Abstract

Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative disease caused by a decrease in the amount of dopamine in the brain that plays a role in controlling movement due to damage to nerve cells in the Substantia Nigra Pars compacta (SNc) in the brain stem and abnormal protein aggregation in the form of Lewy bodies, which contain -synuclein. Parkinson's disease is characterized by the presence of dominant motor symptoms in the form of tremor at rest, rigidity, bradykinesia, and loss of postural reflexes. Physical rehabilitation can generally be used in patients with Parkinson's disease to improve health and relieve symptoms. Aerobic exercise is believed to promote fitness in Parkinson's patients and improve motor function in the elderly with Parkinson's disease. The purpose of this literature review is to determine the effectiveness of providing aerobic exercise in improving motor function in the elderly with Parkinson's disease. The implementation strategy uses a literature review technique obtained through an online search process on related research journals that have existed previously. The search was carried out through the PubMed database. Giving aerobic exercise is effective in improving motor function in the elderly with Parkinson's disease.

Abstract

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a disease characterized by mood or emotional, bodily, and behavioral symptoms of reproductive women that increase in the menstrual cycle during the luteal phase and disappear within a few days after menstruation. Approximately 50% - 80% of reproductive women suffer from PMS (approximately 3% to 8%) can cause severe mood swings, which interfere with their lifestyle and quality of life. Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) is an effective way to achieve a balance between the sympathetic and the parasympathetic nervous system so  reducing the impact of stress on the body. This study aim to evaluate effectivity of progressive muscle relaxation by mobile health to premenstrual syndrome in adolescent. A quantitative study using a Quasy-experimental with two Group Pre-Posttest design. Samples are 52 adolescents have experience PMS, have reguler menstrual cycle, are able to communicate well, can read and write, have cellphones/other communication tools, and willing be a respondent. Instruments using PSST for Screening of PMS and DRSP for evaluate PMS at experimental and control groups. Experimental Group given PMR by mobile health during 10 days. Bivariat analysis using Mann-Whitney test. The result of study found that grade of PMS at pretest was 15% mild, 38,5% Moderate and Severe among 48,5%. The Mann-Whitney value showed that there was a significant difference found between experimental and control group at level of p <0,001. This is reveals that there was a significant decrease to premenstrual syndrome in the experimental group after PMR. This study showed that there is a strong need for further reproductive health education. So there should be a regular service and health education programme on premenstrual syndrome and  progressive muscle relaxation or exercises at all hospitals or clinic and nurses or another caregivers have an important role to do it.

Abstract

The allocation of resource blocks is very important in wireless communication, there is an allocation of signal dimensions between users in the uplink and downlink channels. In recent years, wireless communications users are increasing day by day, but the challenge is that the available spectrum is very limited. In this article we will discuss the optimal allocation of resource blocks, which is one of the resources in MIMO-OFDMA, using the genetic algorithm (GA). The algorithm determines the number of resource blocks for each user and then transmits the results of the allocation  to each user. This study will also compare the results of the allocation without and with the Genetic Algorithm (GA). The measurement parameters are carried out by changing several parameters: the number of users, the probability of mutation, the number of resource blocks and the probability of crossover. The results showed that with the use of Genetic Algorithm (GA) in the system there was an increase in the capacity value when compared to without GA. Therefore, optimization of resource blocks using Genetic Algorithm (GA) can improve system performance.

Abstract

The distance learning system is one of the Indonesian government's efforts to prevent the spread of the Covid-19. This learning system is also used in higher education. In practice, students as one of the actors in education are required to stay involved in learning well. Various challenges and barriers in learning activity can cause the emergence of academic stress. Previous studies have shown conflicting results regarding the relationship between academic stress and online student engagement. Therefore, the aim of this study is to examine the relationship between academic stress and online student engagement on students of Jakarta State University who are doing a distance learning (N=50). The study used a quantitative method with a correlational study. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Data were collected using Dixson’s Online Student Engagement Scale (OSE) and Gadzella’s Student-life Stress Inventory (SSI). The result of data analysis showed the value of correlation coefficient -0,301, p = 0,034 (p<0,05). It can be concluded that there is a negative relationship between academic stress and online student engagement which means that the higher online student engagement, the lower academic stress on college students.
