions destination image, emotional engagement, policy integration, and development challenges as critical to the success of culinary tourism strategies. The findings show that gastronomy contributes not only to sensory satisfaction but also to cultural identity formation and emotional bonding, particularly when integrated with tourism policy frameworks. However, challenges such as limited local capacity and policy fragmentation persist in emerging destinations. The study concludes that strategic incorporation of gastronomy into tourism development can drive sustainability, competitiveness, and cultural preservation. Recommendations for future research include empirical validation and inclusive policy design to empower local communities through food based tourism.

Abstract

The main problem faced by PT. Surya Kapuas Perkasa is the difficulty in accurately determining the types of building materials with the highest sales levels. Currently, stock determination still relies on manual estimates based on previous sales trends, which are prone to errors and inaccuracies. As a result, the company often faces the risk of overstocking products that are less in demand, or understocking products that are actually in high demand. This condition can impact the sales process, increase storage costs, and reduce customer satisfaction. To overcome this problem, a method is needed that can predict the sales of the best-selling building materials more objectively and based on historical data. This prediction will utilize sales data from the past three years by applying data mining classification techniques using the C4.5 algorithm and K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) through the RapidMiner application. With this approach, the company can accurately identify the types of building materials that are most in demand in the market, allowing for more precise and efficient stock management. Based on the research results, four types of building materials were found to be the best-selling out of a total of 16 types analyzed: Light Steel, Brick, Iron, and Cement, with a prediction accuracy rate of 87.16%.

Abstract

HGVR Brand is a creative industry engaged in the production and distribution of ready-to-wear clothing established in 2015, which has a reseller network in several major cities in Java. This study aims to analyze the prediction of HGVR Store product sales levels using data mining methods, specifically the C4.5 and Naïve Bayes algorithms, so that it can assist the company in determining marketing strategies and inventory management. The data used in this study consists of 500 sales data collected in June 2019 through observation, interviews, and internal company documentation. The input variables used include the number of orders (PO), quantity, price, and sales status, while the target variable is the classification of sales into "high" and "low" categories. The analysis process is carried out through the stages of data cleaning, transformation, and validation using the split validation technique (70% training data and 30% testing data). The C4.5 algorithm is used to build a decision tree model, while the Naïve Bayes algorithm is used to calculate the classification probability. The test results show that the C4.5 algorithm has a 100% accuracy rate with an excellent classification category based on the ROC curve (AUC = 1.00). Meanwhile, the Naïve Bayes algorithm also produced good classification results, although its accuracy was lower than that of C4.5. The conclusion of this study is that the C4.5 algorithm is more optimal than Naïve Bayes in predicting sales levels at the HGVR Store. These findings are expected to inform decision-making for the HGVR Brand in formulating business strategies.

Abstract

This study supports the development of a web-based Quality Control (QC) dashboard designed to improve the monitoring of product sorting data in manufacturing process. The impetus comes from the fact that traditional methods of capturing data by hand are very likely to be incorrect, slow, and cause problems with managing data. Currently, sorting results are still written down on physical log sheets which often leads to delays in reporting, puts records at risk of being lost or destroyed, and makes it harder to analyze data in real time. The study uses the Agile Development method to fix these problems, with a focus on iterative design, getting input from stakeholders, and making improvements all the time. The proposed dashboard will include several basic features, such as the ability to enter sorting results digitally, interactive data visualization in both graphical and tabular formats, automatic quality control report generation, and user management through role-based access control. These features are expected to turn data into useful information, which will allow the QC team to quickly make decisions based on evidence that enhance product quality. Web programming utilizes modern web technologies such as Laravel framework for backend processing, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap to make responsive the user interface. Utilization of open-source technologies is meant to ensure that the system may grow and be maintained while keeping installation costs low.

Abstract

This study examines the mediating role of financial accounting in the relationship between ESG disclosure and firm value. The sample consists of 82 firm-year observations from non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2018 and 2023. Firm value is measured using Tobin’s Q, Price-to-Book Value, and Market-to-Book Ratio. ESG disclosure is assessed using Bloomberg/Refinitiv ESG scores and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)-based content analysis. Financial accounting is proxied by earnings quality, value relevance, timeliness, and conservatism. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software. The results show that ESG disclosure has a significant positive effect on both financial accounting and firm value. Financial accounting also has a significant positive effect on firm value and mediates the ESG–firm value relationship. The findings confirm that ESG disclosure contributes to firm valuation when accompanied by credible financial accounting practices. This study contributes to the sustainable finance literature by identifying the role of financial accounting as a mediator and provides practical insights for managers and regulators to strengthen integrated reporting practices.
