Abstract

The purpose of liberating education is to develop the potential of learners. Thus, education is essentially freeing man from the bondage of ignorance and backwardness. A person's maturity needs to be developed because humans by nature have been given various potentials. Abstract

Finding the root of a function cannot always be solved analytically, namely an equation of a non-linear function, so it must be done numerically with the help of a computer to perform computations, using a certain programming language. transcendental function equations and polynomial function equations. In the Non Linear Equation System, among several solution Procedures that are often used are the Newton-Raphson, the Secant, the Bisection (Dividing Interval), the False-Regulatory Procedure. In this case, the authors interested to analyzing two existing Procedures in finding the root of a non-linear function in the form of a three-degree polynomial function. This process of analysis uses the Java of programming language tool, with the reason to make it easier in terms of the algorithm analysis of completion of Procedure, and to make it easier in monitoring in terms of execution time and analysis of the output results. Recording to that reasion, we can clearly know what the differences are between the False-Position Procedure and Interval Bisection Procedure.

Abstract

Most students struggle with English descriptive writing skills, particularly generating ideas, creating sentences, and developing paragraphs, resulting in a lack of motivation. A teacher-created tutorial video (TCTV) was utilized to address the students' difficulties with descriptive writing skills. This study aims to investigate TCTV media's effect on students' descriptive writing skills and to determine their perceptions of the medium. This research employed a mixed method with an explanatory research design. The study's sample comprised 25 of 98 seventh-grade students from an Indonesian public secondary school in (city) Indonesia. The findings indicated that Zcount is greater than ttable, 26.0 > 1.708. It was concluded that the hypothesis is accepted, indicating that the use of TCTV media affected the descriptive writing skills of the students. In addition, students had good responses about the use of TCTV media in producing a descriptive text since it enables them to cope with the stages of the writing process by adapting the concepts of the Genre-based Approach (GBA) through the stimulus provided by the teacher. It is highly advised that the teacher create appropriate media to assist the students in accomplishing the learning goals. TCTV media can also be designed with the learning purpose, student profile, and student needs in mind.

Abstract

This study mainly to describe the gender differences in wtiting complex sentences. Twelve (12) students grade eight (8) junior high school students in two different places, one is in North Sumatera and another one is in Manado – 6 males and 6 females – were instructed to write an informal letter to their friends. The writers use a descriptive qualitative method to classify and analyze the writing complex sentences. The object of this study was 12 students’ informal letter. The findings of this research are following: 1T-units (1 independent clause) for male is 36% and 1T-units for female is 64%; it shows a big gap. However, the 2T-units (2 independent clauses) for male is 21% and for female is 17%, and 3T-units (3 independent clauses) for male is 11% and for female is also 11%.

Abstract

Based on Article 1 Point 20 of Law No. 20/2003 concerning the National Education System, it is stated that learning is a process of interaction between students and educators and learning resources in a learning environment. In the higher education environment, this interaction occurs between students and lecturers. This learning process does not only consist of lecturers and students, but also methods or learning strategies that will be used by lecturers in the learning process, learning objectives to be achieved and learning materials. This study aims to build a model of a standard good practice information system for the learning process at STMIK AKI Pati, because the process of monitoring and evaluating learning so far is still using a manual system. The system development method used is the Rapid Application Development method

Abstract

One of the superior products of Langse village, Margorejo sub-district is tempe chips, with a total of 15 business actors, and most of them become home industry centers that absorb the energy of the majority of the Langse village community. In addition, there are other micro, small and medium enterprises, namely batik and vegetable and fruit traders. However, with the Covid 19 pandemic, the MSMEs of Langse village were greatly affected, due to the declining purchasing power of the people, the marketing system still uses the traditional system by trading directly in the market or entrusting merchandise to stalls and limited marketing reach. The purpose of this research is to develop MSMEs in Langke village, Margorejo sub-district, which had slumped by building a network between MSME actors and expanding marketing reach by building a marketplace.

