Abstract

Biotechnology is a concept in learning that contains many problems related to everyday life. The problem of biotechnology also continues to grow with the times. In every development, biotechnology certainly encounters problems that must be found to solve the problem and of course require the ability to think creatively. So, in biotechnology it is necessary to have creative problem solving abilities to find solutions to every problem. The purpose of this study was to describe the profile of students' abilities in creative problem solving on the concept of biotechnology. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Students will be categorized based on five levels of creativity, namely very creative, creative, quite creative, less creative, and not creative. This category is determined based on a hypothetical theory that has been prepared before the research is carried out. After conducting a research on the profile of students' abilities in creative problem solving on the concept of biotechnology to several students of the Biology Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Lambung Mangkurat University who had completed the introductory biotechnology course, the results obtained four levels of creativity, namely very creative, creative, moderate creative and less creative. Meanwhile, students who are not creative are not found in this study.AbstrakBioteknologi merupakan suatu konsep dalam pembelajaran yang berisi banyak permasalahan yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Permasalahan bioteknologi tersebut juga terus berkembang mengikuti perkembangan zaman. Setiap perkembangannya, bioteknologi tentu menemui permasalahan yang harus ditemukan penyelesaian masalahnya dan tentunya memerlukan kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Sehingga,  dalam bioteknologi perlu adanya kemampuan penyelesaian masalah yang bersifat kreatif untuk mencari solusi setiap permasalahan. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan profil kemampuan mahasiswa dalam penyelesaian masalah secara kreatif pada konsep bioteknologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Mahasiswa akan dikategorikan berdasarkan lima tingkatan kreativitas yaitu sangat kreatif, kreatif, cukup kreatif, kurang kreatif, dan tidak kreatif. Kategori ini ditentukan berdasarkan teori hipotetik yang telah disusun sebelum penelitian dilaksanakan. Setelah dilaksanakan penelitian profil  kemampuan mahasiswa dalam penyelesaian masalah secara kreatif pada konsep bioteknologi terhadap beberapa mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat yang telah menyelesaikan mata kuliah pengantar bioteknologi didapatkan hasil empat tingkatan kreativitas yaitu sangat kreatif, kreatif, cukup kreatif, dan kurang kreatif. Sedangkan untuk mahasiswa yang tidak kreatif tidak ditemukan dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

This research focuses on analysing the needs of learning media such as android as a learning media for primary school pupils and also as a means of preparing before learning. The purpose of this research was to determine the need for learning media in preparing for learning using Android for primary school pupil of 90 Pinrang. The method was used in this research was a qualitative method using a descriptive approach. The data collection technique used in this research was to use observation guidelines, documentation and structured interview techniques with research instruments in the form of questions to be asked to the informants. Data analysis in this research was to reduce the existing data into more specific data to be presented descriptively. The initial findings found that the need for learning media using Android as a means to prepare for learning at home is needed for teachers so that primary school pupils have a mental readiness and also initial knowledge to learn. In addition, the need for animative, informative, educative and interactive learning media using android as a learning tool in the classroom on science learning and environment material is also needed to support the learning process in the school.Abstract Penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis kebutuhan media pembelajaran berupa android sebagai media pembelajaran untuk murid sekolah dasar dan juga sebagai sarana dalam melakukan persiapan sebelum belajar. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kebutuhan media pembelajaran dalam melakukan persiapan belajar dengan menggunakan android untuk murid sekolah dasar di SDN 90 Pinrang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan pedoman observasi, dokumentasi dan teknik wawancara terstruktur dengan instrumen penelitian berupa pertanyaan yang akan diajukan kepada narasumber. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan cara mereduksi data-data yang ada ke dalam data yang lebih spesifik untuk disajikan secara deskriptif. Hasil temuan awal yang didapatkan bahwa kebutuhan media pembelajaran menggunakan android sebagai sarana untuk melakukan persiapan belajar di rumah dibutuhkan bagi guru agar murid sekolah dasar mempunyai kesiapan mental dan juga pengetahuan awal untuk belajar. Selain itu, kebetuhan media pembelajaran yang bersifat animatif, informatif, edukatif dan juga interaktif menggunakan android sebagai sarana belajar di dalam kelas pada materi IPA dan Lingkungan juga dibutuhkan untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran di sekolah.

