Abstract

Some experts argue that Islam initially spreading in the archipelago was highly influenced by Sufism. One of the advantages of the approach taken by Sufis was that Islam was relatively tolerant with local culture. Because of such an approach, various local people could easily accept Islam, including those coming from rural and remote areas. Some Muslim religious scholars (ulama) recorded this Islamization in their works and manuscripts. One of the manuscripts was written by Abdul Malik bin Haji Abu Bakar Krui Penengahan Lahai. This important document was found in an inland area of West Kalimantan. Through philological and historical examinations to this manuscript, this study finds that Sufism that was spreading in that area was affiliated to Qadiriyah wa Naqsyabandiyah sufi order. The text explicitly refers to Fath al-‘Ârifin work, written by Khatib Sambas, the founder of the Qadiriyah wa Naqsyabandiyah sufi order. One important teaching offered by this Sufism is the integration between sharia and tasawuf. The text also reveals that the spread of Islam did not neglect to accommodate local culture.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the content or content of Hajj Muhammad Saleh's work, namely the Book of Syarah Aqidatul al-Awam with the content of Aqidah Akhlak Subject Material in Madrasah Tsanawiyah. The research method used is literature study, which is an analysis of the content of the book of Syarah Aqidatul al-Awam. The results showed that the Book of Syarah Aqidatul al-Awam has enormous relevance to the subject of Aqidah Akhlak in Madrasah Tsanawiyah. This is because the content of the book can help strengthen the basics of aqidah of Madrasah Tsanawiyah students. This research also shows that Syarah Aqidatul al-Awam contains the basics of the ahlussunnah waljamaa'ah creed, which is the creed followed by most Muslims. Ahlussunnah waljamah, ahl which means group, follower, or family. As-Sunnah which means the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, either something said, deed, or confession. The Book of Sarah Aqidatul al-Awam contains Aqaid 50 which consists of 20 obligatory qualities, 20 impossible qualities, and 1 jaiz attribute for Allah. Then 4 obligatory qualities for the apostle, 4 impossible qualities, and 1 jaiznya nature. The Book of Syarah Aqidatul al-Awam is a book consisting of 57 nadzom stanzas and contains material about the creed. The material of creed in the Book of Syarah Aqidatul al-Awam has relevance to the material of creed in the subjects of moral creed at the level of Madrasah Tsanawiyah

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relevance between Islamic inheritance law material and the book Majmu'ul Al-Mirats Fil Hukmil Faraid in class XII PAI material. This research was conducted by qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach that is happening today. The focus of this research will be to review the extent of the relevance of the book to PAI material in grade XII high school. The setting of this research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Nanga Pinoh, Melawi Regency. Researchers took samples of PAI teaching materials used during teaching and learning activities. The results of the study found that Ismail Mundu as a scholar had practiced his knowledge in educating the community and realizing a religious and peaceful society. Islam regulates human relations with others, which includes the issue of inheritance. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) brought Islamic inheritance law to change the jahiliyah inheritance law which was largely determined by tribal elements that were considered unjust. In Islamic inheritance rules, the curriculum in the world of education also does not escape to review clearly the basic principles concerning inheritance law, so that inheritance material is poured in the high school level learning package book. The Book of Majmu'ul Al-Mirats Fil Hukmil Faraid is very relevant to the PAI material in class XII, because it also explains the source or basis of inheritance law in it and presents the division and example cases in the material content

