Tidak ada lagi jarak antara praktik seni dan teknologi, terutama dengan masyarakat. Pemisaha antara disiplin sain dan teknologi dengan sosial, humaniora, dan seni tidak lagi populer saat ini. Praktek seni sudah seharusnya melebur dan kehadirannya mewarnai teknologi dan masyarakat . seni tidak lagi terbatas menjadi menara gading yang berlindung di balik kredo seni untuk seni. Kehadiran seni semakin diperlukan dalam dunia yang kian berlari menuju kecanggihan teknologi. Seni telah membuktika hal tersebut dengan munculnya disiplin-disiplin baru dalam ilmu pengetahuan seperti disiplin desain, kajian budaya dan sebagainya. Dengan demikian terjadilah dialog antar disiplin yang memungkinkan seni memberi manfaat lebih bagi peradaban. Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Institut Seni Indonesia Surakarta konsisten mewadahi praktik seni dalam penelitain dan pengabdian masyarakat dengan perspektif yang lebih holistik. Seni dikembangkan tidak terpisah dengan masyarakat dengan segala dinamikanya.

Abstract

Furniture is an important tool used as a supporter for the smooth activities of teaching and learning in schools. Furniture that does not meet the rules of accessibility and ergonomics can cause the activities of its users to be disturbed. Research Beginner Lecturers aims to determine the accessibility and ergonomics of furniture in early childhood / kindergarten Al Abidin in Surakarta. Research is used to find out whether students have difficulty or ease when using the furniture. Ergonomic measurement is important to see if the object is suitable dimensinya with the needs required by the user, especially for students PAUD Al Abidin Surakarta. The object of research is the furniture contained in PAUD Al Abidin Surakarta. The method used in descriptive with qualitative approach supported by quantitative data (numeric), or can also be called double research strategy that is use of various method in solving a research problem. Quantitafif here uses numerical data which is the result of field measurement, then compared with referenced references, resource persons and analyzed based on researcher interpretation. The results of this novice lecturer’s research is accessibility data and implementation of ergonomics science that can be used as input to the manager PAUD Al Abidin IN Surakarta. The results of this novice lecturer’s study is also expected to provide the content of Egonomi, Interior Design and Furniture on Interior Design Study Program ISI Surakarta.

Abstract

Ide dan gagasan penciptaan Karya tari Bedaya sangga Buwana terinspirasi oleh keberadaan bentuk tari bedaya yang tumbuh dan berkembang yang adhiluhung, Bedaya Sangga Buwana merupakan karya baru yang ditarikan oleh 10 penari putri, menggunakan gerak tradisi gaya Surakarta dengan pengembangan memadukan gaya tari yang lain, sehingga menjadi bentuk baru, namun tidak meninggalkan esensinya. Diharapkan karya tari Karya tari Bedhaya “Sangga Buwana” yang ditarikan 10 penari putri dengan tema ‘rasa syukur atas kebesaran kekuasaan Sang Qaliq. Nama sangga Buwana diambil dari salah satu bangunan berbentuk menara yang konon sebagai ruang ‘meditasi’ bagi sang raja berkomunikasi dengan Kanjeng Ratu Kidul (penguasa pantai Selatan). Secara harafiah Sangga berarti topang dan Buwana berarti alam semesta, Sangga Buwana dapat diartikan menjaga kelestarian semesta alam atau “Memayu Hayuning Bawana”. Dalam keyakinan Jawa berarti Manunggaling Kawula Gusti, hal tersebut peneliti menjadi sumber inspirasi latar belakang penciptaan karya tari “Bedaya sangga Buwana”.Garap gerak menggunakan elemen pengembangan gerak tari tradisi gaya Surakarta. Karya tari Bedaya Sangga Buwana mampu memberikan apresiasi bagi masyarakat luas, dan merupkan revitalisasi genre bedhaya gaya Surakarta. Potensi Inovasi: Karya Tari Bedaya Sangga Buwana merupakan hasil pengembangan dari tari bedaya yang sudah ada, diantaranya pengembangan dalam garap pola lantai, rias dan busana, garap tembang yang yang dilakukan oleh penari (tunggal maupun kelompok) yang tidak lazim pada tari bedhaya, serta pengembangan pola struktur iringan atau music tarinya. Sehingga tari Bedaya sangga Buwana diharapkan memiliki nilai vareasi lebih dibandingkan dengan model sajian tari bedaya yang konvensional. Nilai Lokal: Tari Bedaya Sangga Buwana merupakan sebuah repertoar tari putri tradisi gaya Surakarta, Mangkunegaran, Kasultanan dan Pakualaman Yogyakarta bahkan Kasultanan Cirebon yang mengangkat esensi nilai budaya lokal. Nilai budaya tersebut mencerminkan kekhasan dari local jenius, dengan masih menggunakan vokabuler tradisi. Dengan demikian jelas bahwa karya tari Bedaya Sangga Buwana sangat kental dengan esensi budaya lokal, seiring dengan konsep tradisi yang berkembang sesuai dengan tuntutan jamannya.