Abstract

Learning human physiology is a study that we often encounter in everyday life related to the condition of the body, at any time it can experience problems or abnormalities that result in a decrease in the condition of human health itself. In addition, along with the development of science and technology, more and more problems are encountered in learning human physiology, so that the ability to think is needed in solving existing problems. This study aims to describe the profile of students' abilities in solving critical problems on the concept of human physiology. The study used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data collection instruments in this study included the main instrument, namely the researcher himself and the supporting instrument in the form of a written assignment to describe the profile of students who had programmed human physiology courses. Students are categorized based on a hypothetical theory which contains five levels of critical thinking skills, namely very critical, critical, moderately critical, less critical, and not critical. The results showed that the ability profile of several students of the Biology Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Lambung Mangkurat University in solving critical problems on the concept of human physiology. Consists of four levels of critical thinking skills, namely very critical, critical, moderately critical, and less critical.AbstrakPembelajaran fisiologi manusia merupakan kajian yang sering kita jumpai dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yang berhubungan dengan kondisi tubuh, sewaktu-waktu dapat mengalami permasalahan atau kelainan yang berakibat pada menurunnya kondisi kesehatan manusia itu sendiri. Selain itu, seiring dengan perkembangan IPTEK maka semakin banyak pula permasalahan yang dijumpai dalam pembelajaran fisiologi manusia, sehingga diperlukan kemampuan berpikir dalam penyelesaian masalah yang ada. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil kemampuan mahasiswa dalam penyelesaian masalah secara kritis pada konsep fisiologi manusia. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Instrumen pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini meliputi instrumen utama yaitu peneliti sendiri dan instrumen pendukung berupa tugas tertulis untuk mendeskripsikan profil mahasiswa yang telah memprogramkan mata kulah fisiologi manusia. Mahasiswa dikategorikan berdasarkan teori hipotetik yangberisi lima tingkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis, yaitu sangat kritis, kritis, cukup kritis, kurang kritis, dan tidak kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa profil kemampuan beberapa mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Lambung Mangkuratdalam penyelesaian masalah secara kritis pada konsep fisiologi manusia. Terdiri dari empat tingkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis yaitu sangat kritis, kritis, cukup kritis, dan kurang kritis.

Abstract

The ability of critical thinking is very important to have. If the students have an ability of critical thinking, they students can solve the problems that facing them on the lesson study especially biology. This study aims to determine students critical thinking skills based on the gender of high school biology subjects during the Covid-19 pandemic. The data were analyzed descriptively with a quantitative approach. The population in this study was all students of class XII science high school. The sample of this research was taken by simple random sampling by means of lottery as many as 35 students. The results showed that the average value of women’s critical thinking skills was 77 and was in the medium criteria. While the average value of male critical thinking skills is 64 and is in the low criteria. It can be concluded that the ability to think critically based on gender is higher for female students than male students. From the test result show the value of sig. (2-tailed) obtained t count of 2.118 sig at 0.042 which means that there is a significant difference in critical thinking ability of male and female students.Abstract Kemampuan berpikir kritis sangat penting dimiliki. Jika siswa sudah memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis, siswa dapat memecahkan persoalan-persoalan yang dihadapi dalam pelajaran terutama dalam pelajaran Biologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa berdasarkan gender mata pelajaran biologi SMApada masa pandemi covid 19. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XII IPA SMA. Sampel penelitian ini diambil secara simple random sampling dengan cara undian sebanyak 35 siswa.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai kemampuan berpikir kritis perempuan 77 dan berada pada kriteria sedang. Sementara rata-rata nilai kemampuan berpikir kritis laki-laki 64 dan berada pada kriteria rendah. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis berdasarkan gender lebih tinggi siswa perempuan daripada siswa laki-laki. Dari hasil pengujian menunjukkan nilai sig. (2-tailed) diperoleh t hitung sebesar 2,118 sig pada 0,042 yang artinya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada siswa laki-laki dan perempuan.

