Abstract

In the Kupatan tradition, a common effort for blessings and prosperity is being undertaken by an entire community. This study uses qualitative method which aims to focus on implementation, the symbolic interpretation of food, and the philosophical values that exist in the Kupatan tradition. This study uses descriptive qualitative method. Meanwhile, data collection method used by researchers in the form of observation, interview techniques, and literature study. According to the results of this study, there are many symbolic meanings of food in the implementation of the kupatantradition, starting from what is categorized as the main food, namely kupat, along with the meaning of the raw material, namely white rice and its wrapping material, namely coconut leaves, as well as the symbolic meaning of various complementary foods in this tradition. Furthermore, the philosophical value is also analyzed in the form of implementing the Kupatan tradition which concludes that the implementation of the Kupatan tradition can shape the Tulungagung community in living a positive, tolerant, and harmonious social life with one another. Researchers hope that this tradition can be preserved by future generations and will be reviewed by future researchers in order to provide and find more up-to-date studies of the Kupatan tradition.

Abstract

Abstrak : Dalam era modern yang terus berkembang, penting bagi anak-anak untuk mengembangkan karakter yang kuat dan positif sebagai persiapan menghadapi berbagai tantangan dalam kehidupan. Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab telah menjadi topik yang menarik perhatian, tidak hanya sebagai sarana untuk membentuk karakter anak secara holistik, tapi juga sebagai bentuk komunikasi lintas budaya guna mengembangkan potensi anak-anak tersebut demi masa depannya. Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab memiliki potensi besar dalam membentuk karakter anak di era modern apabila diimplementasikan secara holistik dan terintegrasi dalam kurikulum pendidikan. Peran guru dan orang tua menjadi penting dalam memberikan dukungan dan pemahaman yang lebih mengenai pembelajaran Bahasa Arab untuk perkembangan karakter anak-anak dan juga menjadi pengawas, pembimbing dan penasehat bagi anak-anak dalam belajar dan memanfaatkan teknologi dalam preoses pembelajarannya. Dengan berkolaborasi bersama dan kesadaran yang meningkat, Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab akan sangat berguna dan menjadi sarana dalam membentuk generasi muda yang berintegritas, berkepribadian baik dan berempati di era modern yang semakin komples ini Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab, Karakter, Era Modern Abstract: In this modern era which is constantly growing, it is important for children to develop strong and positive characters preparation for facing various challenges in life. Learning Arabic today has become a topic of interest, not only as a means to shape the character of children holistically, but also as a form of cross-cultural communication in order to develop these children's potential for their future. Learning Arabic has great potential in shaping children's character in the modern era if it is implemented holistically and integrated into the education curriculum. The role of teachers and parents becomes important in providing support and a deeper understanding of learning Arabic for children's character development and also become supervisors, mentors and advisors for children in learning and utilizing technology in their learning processes. By collaborating together and awareness increases, Learning Arabic can be more usefull and become a means in forming a young generation with integrity, good personality and empathize in this increasingly complex modern era.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in building student characteristics in Elementary Schools during the Covid-19 pandemic and the constraints of Islamic Religious Education teachers in building student character in Elementary Schools during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature research methods. The collection technique used is document study, and the data analysis used is content analysis. The results showed that the learning process of Islamic Religious Education is not only cognitive but also affective and psychomotor. Islamic Religious Education in building student character in elementary schools can be done in various ways, but the most important thing is that a teacher can adapt to the times and can also determine effective learning strategies, especially in the learning process carried out online, considering that during the Covid-19 pandemic, learning was carried out online. In addition, a teacher must also be able to master competencies as an educator, namely professional, pedagogic, social, and personality. The obstacle experienced by Islam Religious Education teachers in building student character in elementary schools during the Covid-19 pandemic is that they have not mastered pedagogic competence so the learning method applied is monotonous, namely assignment. There are still many teachers who have not been able to adapt to the times, especially technology so the learning media used are less varied. There are still teachers who take actions that are not in accordance with Islamic religious teachings, Such as gambling, cheating, and justifying all means to get a certain position, especially to become a school principal.