Abstract

Community service activities aim to develop the ability of craftsmen in improving the quality and quantity of products. improving the competitiveness of partners in facing the global market. The intended development includes; design, HRM, tools, management, strategy and marketing materials. Partners of this devotion activity is Haryono Wood Craft in Serenan, Kalten and Luphy craft located in Pedan Klaten, Central Java Province. The prospect of product development of wood-based wasted fabrics is very good and in demand by consumers widely. The limited ability of human resources, business networks, and the limited equipment and dependence of the finishing process on the weather cause the partners are less able to take advantage of opportunities to develop this business with the maximum. After accompaniment, the partners are expected to be able to become more powerful craftsmen, so as to increase the production, design quality, to increase the selling value of the product, so as to increase the family’s income, then more to absorb the labor that comes from the surrounding community. Community service activities are carried out during the period of one year. The planned activities are; workshop on the use of production tools with appropriate technology, management training, marketing-making workshop, and product development design workshops that are in demand by the market. After getting a good touch of design, proper management, modernization of production tools, attractive promotional media is expected to increase the competitiveness of partners in the face of the market.

Abstract

Dance training activity is the elaboration of Tri Dharma of university, The third item of Community Services is the duty and obligation of every faculty. Indonesian Arts Institute (ISI) in Surakarta, in this case the lecturer of Dance Courses felt called to devote themselves to the public.The program is expected to be conducted on an ongoing basis, as a means to increase the presence of traditional arts.Beside that, the strategic context also means the teacher can publish the Indonesian Arts Institute (ISI) in Surakarta. Finally from the activities capable of affecting more significant input from both quality and quantity. The form of activities to be carried out is more focused on the training of Gejog Lesung, which was collaborated with Gejog Lesung, dance and theater movement for Gejog Lesung Sanggar Sanggir Art Group at Ancient Site, Sangiran of Sragen Regency. The material and the result of the dance training are the various wasps of Gejog Lesung, the variety of dance movements and the dialogue in the theater. From the training result, it is a repertoire of serving that is intended for tourism packaging at Ancient Site, Sangiran of Sragen Regency. The training methods used in the Gejog Lesung training process include: Dialogical method, Group Investigation, Drill and Creative Forms method.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian Dosen Pemula ini yaitu: Mengidentifikasi dan memetakan dampak kebijakan DPP Pemkot Surakarta pada revitalisasi Pasar Pucang Sawit menjadi Cangwit Creative Space terhadap pola zonasi ruang dan tata display produk serta pengelolaannya terhadap aktivitas komunitas kreatif serta membuat alternatif desain pola zonasi Cangwit Creative Space dengan aktivitas pasar di lantai satu sebagai satu kesatuan ruang publik kota yang berkonsep pasar kreatif.Metode penelitian yaitu analitik deskriptif, dengan pendekatan fenomenologi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dampak kebijakan dari regulasi DPP Pemkot Surakarta belum bisa sepenuhnya menghidupkan kondisi pasar Pucang Sawit. Munculnya Cangwit Creative Space yang diresmikan tanggal 21 Nopember 2015 sesaat mampu menghidupkan kondisi Pasar Pucang Sawit dan hingga tahun 2017 benar-benar vakum tanpa kegiatan apapapun. Keberlanjutan Cangwit Creative Space akan dihidupkan dengan salah satu alternatif bentuk zonasi ruang yang baru yaitu dengan pembenahan dan penambahan: Zona Pengelola, Zona Co-Working Space , Zona Penjualan dan Display, Zona Pembinaan bagi para pedagang, dan Zona Khusus untuk kepentingan negosiasi bisnis.