Abstract

This research aims to analyze Islamic religious education in the family based on the perspective of H. Ismail Arsyad Kubu's manuscript. This text contains guidelines and values taught in the family context to shape children's character and faith. The method used in research is literature with a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, namely a problem solving method by carefully reading ideas or thoughts and analyzing texts, emphasizing the principles of religious education, the values instilled and recommended. teaching strategies. in the script. The research results show that H. Ismail Arsyad Kubu's text emphasizes the importance of the role of parents as the main role models in religious education. Parents are expected to be actively involved in providing understanding of religion through various approaches, such as stories, discussions and daily worship practices. Apart from that, this text also highlights the importance of learning that is contextual and appropriate to children's psychological development. Religious education in the family, according to this text, must be carried out with love and patience, and adapted to the conditions and situation of each family. These findings provide an important contribution to the development of a model of Islamic religious education in the family that is more effective, relevant and adaptive to changing times. This study also offers valuable historical insight into the practice of religious education in families in the past, which is still relevant to apply today.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the manuscript of Risālat al-Tajhīz, by H. Muhammad Jabir, a scholar from Sambas, West Kalimantan, then see its relevance to PAI materials in schools, especially fardu kifayah. This study is a qualitative research using two approaches, namely library research and historical research. This study concludes that the Risālat al-Tajhīz manuscript is one of the important works produced by local scholars of West Kalimantan. Judging from its structure, the al-Tajhīz manuscript is more detailed in the description and steps of the management of the corpse complete with the legal basis that accompanies it. In other words, the material in Risalat al-Tajhiz is very relevant so that it can be used as an alternative companion book to enrich PAI teaching materials delivered to students

