Abstract

The number of implants contraceptives’s acceptors according to the national level, East Java, and in Pacitan is still quite low. At the Tanjungsari Public Health Center, Pacitan, the achievement of the acceptor’s implant contraceptives is also still less than the target. The reasons acceptors don’t choose birth control implants are because they are various, including fear of pain in the installation, not wanting a small surgical method, feeling ineffective because they have to be removed by health workers and others. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between the level of acceptor knowledge about implant contraceptives and the use of implants contraceptives at the Tanjungsari Health Center, Pacitan. In this study the design used was descriptive analytical research with a cross sectional research design. Sampling technique using purposive sampling. The samples in the study were 86 acceptors of hormonal contraceptives who visited the Tanjungsari Public Health Center during January-October 2022. Data analysis using chi-square test analysis using the SPSS program obtained test result values = 0.157 or p values > of 0.05 so that Ho was accepted and Ha was rejected, meaning that there was no relationship between the hormonal acceptor's level of knowledge about implant contraceptives and the use of implants contraceptives at the Tanjungsari Health Center, Pacitan. There is no relationship between the hormonal acceptor's level of knowledge about implant contraception and the use of implants contraceptives at the Tanjungsari Health Center, Pacitan in 2022

Abstract

Hemoglobin level is a measure to find out whether a person has anemia or not. According to Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) (2021) 48.9% of pregnant women in East Java Province experience anemia with an average prevalence of anemia still below the national target of 28%. Low Hb in pregnant women can cause miscarriage, bleeding, birth defects and others. Red bean is one of the foods that contain minerals that are useful in increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women.  The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of red beans on increasing HB levels of pregnant women at the Bubakan Pacitan Health Center. The esearch method used is quantitative using the One Group Pretest-Postest Design. The subjects of this study were pregnant women in the first to third trimesters and met the criteria. The sample using Nonprobability Sampling obtained 32 respondents. Data analysis used univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with the Paired Sampel T-Test. The results of this research indicate that is a difference before and after consuming red beans on the increase in hemoglobin levels of pregnant women based on the results of the Paired sampel t-test, a significant probability value of 0.000 is obtained where the probability (Asymp.sig <0.05) means the hypothesis is accepted.  There is a difference before and after consuming red beans on the increase in hemoglobin levels of pregnant women at the Bubakan Pacitan Health Center.

Abstract

During the postpartum period, physiological changes occur in the body, one of which is the reproductive system, namely the process of uterine involution. The process of this change can sometimes cause complications, which will cause bleeding and death of the mother. One of the efforts to prevent post partum bleeding is by stimulating the process of uterine involution, one of which is endorphin massage. Endhorpine massage is a light touch on the neck, arms and hands that can stimulate the secretion of endorphins to provide a relaxing and comfortable effect on the body through the skin surface and stimulate the release of the hormone oxytocin which can stimulate uterine contractions, thereby accelerating the process of uterine involution. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Endhorpine Massage on the Process of Uterine Involution in Postpartum Mothers.  The sampling technique of this research is purposive sampling. The independent variable in this study was endhorpine massage and the dependent variable was the process of uterine involution. Data were collected using an observation sheet for the height of the uterine fundus, and SOP for endhorpin massage for endhorpin massage and data analysis was carried out in stages including univariate and bivariate (Wilcoxon). BMidwifes can provide counseling and training on endorphins massage to speed up the process of uterine involution.

Abstract

Nutritional problems in toddlers usually occur because toddlers experience appetite disorders, disorders of the digestive organs, and inadequate nutritional intake in quantity and quality. The most influential factor comes from the mother, namely behavior in fulfilling nutrition, which includes knowledge, actions, and attitudes in choosing nutritional intake so that it can affect the nutritional condition of toddlers. The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences in the behavior between mothers with malnourished toddlers and mothers with well-nourished toddlers in fulfilling nutrition for toddlers aged 24-47 months. This study used analytical observational design with cross sectional approach. The number of respondents is 33 mothers with malnourished toddlers and 33 mothers with well- nourished toddlers. The results of the Mann Withney U test showed that p-value was less than α in knowledge (P- value = 0.000), attitudes (P-value = 0.004), actions (P-value = 0.000), and behavior (P-value = 0.000). Based on these results, it can be concluded that there are differences in behavior (knowledge, attitudes, and actions) between mothers with malnourished toddlers and mothers with well-nourished toddlers in fulfilling nutrition for toddlers aged 24-47 months.

Abstract

Preterm labor is labor that occurs when the gestational age is less than 37 weeks so that it can result in respiratory distress syndrome. One of the signs and symptoms is a decrease in oxygen saturation. If the oxygen saturation is low, it can cause reduced tissue oxygen. One way to increase oxygen saturation in premature babies is the prone position. This Literature Review discusses the increase in oxygen saturation in premature infants who are given the prone position. This research uses a literature review study with a search strategy using the PICOS framework in the pubMed, researchgate, garuda, and google scholar databases in the 2018-2023 timeframe. The results of the ten articles analyzed were the duration of the pronation position between 1-3 hours with monitoring of oxygen saturation in the first and second 10 to 60 minutes. There is an effect of the prone position on increasing oxygen saturation in premature infants with a significance value of p<0.05. The average oxygen saturation of premature babies after being given a prone position has increased by 94% -99%. There is an increase in oxygen saturation in premature infants after the prone position is performed.