Abstract

21st-century education demands the critical thinking skills of students. Education is also required to create a generation that is skilled at using technology. Electronic Student Worksheets (LKPD) is innovative learning tools to make it easier for students in the learning process. This study aims to describe the practicality and effectiveness of electronic LKPD expectations on the concept of Biodiversity. The research method used Tessmer's Formative Evaluation design, through stages 1) expert review; 2) one-to-one evaluation; and 3) small group evaluation. The validator was 3 experts, the individual test subjects were 3 high school class X students and the small group test subjects were 4 high school class X students. Data obtained from the research instrument in the form of an assessmet sheet of practicality and effectiveness of expectations. The results of the research on the practicality of expectations have a very good category based on the responses of students and the effectiveness of expectations has a very good category (including interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, and explanation skills) and a good category (including self-regulation skills) based on the assessment of students' critical thinking skills.AbstrakPendidikan abad ke-21 menuntut keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Pendidikan juga dituntut menciptakan generasi yang terampil menggunakan teknologi. Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik elektronik merupakan inovasi perangkat pembelajaran untuk mempermudah peserta didik dalam proses belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kepraktisan dan keefektifan harapan LKPD elektronik pada konsep Keanekaragaman Hayati. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain Evaluasi Formatif Tessmer, melalui tahapan 1) expert review; 2) one-to-one evaluation; dan 3) small group evaluation. Validator adalah 3 orang ahli, subjek uji perorangan adalah 3 orang peserta didik kelas X SMA dan subjek uji kelompok kecil adalah 4 orang peserta didik kelas X SMA. Data diperoleh dari instrumen penelitian berupa lembar penilaian kepraktisan dan keefektifan harapan. Hasil penelitian kepraktisan harapan memiliki kategori sangat baik berdasarkan respon peserta didik dan keefektifan harapan memiliki kategori sangat baik (meliputi keterampilan interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi, inferensi, dan eksplanasi) dan kategori baik (meliputi keterampilan pengaturan diri) berdasarkan penilaian keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik.

Abstract

Teaching materials are needed to assist in the learning process. One of the teaching materials that can be used is in the form of popular scientific books. Popular scientific books developed must be based on local potential to support learning the concept of diversity in animal ecology courses. So the purpose of this development research is to get the results of the practicality of the contents and expectations of the prototype of a popular scientific book with the title "Diversity of Fish Species in Puting River Waters". The BIP development method uses a development research design model from Tessmer which focuses on formative evaluation. The results of the research on the content practicality test obtained an overall percentage average value of 91.67% with very good criteria, while the results of the expected and actual practicality test were seen from the results of the implementation of popular scientific books which obtained an average of 82.41% with very good criteria, and the results of student responses to popular scientific books obtained an average of 91.97% with the criteria of strongly agreeing. This proves that a popular scientific book with the title "Diversity of Fish Species in Puting River Waters" is very practical to use to explore students' critical thinking skills in learning Animal Ecology.AbstrakBahan ajar diperlukan untuk membantu dalam proses pembelajaran. Salah satu bahan ajar yang dapat digunakan yaitu berbentuk buku ilmiah populer. Buku ilmiah populer yang dikembangkan harus berbasis potensi lokal untuk menunjang pembelajaran konsep keanekaragaman pada mata kuliah ekologi hewan. Maka tujuan penelitian pengembangan ini adalah untuk mendapatkan hasil kepraktisan isi dan harapan prototipe buku ilmiah populer dengan judul “Keanekaragaman Jenis Ikan di Perairan Sungai Puting”. Metode pengembangan BIP menggunakan model desain penelitian pengembangan dari Tessmer yang berfokus pada evaluasi formatif. Hasil penelitian pada uji kepraktisan isi memperoleh nilai rata-rata persentase  keseluruhan sebesar 91,67% dengan kriteria sangat baik, sedangkan  hasil uji kepraktisan harapan dan aktual dilihat dari hasil uji keterlaksanaan buku ilmiah populer yang memperoleh rata-rata 82,41% dengan kriteria sangat baik dan hasil respon mahasiswa terhadap buku ilmiah populer memperoleh rata-rata 91,97% dengan kriteria sangat setuju. Hal tersebut membuktikan bahwa buku ilmiah populer dengan judul “Keanekaragaman Jenis Ikan di Perairan Sungai Puting” sangat praktis digunakan untuk menggali keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran Ekologi Hewan.