Abstract

An efficient method of reading comprehension instruction is required for students to comprehend a text. This study's objectives were to examine if the Herringbone technique helps teach reading comprehension to vocational high school students majoring in fisheries and to explain the students' perceptions of the technique. This study's sample comprised students from the fisheries aquaculture technology department at Sekolah Usaha Perikanan Menengah (SUPM) in Pontianak. This study utilized a mixed-methods research approach. The researcher obtained data from the students by pre-test and post-test, observation, questionnaire, and interview. The Herringbone approach significantly impacts reading comprehension, as determined by statistical analysis. This research also demonstrated that the Herringbone approach was 14% effective in improving students' reading comprehension. Then, based on the students' perceptions of the Herringbone technique, it can be concluded that the students have a positive perception of reading comprehension while utilizing the Herringbone technique and the 5W1H method. In other words, the herringbone method significantly enhances students' reading comprehension in vocational high schools.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student civics learning outcomes by applying the direct learning model in second-grade elementary students in Sorong Regency, Teluk Dore Village. We applied a pre-experimental design and used pretest-posttest by taking tests to students. This study benefit schools by increasing civics learning outcomes through direct learning model. The results of research regarding the application of the direct learning learning model can improve Civics learning outcomes, especially in living in harmony. Abstract

Increasing Ability to Analyze Information in Explanatory Text Using the Discovery Learning Learning Model for Class XI-Beauty Students at SMK Negeri 2 Kota Sorong. Formulation of the problem How to increase the ability to analyze information in explanatory text using the Discovery learning learning model for class XI students of SMK Negeri 2 Sorong city?. The purpose of the research is to find out the increase in the ability to analyze information in explanatory texts using the Discovery learning learning model for class XI students of SMK Negeri 2 Sorong City. The form of this research is classroom action research. The research subjects were 15 students of class XI-Beauty at SMK Negeri 2 Sorong City. The method used is a qualitative - quantitative description method. The research includes two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data collection was carried out by tests and nontes. Data collection tools include observation guidelines, journals, interview guidelines, and photo documentation guidelines. It can be concluded as follows: There was an increase in the ability to analyze explanatory text using the Discovery learning learning model with non-test results in cycle I and cycle II covering two aspects, namely (1) Function (2) Completeness of General Explanation Structure, Process, Closing. The increase in the ability to analyze explanatory text is known from the results of cycle I and cycle II. The average value of the ability to analyze explanatory text is known from the results of cycle I. The average value of ability to analyze explanatory text in cycle I was 76% or in the less category, and experienced an increase in cycle II to 81.6% or in the good category. This shows an increase in the average value of writing the text of the observation report from cycle I to cycle II of 5.6%. In cycle II, using the Discopery Learning learning model, the number of students is 15 with a minimum average score that has been fulfilled, which exceeds the KKM score of 75.

Abstract

Problem Formulation How to analyze the E-Counseling System for problematic student data? And how to input problematic student service data in the E-Counseling System. The purpose of this study is to analyze the E-Counseling System for data on students with problems at SMP Negeri 6 Kota Sorong. This type of research is included in the type of qualitative method research, namely as a method that is analyzed systematically by describing the results of the research. RUP is an iterative approach to software that focuses on architecture (architecture-centric), by implementing object-oriented data and activities focusing on model expansion. RUP is more directed at use cases (use case driven). RUP method. Counseling Guidance is an assistance service for students, both individually and in groups, so that they are independent and develop optimally. SMP Negeri 6 Kota Sorong is one of the schools that implements guidance and counseling services. Basically this counseling guidance is intended for students who often commit violations at school, so that they can help the school, especially the counseling guidance section in searching for guidance student data and making fast and accurate reports. The system development method uses the RUP method. This system uses the PHP and MySQL programming languages ​​as database servers which are summarized in one Xampp application. Problems that occur in processing student data with problems in guidance and counseling at SMP Negeri 6 Kota Sorong currently still use manual data which is still written in the violation book of problematic students
