Abstract

Industri Kecil dan Menengah (IKM) has an important role in the national economy, especially related to its contribution in employment. IKM is able to create jobs in the informal sector and accommodate workers who are not accommodated in the formal sector. The Ministry of Industry establishes the fashion industry as one of the priority industries that will continue to be developed. One of the supporters of the fashion industry is batik which has a high strength of cultural elements so that it can provide high added value. The cities of Yogyakarta, Solo and Pekalongan are known as the centers of batik in Indonesia. IKM fashion and convection especially batik has become a characteristic and livelihood there. However, the performance of the batik industry in Indonesia, including in these three regions, has recently declined. This study aims to conduct a comparative study of fashion and convection IKM in the cities of Yogyakarta, Solo and Pekalongan. The analytical tool used in this research is descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that the three regions have different characteristics.

Abstract

This research is done to find out the relationship between consumer doubt and value for money on purchase intention. This research uses quantitative method by collecting data through questionnaires of 30 respondents, sample is done by purposive random sampling method. In this research, analysis of relationship was done between consumer doubt, and value for money on purchase intention to find out which variables affects purchase intention. What distinguishes this research from other researches is that there is a new product that has been owned yet by the more well-known brand of smartphones, namely the existence of the back screen that is used to take self- photographs by using the rear camera. Hypothesis is done to produces calculation statistics that the factor of purchase intention, that is consumer doubt affecting negatively on purchase intention, and value for money affecting positively on purchase intention.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the factors that can influence the students at the University of Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya in understanding accounting as a form of knowledge. Determination of samples uses the purposive sampling method and resulted in 60 respondents. This study collected samples of seventh semester accounting students who are submitting their undergraduate final assignments, and the sample have fulfilled the required accounting courses. Not all of the variables analyzed influence the level of understanding of accounting. The variable of Social Intelligence, the variable of Learning Behavior, and the variable of Academic Culture are proven to have influence on students’ understanding of accounting. The variable of Motivation and Self-Esteem have no influence on the students’ level of understanding on accounting.

Abstract

Improving hard skills and soft skills can be done through appropriate and well-scheduled training. So, the purpose of this study is to look at differences in increasing the competence of hard skills and soft skills in cleaning staff at private universities through learning control classes and experimental classes. The method used is a quasi-experimental design with the Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Respondents in this study were 50 cleaning staff of a private university in Surabaya, Indonesia. The results showed that the achievement of the experimental class assessment is significantly different compared to the achievement of the control class assessment regarding soft skills and hard skills.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze whether training skill or short course which had been done by woman cooperative can grow entrepreneurial interest on woman cooperative’s members. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling with a simple size of 100 respondents to formula Isaac and Michael. The variable is training skill, motivation and entrepreneurial interest. The result of this study concluded that training skill variable simultaneously and partially have significant effect on entrepreneurial interest of woman cooperative’s members.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of entrepreneurial orientation and market orientation on the marketing performance of furniture home industry in Sawahan District. The objectives of this research are to: (1) determine the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on marketing performance (2) determine the effect of market orientation on marketing performance. The population in this study were 158 furniture home industry businesses in Sawahan District, Surabaya. The number of samples taken is 113 respondents which was determined using the Slovin formula. By using a quantitative research approach, the sampling technique used in this study used a random sampling method. Source of data obtained in this study is through the process of distributing questionnaires to 113 respondents in the home furniture industry in the District of Sawahan. The analytical tool used was SPSS 22. The results of the research obtained are that (1) entrepreneurial orientation do not significantly influence the marketing performance of furniture home industry in Sawahan District (2) Market orientation do not significantly influence the marketing performance of furniture home industry in Sawahan District. From the results of the research, business actors can begin to implement entrepreneurial orientation and market orientation through real practice. External encouragement is needed by businesses through extension activities and intensive training given by the government to mentally equip and provide knowledge so the furniture home industry business owners in Sawahan District can maintain the sustainability of their businesses.

Abstract

This qualitative phenomenological study aims to examine andcompare the perceptions of workers in the banking sector regarding theimplementation of STARA in their work. This study was conducted throughin-depth interviews with informants about perceptions regarding optimizing STARA implementation in the banking sector, in the form of bankingdigitalization in the current Industrial Revolution 4.0 era. The informantsin this study were bank employees such as the teller, customer service, andback-office personnel. Sampling was done using non-random samplingmethod with purposive sampling technique which amounted to 12 informants, consisting of four tellers, four customer service officers, and fourback-office personnel. The results of the study showed that the majority ofbank employees in frontliner positions, namely tellers, felt that their position could be replaced by the implementation of STARA. However, someinformants in the frontliner position, namely customer service, stated thatthey did not feel threatened, because they believed there was a certaincomfort when customers were served by humans rather than by machines.Meanwhile, bank employees in the back-office position have not felt anythreat due to the implementation of STARA because they feel that the analysis process cannot be fully carried out properly by a system and still requires humans. In addition, employees in the back-office position statedthat the implementation of STARA makes it easy for them to completetheir work and can be used as an opportunity to achieve work performance.The results of this study also show that overall employees have not felt adecrease in commitment to the organization, obstacles in career advancement, desire to move, cynicism, or depression when working with the implementation of STARA, which is predicted to take their jobs.

Abstract

Human resources play a vital role in every company becausehuman resources are the cogs for the running of the company. Nowadays,competition in any company is getting tougher, including the banking industry.This study aims to prove the effect of Self-efficacy on Work Engagementmediated by HRD Climate. This research was conducted at PT X asa third party, which is an outsourcing company for bank employees inJakarta. Questionnaires were distributed to 150 employees, and data processingwas done using SPSS v22 software and Hayes PROCESS v3 macros.The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significantinfluence between the variable Self-efficacy on Work Engagement mediatedby HRD Climate, with a more significant direct effect between theSelf-efficacy variable on Work Engagement on outsourced bank employeesin Jakarta.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is gender economic development, labor force participation, unemployment, and education. The research method uses descriptive qualitative supported by quantitative data. the results of this study that the community understood enough about the concept of gender, gender equality and gender mainstreaming. women and men seem to understand women better than men. This can be seen from the results of data analysis. In terms of the notion of gender, there are still varied opinions, signifying the struggle for a variety of understandings about gender concepts. In terms of whether or not they agree with gender equality, there are still those who say disagree even though the number is small at 20.50% and when compared to that number men are greater (13.67%) than women (6.83%). because most men mentioned because women would feel no longer uncomfortable with men. From this it can be said that there is still a patriarchal culture, which considers women to feel uncomfortable facing men, men should be more authoritative, than women, where it should not have happened if they understood the concept of gender. In the end, it can be said that in general, they are conceptually aware of the concept of gender equality or gender mainstreaming but in reality, their perceptions are still influenced by the culture of male domination. Abstract

This research is a quantitative study that aims to answer the question of whether product quality and price affect the sales level of the“SAPARDI” meatballs in Jemur Gayungan street. This research uses thequantitative method with a customer satisfaction survey approach. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling, with 78 respondents.Data collection technique used questionnaires and were processed usingSPSS statistics 16. The results showed that the quality of the product had apartially positive but not significant effect, meaning that it had an effectbut it was very small and it was necessary to make creative ideas for itsproducts. Price has a positive and significant effect, meaning that price isone of the reasons customers buy Sapardi meatballs. There is a simultaneous influence between product quality and price variables on the SalesLevel of the “SAPARDI” Meatballs in Jemur Gayungan but the effect is nottoo significant, so it is necessary to do further research using other variables.