Abstract

Dalam studi ini, peneliti ingin mengungkapkan pemahaman hadis larangan meminta jabatan yang disampaikan oleh Nabi saw. kepada Abd al-Rahman bin Samurah. Studi ini adalah studi kepustakaan. Sanad dari hadis tersebut dikumpulkan menggunakan metode takhrij al-hadis, kemudian dilakukan kritik hadis. Makna hadis dikaji menggunakan teknik interpretasi tekstual, intertekstual, dan kontekstual. Dari penelitian ditemukan ada enam belas jalur periwayatan yang semuanya berawal dari Abd al-Rahman bin Samurah yang tersebar pada tujuh (7) kitab hadis standar (mu‘tabar), yaitu Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Musnad Ahmad, Sunan al-Darimi, Sunan Abu Dawud, Sunan al-Tirmizi, dan Sunan al-Nasai. Hadis ini berstatus sahih. Adapun dari segi pemahaman, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa larangan ini berlaku bagi orang yang tidak memiliki kompetensi untuk memimpin dan seseorang tidak boleh terobsesi menjadi pemimpin. Sedangkan orang yang memiliki kompetensi diharapkan mengambil bagian dalam kepemimpinan, sehingga bisa memberikan maslahat.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the acculturation of Islamic cultural values ​​which include processions, the meaning of tools and materials, and the social values ​​of the Notonegoro perspective contained in the pèlèt betteng tradition in the people of Pademawu District, Pamekasan Regency, Madura. This research has an urgency as a written documentation of ancestral heritage that should be preserved and implemented. This research is a qualitative research type with a field research design. Research subjects were selected through a purposive sampling technique. The data collected in this study consisted of two data, namely the main data in the form of research subject interview data and other supporting data. The data analysis method used is inductive analysis. The results showed that the procession of the pèlèt betteng ceremony in Pademawu District, Pamekasan Regency had six core processions, namely ngajjhi, pèlèt betteng, neḍḍhâ nyèyor ban tellor, siraman, bhânteng nyèyor, and rojhâk gobet. The meaning contained in the tools and materials also uses more meaning that comes from the view of life of the community itself. In addition, there are three social values ​​from Notonegoro's perspective in the traditional ceremony of pèlèt betteng for the people of Pademawu District, Pamekasan Regency, namely material values, vital values, and spiritual values. Abstract

This study aims to explain the role of Islamic education in overcoming various educational problems in the technological era. In essence, education has a very large impact on the progress of human civilization. With education, students are equipped to face challenges in the future. Along with the times, technology is developing rapidly, including artificial intelligence, Islamic education is able to show its existence. This study uses qualitative research with literature studies. The stages carried out in this study were data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are that Islamic education needs to be continuously improved so that it can provide proportional implications according to the times. Islamic education combines scientific values both intellectually and spiritually. This can be used as a solution to overcome various problems faced in the world of education in the technological era.