Abstract

The development research was carried out using the 4D development model adapted from Thiagarajan. This research and development aims to create and develop learning media that can support the learning process. The website-based learning media for the Protista concept for tenth grade Biology High School is carried out because of the importance of technology-based media innovation in 21st-century learning. The learning media developed is a website using google site equipped with a combination of text, images, animation, audio, video, and a simply designed navigation bar. The research and development of this website-based learning media uses a 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate), but this research is focused on the responses of students in using the google sites learning media. The results of student responses to the learning media website "DIEYA PROTISTA'' are classified as very good with an average response score of 4.50. This response shows that the learning media that was developed theoretically and procedurally has been suitable for use in teaching Protists in tenth grade. AbstrakPenelitian pengembangan yang dilakukan menggunakan model pengembangan 4D yang diadaptasi dari Thiagarajan. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk membuat dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang dapat mendukung proses pembelajaran. Media pembelajaran berbasis website pada konsep Protista untuk SMA Kelas X Biologi ini dilakukan karena pentingnya inovasi media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi di pembelajaran abad 21. Media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan ialah google sites dilengkapi dengan penggabungan teks, gambar, animasi, audio, video dan menu navigasi yang didesain sederhana. Penelitian dan pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis website ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate), namun penelitian ini difokuskan pada respon peserta didik dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran google sites. Hasil respon peserta didik terhadap media pembelajaran website “DIEYA PROTISTA” tergolong sangat baik dengan rerata skor respon 4,50. Respon ini menunjukkan media pembelajaran yang dikembangakan secara teoritis dan prosedural telah layak digunakan pada pembelajaran Protista di kelas X.

Abstract

The development of a popular scientific book that is developed based on the local potential of a region is one solution that can be used to overcome problems that often arise such as a lack of student reading interest due to boring teaching materials and learning medifications in the Low Plant Botany course, especially in several studies of shrub diversity that require students to make direct observations. This development research aims to describe the practicality of the popular scientific book prototype entitled "Diversity of the Mangrove Shrubs in Tabanio Village." The research method used was the development model by EDR which was limited to the formative evaluation phase based on the Tessmer model. The results showed that the results of the feasibility test for popular scientific books got an average score of 88.9% with very good criteria and the results of student responses to popular scientific books got an average of 89.18% with criterion strongly agree. This shows that a popular scientific book entitled "Diversity of Mangrove Shrubs in Tabanio Village" is very practical to be used as an enrichment material in learning Low Plant Botany.AbstrakPengembangan sebuah buku ilmiah populer yang dikembangkan berdasarkan potensi lokal yang dimiliki sebuah daerah merupakan salah satu solusi yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah-masalah yang sering muncul seperti kurangnya minat membaca mahasiswa karena bahan ajar dan medifikasi pembelajaran yang membosankan pada mata kuliah Botani Tumbuhan Tinggi khususnya pada beberapa kajian keanekaragaman semak yang mengharuskan mahasiswa untuk melakukan pengamatan langsung. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kepraktisan prototipe buku ilmiah populer yang berjudul “Keanekaragaman Semak Mangrove Desa Tabanio” Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah model pengembangan Education Design Reserch (EDR) yang dibatasi sampai pada fase evaluasi formatif berdasarkan model Tessmer. Hasil penelitian menunjukan hasil uji keterlaksanaan buku ilmiah populer mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 88,9% dengan kriteria sangat baik dan hasil respond mahasiswa terhadap buku ilmiah populer mendapatkan rata-rata 89,18% dengan kriteris sangat setuju. Hal tersebut menunjukan bahwa buku ilmiah populer dengan judul “Keanekaragaman Semak Mangrove Desa Tabanio” sangat praktis digunakan sebagai bahan pengayaan dalam pembelajaran Botani Tumbuhan Tinggi.

