Abstract

Mental health issues have become a growing concern among young adults, while access to professional psychological services remains limited. Most existing digital mental health applications rely mainly on self-report questionnaires and lack the ability to interpret contextual emotional expressions found in user-written text, which reduces their effectiveness for early screening. This study proposes the design and implementation of a mobile-based mental health detection system that integrates contextual natural language processing with interactive assessment features. The system analyzes Indonesian-language textual reflections using an IndoBERT-based classification model and complements the results with a rule-based psychological scoring mechanism derived from questionnaire responses. Logistic Regression with TF–IDF features is employed as a baseline model for comparative evaluation. System performance is assessed using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. Experimental results show that the IndoBERT model outperforms the baseline, achieving an accuracy of 97.79%, compared to 94.17% for Logistic Regression. The proposed system is implemented as a Flutter-based mobile application to improve accessibility to early mental health screening among Indonesian university students. This study integrates two complementary approaches: NLP-based text classification using IndoBERT and rule-based psychological scoring derived from self-report questionnaires.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role and strategies of digital health communication through TikTok as an effective medium for disseminating health information, with a focus on the TikTok account of Dr. Tirta (@tirtaaaa). A qualitative approach was applied, employing content analysis of health education videos alongside audience response analysis drawn from the comments section. The data set comprised 30 health education videos uploaded between January and March 2025, with approximately 500 comments selected through purposive sampling. The results indicate that a communication strategy emphasizing plain language, a persuasive style, source credibility, and engaging visuals proved most effective in raising audience engagement and comprehension. Audience response analysis revealed that approximately 80–85% of comments were positive, characterized by expressions of support, appreciation, and reported behavioral shifts toward a healthier lifestyle, while the remaining comments consisted of neutral responses and criticism. These findings suggest that strategically managed health communication through TikTok can broaden public awareness of health-related matters. This study also identified potential adverse effects of social media use, including the circulation of misinformation and misinterpretation of health messages when content is not delivered responsibly. The findings confirm that TikTok can serve as an effective health communication medium when supported by appropriate, ethical, and digital literacy-based communication strategies. The study carries practical implications for health practitioners, content creators, and policymakers seeking to utilize social media as a channel for public health education.

Abstract

Electronic voting improves election efficiency yet continues to face trust-related concerns stemming from centralization and the potential for data manipulation. This study develops a web-based e-voting system integrated with the Ethereum blockchain to strengthen security and transparency. The system employs Solidity smart contracts, Ganache for local network simulation, Truffle, MetaMask, and MySQL. Development follows the Waterfall model, with unit testing and black-box testing conducted as part of the verification process. Testing was carried out using 10 simulation accounts on the Ganache network. The results demonstrate a 100% success rate across all functional scenarios, in which a total of 27 votes were recorded in real-time on the verified latest block height without any transaction failure. This implementation advances immutability and auditability; however, cost analysis reveals a dependency on fluctuating gas fees should the system be deployed on the public mainnet

Abstract

The need for reliable internet connectivity in educational environments is crucial, but is often hampered by inefficient network infrastructure. This study aims to design an optimal Fiber To The Room (FTTR) network topology design based on Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) at SMK NU Ma'arif Kudus, focusing on the efficiency of fiber optic cable installation routes. The research method used is engineering design with a quantitative approach, where the school architectural plan is modeled into a weighted graph. Route optimization is carried out by implementing the Dijkstra Algorithm to find the shortest path from the center node (ODC) to all node termination points (ODP). While node I (ODC) is designated as the starting node because it functions as the network distribution center. The calculation process is carried out by determining the minimum distance from the starting node to all destination nodes (ODP). The calculation results show that the shortest path is divided into two main routes, namely I to C to B to A to D to E and I to F to G to H. The selection of this node is proven to be able to produce a more efficient total distance compared to direct paths in several network segments. Based on these results, it can be concluded that Dijkstra's algorithm is effective in fiber optic network planning because it can optimally determine the path with the minimum distance. The application of this method is expected to assist in decision-making regarding fiber optic network infrastructure planning, making it more efficient and applicable for implementation in school environments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse how detik.com constructs cultural reality in its coverage of the film Jumbo. The study was conducted because mass media plays a significant role in shaping public understanding of the film. The  media not only conveys factual information but also constructs cultural reality. Using the Reality Construction Theory of Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann, this study maps three main phases of news coverage: pre-screening, screening, and post-screening. With 34 articles as research objects, data were collected through articles published between February 13 and April 30, 2025. With a qualitative approach, content analysis was used to identify news units, dominant narratives, themes, and interpretations of meaning and symbols. The results showed that the externalization process occurs through the promotional narrative and representation of Jumbo as a national film. Objectivation is realized through the strengthening of success symbols, such as viewers, symbolic awards, and comparisons with other popular films. The internalization process is formed through the collective image of Jumbo as a representation of the successful national animation industry. Explicitly, the media framed the film Jumbo as an achievement of the national film industry, and implicitly, the narrative strengthened the construction of Indonesia’s popular culture.