Abstract

This article discusses the intratextual interpretation method of the concepts of faith and Islam by Muhammad Syahrur, a prominent Muslim thinker. The focus of the study is to explore Syahrur's approach to Islamic theology and how he uses intratextual interpretation as a method to interpret texts and underlying meanings. This study employs a qualitative critical analysis method by examining Syahrur's texts to identify themes and patterns related to his intratextual interpretation of faith and Islam. The findings reveal that Syahrur's interpretation of faith and Islam is based on the Quran, which he believes to be the primary source for Islamic theology. Syahrur uses intratextual interpretation to identify the underlying meanings of Quranic verses, including linguistic nuances and historical context. This study also shows that Syahrur's intratextual interpretation of faith and Islam significantly differs from traditional understandings of these concepts. For instance, Syahrur reinterprets the concept of faith to emphasize the importance of rationality and reason, which he believes are crucial for a comprehensive understanding of Islamic theology. Overall, this study provides an innovative perspective for understanding intratextual interpretation of faith and Islam. Its findings contribute to a more comprehensive appreciation of the philosophical and theological principles of modern Islamic thought. Abstrak Artikel ini membahas metode interpretasi intratektualitas konsep iman dan Islam oleh Muhammad Syahrur, seorang pemikir muslim terkemuka. Fokus dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi pendekatan Syahrur terhadap teologi Islam dan bagaimana ia menggunakan interpretasi intratektualitas sebagai metode untuk menginterpretasikan teks-teks dan makna-makna yang mendasarinya. Studi ini menggunakan metode kualitatif analisis kritis dengan memeriksa teks-teks Syahrur untuk mengidentifikasi tema-tema dan pola-pola terkait dengan interpretasi intratektualitasnya tentang iman dan Islam. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa interpretasi Syahrur tentang iman dan Islam didasarkan pada teks Al-Qur’an yang ia percayai sebagai sumber primer bagi teologi Islam. Syahrur menggunakan interpretasi intratektualitas untuk mengidentifikasi makna-makna yang mendasar dari ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an, termasuk nuansa-nuansa linguistik dan konteks sejarah. Studi ini juga menunjukkan bahwa interpretasi intratektualitas Syahrur tentang iman dan Islam secara signifikan berbeda dari pemahaman tradisional tentang konsep-konsep tersebut. Sebagai contoh, Syahrur menafsirkan kembali konsep iman untuk menekankan pentingnya rasionalitas dan akal, yang menurutnya penting untuk memahami secara komprehensif teologi Islam. Secara keseluruhan, studi ini memberikan perspektif inovatif untuk memahami interpretasi intratektualitas dari iman dan Islam. Temuannya berkontribusi pada penghargaan yang lebih komprehensif tentang prinsip-prinsip filosofis dan teologis pemikiran Islam modern. Abstract

A figure's expertise places his status in a certain social position. This position becomes a keyword to identify the thoughts and ideas that are characterized. At the same time, this kind of identification contains a problem that leads to closed access to the mastery of other important ideas possessed by the figure. Shaykh Mahfudz, who is known by the keyword in the field of hadith sanad studies, experiences this problem. In this context, the author wants to examine the extent of the spread of Shaykh Mahfudz's ideas that are not much explored in the Qur'anic studies enclosure and what the implications are. Through internal and external relationships explored through Fath al-Khabir bi Syarhi Miftah at-Tafsir and looking at sociological relationships in the context of the spread of his knowledge. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach. Through the book written by Shaykh Mahfudz; Fath al-Khabir bi Syarh Miftah at-Tafsir and other literature that supports this research. As a result, Shaykh Mahfudz with the depth of his Islamic knowledge horizons, he is not better known for his prominence in the field of Hadith studies than in Qur'anic studies. This confirms that the dissemination of knowledge within the framework of teacher and student relationships and the broad social context also influenced the burial of other important ideas owned by Shaykh Mahfudz.

Abstract

In Muslim societies, LGBT issues are often a sensitive and complex debate, with some groups and scholars viewing them as a violation of religious norms, while others seek a more inclusive approach. The understanding of fiqh becomes the main foundation in explaining various aspects related to this controversial sexual identity and orientation. By adopting a qualitative research method, this study involves a literature study of various primary sources of Islamic fiqh. The study also provides an overview of the evolution of LGBT-related fiqh thinking and interpretation throughout Islamic history. The results show the diversity of scholars' approaches to LGBT issues, along with interpretations of scripture and principles of fiqh. The stipulations related to LGBT behavior in fiqh are explained differently in terms of the punishment stipulated based on the legal source. Thus, it can be concluded that the understanding of LGBT in through the dadil sourced from the Qur'an and hadith has formulated fiqh law.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the rampant news of recent murder cases on various social media pages, hence this study aims to analyze the phenomenon of human rights in the contemporary era using Ibn 'Asyur's perspective which is considered to have a positive cultural impact for social benefit to the community, especially in the book of tafsir al-Tahrir wa al-Tanwir in Q.S al-Maidah verse 32. This research uses a qualitative method of literature study type with content analysis on the interpretation of Q.S al-Maidah verse 32 perspective of Ibn 'Asyur and other relevant sources. The results showed that in responding to the phenomenon that violates human rights on a large scale (murder), the people who are the object should use the way not to kill each other. However, using one of the stages of mediation in order to get the best solution, by not eliminating the lives of others.