Abstract

The long-term goal of this research is that in Surakarta, multicultural social stability can be established far from a culture of violence, especially between ethnic Chinese and Javanese. This is considering that the target of the the violence cases that occurred in Surakarta was ethnic Chinese. The method developed was optimiz-ing the education of multiculturalism values in historical learning in SMA / SMK Surakarta. The specific objective of this research was to obtain scientific data on multiculturalism and value education in history learning in high school / vocational school in Surakarta. This study uses a naturalistic approach to describe naturally, completely, deeply, and intactly about multiculturalism and value education in historical learning in high school / vocational high school in Surakarta. Therefore, this research is exploratory, which explains a phenomenon that is detailed, comprehensive and in-depth. Data collection techniques include direct observa-tion, in-depth interviews, archival studies, historical analysis, and FGD. The conclusions of this study are as follows: (1) most of the history teachers in high school / vocational school do not fully understand the concept of multiculturalism and the implementation of its values in historical learning, (2) the history teachers in high school / vocational schools have a positive perception and support the implementation of multiculturalism values in history learning , (3) in the learning process, the teachers have tried to implant multiculturalism values, such as values of tolerance, democracy, cooperation, unity, and the value of peace in learning history. The values of multiculturalism have also been included in the RPP of the history subjects, as one of the basic competencies, (4) the students have a positive perception and agree to the planting of the multiculturalism values in learning history. They consider that the planting of multiculturalism values can support the realization of national unity.

Abstract

The research aims to describe the art and cultural performances at the tourism of BasaPagaruyung Palace. These two factors can provide a different experience compared to other regions as tourist destinations of the BasaPagaruyung Palace. The research uses descriptive methods with an analysis of democratic government with the people adhering matrilineal system. Performing arts and leasing of Minangkabau traditional clothing become a tourist attraction at the BasaPagaruyung Palace. This research is important and urgent because in the context of the tourism industry, in addition to the main attraction of a tourist destination, complementary attraction provides a different experience from each region visited by tourists. The results of the study show that the arts and cultural performances at the tourist sites of the Palace of BasaPagaruyung are performances of clown art and rental of Minangkabau traditional clothing which is a complementary attraction that is different from the attraction of tourist destinations elsewhere, due to the design of clown shows and clothing rentals that is designed according to the traditional Minangkabau characteristics. It makes clown performances and rental of Minangkabau traditional costumes provide a different experience with other regions for tourists visiting the tourist sites of the BasaPagaruyung Palace.

Abstract

This research aims to produce a laboratory information system at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design of the Indonesian Art Institute of Surakarta. The research method used is developmental research using the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) development methodology, the waterfall model with its stages is requirement (identification of needs), analysis, design, implementation and testing. The system produced is web-based application using the PHP and MySQL programming languages. This information system can be used to process laboratory equipment data starting from an inventory of equipments, materials, use, checking, returning, making reports and other documentation. All these services will use the application program, so that the processing time will be faster with minimal error rates. This system can display a report on the number of equipment usage statistics, the number of the top ten equipments that are often borrowed, reports of good or damaged equipment conditions and reports of equipment usage records. The model design of this system is illustrated by the Data Flow Diagram (DAD) model. Control design is focused on the security of accessing pages, data and information available by determining three levels of users, namely admin, operator and user.

Abstract

The show entitled Noto represents an elaboration of dance, music, literature, visual art, and light. This show collaborate artistic expressions among artists from various fields starting from their respective experiences and artistic backgrounds. The results of this exploration and collaboration were presented on the prosenium stage. The show’s collaboration aims to find the meeting point between NotoSoeroto and Piet Mondrian through the theosophy and spiritualism. The search process also translates the similar symptoms between the two, both the background of the beliefs, the artistic expressions that each uses. The search results were then dialogue, using their artistic languages, in the work of art exploration and collaboration to produce the show entitled Noto.

Abstract

Artistic research activities (art creation) entitled “Bokinul dance as strengthening the distination of Jenawi regional tourism areas in Karanganyar regency”. Dance coaching is the service of artistic research (art cre-ation) as a form of collaboration to develop the creativity of performing arts and ethnic music, creating creativ-ity through local wisdom and originating from ancestral culture to capture the young generation together to preserve the surrounding cultural arts. Artistic research (art creation) aims (1). existing dance coaching, bokinul. (2) the development of dance forms in citing leads to character recognition training in dance movements, introduction of musical instruments and costumes to be worn. The approach method used in this activity is in the form of training and technical assistance in designing dance movements and accompanying music. Musi-cal instrument production training will be carried out in stages: costume-making training includes designing costumes, designing headdresses, designing accessories and finally activities, namely financial management training including calculation of production costs and selling prices, target achievements in this case for the community, these are design results dance and music design, products designed by musical instruments and costumes and the results of training in calculating production costs. While the output achievement target is a scientific report text presentation of the results of artistic research, in the form of performances and / or exhibitions.
