Abstract

The risk of work accidents that can be experienced by project workers is very high in the world of construction. This can be caused by behavioral factors, one of which is project workers' indiscipline in wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which can endanger the personal safety of project workers. By utilizing Artificial Intelligence technology, with the computer vision domain, researchers created a PPE detection application using the YoloV5 algorithm. The stage of creating this detection application starts from the process of problem scoping, data acquisition, data exploration, modeling, evaluation and deployment. The dataset used in making this application was taken from Saravana Alagar via Google Drive, covering 4 PPE objects, namely helmets, masks, vests and shoes. By conducting a training dataset of 100 epochs, the percentage results given were very good, namely helmets 96%, vests 96%, masks 95%, and shoes 92%. It is hoped that making this application can minimize cases of work accidents that occur in the project worker area and can increase discipline in using project PPE

Abstract

This research aims to develop a decision support system to assist in selecting the best courier service based on specific criteria. The applied method involves using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) combined with the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) method to ensure accuracy in choosing the criteria for selecting the best courier service. The criteria used in this research for selecting a courier service include delivery cost, delivery speed, number of branches, and service quality. The AHP method is utilized to generate relative weight values for each criterion, while the WASPAS method is employed to calculate the final scores for courier services based on the predetermined weights. The research results provide recommendations for selecting the best courier service. System testing results indicate that the AHP and WASPAS methods can offer more accurate suggestions in courier service selection, leading to optimal outcomes

Abstract

Drug advertisements broadcast through television persuasively sell drug products by providing information about drugs and health so that the audience has interest and trust in choosing the drug product and then buying it to perform self-medication. Self-medication is a situation when a person uses medicines to treat diseases or symptoms that they recognize. The purpose of this study is to measure the effect of non-prescription over-the-counter drug advertisements aired on television with self-medication behavior on the use of non-prescription flu symptom relief drugs in West Java. The research method used is simple linear regression by testing normality, data determination test, and hypothesis testing. Significant results were obtained from testing the dependent and independent variables. The conclusion is that drug advertisements on television influence people in treating themselves, especially in handling flu symptoms. That way, advertising as a marketing communication medium for a drug company has succeeded in achieving the objectives and functions of the advertisement itself.

Abstract

In today's digital era, not many radio stations survive. Social media has become an influential communication tool for building images and relationships with audiences. PRFM (Pikiran Rakyat FM) News is a radio station that still survives today and keeps up with the times. The purpose of this research is to find out how PRFM (Pikiran Rakyat FM) News Instagram communication is planned. In an effort to understand the strategies used, this research applies a qualitative approach with descriptive methods because it allows researchers to gain in-depth insight into how PRFM News operates in conveying information to the audience. The results of this research show that PRFM follows ongoing trends. In this way, this PRFM communication strategy can maintain relevance and attract public interest in communicating every problem. PRFM also highlights the focus on message-composing techniques on Instagram. This shows awareness of the importance of effective message presentation to attract attention and retain the audience

Abstract

This research aims to determine qaulan layyina as cultural dialogue in the dynamics of contemporary society. This research uses a library method with a descriptive qualitative approach. This research uses primary and secondary data sources, with data analysis techniques that include analysis, description, and comparison. The data obtained was arranged systematically and analyzed using descriptive methods, with the study results presented logically. This research indicates that the principle of qaulan layyina, which emphasizes gentle and affectionate communication, has a central role in forming a positive communication environment. With a focus on gentleness and warmth in speech, this principle promotes interpersonal harmony and is critical to maintaining social balance and preventing conflict. This approach has universal relevance in the context of contemporary society, which is complex and full of differences. Qaulan layyina not only lays the foundation for solid individual relationships but also contributes to forming an inclusive and resilient communication culture. By prioritizing gentleness in communication, this principle encourages dialogue that respects differences, strengthens social solidarity, and creates space for cooperation and shared understanding.

Abstract

Marketing orientation in educational institutions needs to be adjusted to the impact of globalization and innovative marketing strategies used by companies, especially through social media platforms such as Instagram. This research was conducted to analyze creative content creation strategies by Tanjidor (Telutizen Menjadi Ambassador) as Telkom University's brand ambassador in carrying out academic branding via Instagram. This research was carried out using descriptive qualitative methods and based on a case study on Instagram @telkomuniversity. The results of this research conclude that Tanjidor as the brand ambassador of Telkom University has succeeded in implementing creative strategies on Instagram social media by creating content that includes information and messages related to Telkom University in achieving the academic branding goals that have been set

Abstract

Gita Savitri's statement regarding the issue of "childfree" on Instagram received various pro and con comments from internet users, especially followers of @gitasav, not even a few of them decided to unfollow @gitasav. The purpose of this study is to find out how the perception of ex-followers of @gitasav of her personal branding as education-influences after content and statements "childfree" on Instagram. This research is qualitative using a descriptive approach, which focuses on the eight main concepts of personal branding (8 laws of personal branding) by Montoya (2002). As a result, the perception of ex-followers @gitasav of her personal branding as education-influencers after content and statements about "childfree" don’t meet all elements in the main concept of personal branding by Montoya (2002), because it doesn’t meet the elements of Personality (The Law of Personality), Visibility (The Law of Visibility), Unity (The Law of Unity), and Goodwill (The Law of Goodwill).

Abstract

The manual attendance system running at SMA Negeri 1 Ambarawa currently uses written attendance by recording students' attendance every hour in a class journal. This system requires quite a long time to collect attendance data; the possibility of errors in data recording by officers is also quite large because the recording is done manually. The research method used is Design Science Research (DSR). The DSR method is a methodology used for research in the field of information technology. This method is oriented towards system information design. The results of this research produce an information system application that can optimize the management of student attendance data. Storing attendance data digitally can be an alternative for teachers managing student attendance data, making it easier for students to access the files when needed. Apart from that, this system can make it easier for teachers to input and recapitulate student attendance to control student attendance discipline as a form of accountability to parents.

Abstract

SDS Nurul Huda is a private elementary school located at Jl. Sei Serayu No 38, Babura, District of Medan Sunggal, City of Medan, North Sumatra Province. This school has been operating since 1978. Currently, student data entry and grading at SDS Nurul Huda are still done manually. Some teachers face difficulties in inputting data and grading due to it being time-consuming, especially for older teachers who struggle with reading numbers. Errors in writing student data and grades also frequently occur. This research aims to develop a data entry and grading application for students as a solution to enhance efficiency in school administration processes and replace the manual system, which is often prone to errors and time-consuming in data entry and grading. The outcome of this research is an Application for Data Entry and Grading for SDS Nurul Huda to facilitate teachers in swiftly and easily inputting student data and grades.

Abstract

International students who study in Indonesia are frequently experiencing anxiety in the process of adapting to the local culture. This is caused by various factors, such as differences in language, culture, values, and norms. This anxiety and uncertainty can hinder the adaptation process of foreign students when studying in Indonesia, especially Telkom University. This study aims to understand the mechanism of cultural adaptation and anxiety management carried out by Telkom University Foreign Students. The method used is a qualitative descriptive study using the constructivism paradigm. The data collection techniques used in this study were in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. This study uses two units of analysis, namely the process of adaptation and management of anxiety and uncertainty. From the results of the research that has been done, the adaptation process experienced by each foreign student is different. The application of anxiety and uncertainty management in adapting is having a self-concept, having motivation to interact, reacting well, and building connections.