Abstract

The development of the 21st century is marked by the development of technology and information, one example is the use of electronic Student Worksheets, which usually use paper worksheets, now we can find on the internet. Electronic Student Worksheets has become one of the essential learning technologies, especially during the current COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to describe the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of electronic LKPD expectations on the concept of Animalia. Students are expected to be able to improve critical thinking skills through the implementation of electronic LKPD in the learning process. The results of research on the development of electronic LKPD are include in the valid category with a score of 3.78, the practicality of expectations is included in the very good category with a percentage score of 95.54%, and the effectiveness of expectations is included in the very good category on critical thinking skills of interpretation, evaluation, explanation, and self-regulation, while aspects of analysis and inference have increased to very good.AbstrakPerkembangan abad ke-21 ditandai dengan berkembangnya teknologi dan informasi, salah satu contohnya adalah penggunaan LKPD elektronik, yang biasanya LKPD menggunakan kertas sekarang dapat kita jumpai di internet. LKPD elektronik menjadi salah satu teknologi pembelajaran yang esensial, terlebih saat kondisi pandemi Covid-19 saat ini. Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan validitas, kepraktisan harapan, dan keefektifan LKPD elektronik konsep Animalia. Peserta didik diharapkan mampu untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis melalui implementasi LKPD elektronik dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode penelitian memakai desain Tessmer, terdiri atas: 1) self-evaluation; 2) expert review; 3) one-to-one evaluation; 4) small group evaluation. Data diperoleh dari instrumen penelitian berupa lembar penilaian validitas dan kepraktisan harapan LKPD elektronik. Hasil penelitian pengembangan LKPD elektronik termasuk dalam kategori valid dengan skor 3,78, kepraktisan harapan termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik dengan skor persentase 95,54%, serta keefektifan harapan termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik pada keterampilan berpikir kritis interpretasi, evaluasi, eksplanasi, dan pengaturan diri, sedangkan aspek analisis dan inferensi mengalami peningkatan menjadi sangat baik.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are very important to deal with problems in the life of the 21st era. Students' critical thinking skills are honed to help solve a problem that will affect student achievement. The low critical thinking skills of students in solving and analyzing a problem shows that students have not been trained in critical thinking so that learning innovations are needed, one of which is the LKPD student activity sheet in electronic form. The purpose of this study was to describe the practicality of e-LKPD environmental pollution materials developed to train critical thinking skills. The type of research used is formative test based on the Tessmer model. The results showed that the implementation of the E-LKPD got a score of 90.4 with very good criteria and the results of student responses got a score of 98.0 with the criteria of strongly agreeing. This shows that the developed E-LKPD is practical to practice critical thinking skills.Abstrak Keterampilan berpikir kritis sangat penting untuk menghadapi permasalahan dalam kehidupan era ke 21. Keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang terasah dapat membantu dalam memecahkan suatu permasalahan yang akan berpengaruh terhadap prestasi peserta didik. Rendahnya keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan dan menganalisis suatu permasalahan menunjukkan peserta didik belum terlatih dalam berpikir kritis sehingga diperlukan inovasi pembelajaran salah satunya dengan lembar kegiatan peserta didik LKPD dalam bentuk elektronik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kepraktisan E-LKPD materi pencemaran lingkungan yang dikembangkan untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan ialah uji formatif berdasarkan model Tessmer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil respon peserta didik mendapatkan nilai 98,0 dengan kriteria sangat setuju dan keterlaksanaan E-LKPD mendapatkan nilai sebesar 90,4 dengan kriteria sangat baik. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa E-LKPD yang dikembangkan praktis untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis.