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in shaping the future generations of both the nation and religion. The quality of education today holds paramount importance in human life. A nation's progress heavily relies on the quality of its education system. Madrasah, as educational institutions in Indonesia overseen by the Ministry of Religion, have evolved into modern Islamic educational establishments. Their modernization is evident in both their physical infrastructure and academic standards. Madrasah now boast comprehensive facilities to support academic development, competent educators with specialized knowledge, dedicated staff, and other essential resources. Moreover, they have clearly defined institutional visions, missions, and goals that guide curriculum development. Each madrasah exhibits unique strengths and opportunities, reflecting the diversity among educational institutions. The provision of facilities and resources is a crucial factor considered by educators when crafting curricula. Hence, madrasah, as institutions characterized by Islamic principles, must develop curricula that encompass scientific programs integrating religion, technology, and soft skills such as independence and leadership.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi berbagai aspek terkait kesadaran moderasi beragama, dengan fokus pada pembinaan keagamaan santri di Pondok Pesantren Miftahul Hidayah. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan kontribusi terhadap pembaruan pendidikan Islam yang mencerminkan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama dan menjadikan lembaga ini sebagai model dalam membentuk karakter santri yang inklusif, toleran, dan penuh kasih. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif santri dalam setiap tahap penelitian, dari identifikasi masalah hingga evaluasi hasil. Metode yang diterapkan melibatkan observasi, wawancara, perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner dengan 15 pertanyaan free test dan post test yang diisi oleh 20 santri. Analisis data menggunakan software JASP dengan uji normalitas dan uji T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman santri tentang moderasi beragama setelah pembinaan keagamaan. Rata-rata nilai pre-test adalah 55.9, sedangkan nilai post-test meningkat menjadi 80.9, dengan perbedaan yang signifikan (p < 0.001). Pembinaan yang dilaksanakan mencakup pemahaman tentang moderasi beragama, serta mempererat hubungan antara Pondok Pesantren Miftahul Hidayah dan IAIN Pontianak. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadikan santri sebagai agen perubahan yang mempromosikan nilai-nilai toleransi dan kerukunan dalam masyarakat. Tantangan dalam penerapan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama mencakup penyesuaian pendekatan pembelajaran dan konsistensi penerapan nilai tersebut dalam lingkungan pesantren. Meskipun tantangan ada, upaya ini diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak positif dan memperkuat karakter santri dalam menghadapi keberagaman budaya dan agama di daerah perbatasan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the teacher personality competencies outlined in the manuscript Sedikit Tentang Pendidikan by Haji Ismail Arsyad. The continuing prevalence of moral decay in educational settings serves as the rationale for investigating the teacher personality competencies presented in this manuscript, as they offer significant relevance for application in educational contexts.The research employs a descriptive-analytical method with a qualitative approach, utilizing content analysis for data collection. The primary data source was the manuscript transcribed by Dr. Erwin Mahrus, S.Ag., complemented by secondary sources such as related books and journals. The findings reveal that the manuscript Sedikit Tentang Pendidikan emphasizes several key personality traits that teachers should possess, including a strong character, authority, noble morals, and the ability to serve as role models for students. This study is expected to contribute to the development of teacher personality competencies in the field of education and offer valuable insights for academics, educators, and society at large.Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kompetensi kepribadian guru yang ada di dalam manuskrip karya Haji Ismail Arsyad yang berjudul “Sedikit Tentang Pendidikan.” Masih menjamurnya dekadensi moral di bangku pendidikan menjadi alasan kenapa kompetensi kepribadian guru dalam manuskrip ini perlu dikaji. Sebab di dalam manuskrip ini terkandung kompetensi kepribadian guru yang sangat relevan diterapkan di bangku pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan kualitatif serta pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik content analysis. Sumber primer dalam penelitian ini ialah manuskrip karya Haji Ismail Arsyad yang telah dialih aksarakan oleh Dr. Erwin Mahrus, S.Ag. Sementara sumber sekunder yang peneliti gunakan yaitu buku dan jurnal-jurnal yang berkaitan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa di dalam manuskrip “Sedikit Tentang Pendidikan” ada beberapa kepribadian khas yang harus dimiliki oleh guru, di antaranya: memiliki kepribadian yang kuat, berwibawa, dan berakhlak mulia, serta menjadi panutan bagi siswa. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan kompetensi kepribadian guru di bidang Pendidikan, serta dapat memberikan sumbangsih terhadap para akademisi, guru dan masyarakat pada umumnya.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in building student characteristics in Elementary Schools during the Covid-19 pandemic and the constraints of Islamic Religious Education teachers in building student character in Elementary Schools during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature research methods. The collection technique used is document study, and the data analysis used is content analysis. The results showed that the learning process of Islamic Religious Education is not only cognitive but also affective and psychomotor. Islamic Religious Education in building student character in elementary schools can be done in various ways, but the most important thing is that a teacher can adapt to the times and can also determine effective learning strategies, especially in the learning process carried out online, considering that during the Covid-19 pandemic, learning was carried out online. In addition, a teacher must also be able to master competencies as an educator, namely professional, pedagogic, social, and personality. The obstacle experienced by Islam Religious Education teachers in building student character in elementary schools during the Covid-19 pandemic is that they have not mastered pedagogic competence so the learning method applied is monotonous, namely assignment. There are still many teachers who have not been able to adapt to the times, especially technology so the learning media used are less varied. There are still teachers who take actions that are not in accordance with Islamic religious teachings, Such as gambling, cheating, and justifying all means to get a certain position, especially to become a school principal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan merancang desain pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) yang mampu memperkuat sikap anti kekerasan serta membentuk karakter Islami yang damai dan toleran pada peserta didik. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada meningkatnya fenomena kekerasan di lingkungan pendidikan, baik dalam bentuk fisik, verbal, maupun sosial, yang menuntut pendekatan pendidikan berbasis nilai-nilai Islam yang menekankan kasih sayang, kedamaian, dan penghargaan terhadap perbedaan. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka (library research) dengan menelaah berbagai literatur keislaman, teori pendidikan karakter, dan konsep anti kekerasan dari perspektif Islam. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa desain pembelajaran PAI yang efektif dalam menanamkan sikap anti kekerasan meliputi tujuan pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada nilai-nilai damai, materi yang relevan seperti ayat dan hadis tentang perdamaian, metode pembelajaran interaktif dan partisipatif seperti diskusi, simulasi konflik, serta penggunaan media yang mendukung pemahaman nilai-nilai Islami. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pembelajaran PAI yang terstruktur dan berbasis pada nilai-nilai rahmatan lil ‘alamin berperan strategis dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik yang memiliki sikap lemah lembut, pemaaf, toleran, dan mampu menghindari kekerasan dalam kehidupan sosialnya.
