Abstract

The importance of obtaining legal protection of intellectual property rights (IPR) through the registering of creations is yet to be prioritized by univesities in Indonesia. By inviting lecturers to provide understanding, knowledge, and implementation requirements in this IPR registration, the Research Office of Prasetiya Mulya University's School of Business and Economics started the implementation of discussions and socialization of IPR management. Through a qualitative approach by analyzing the activities of virtual discussions, this community service activity seeks to encourage the awareness of stakeholders in higher education to manage intellectual property rights. The benefits of this community service activity ranged from increased teacher awareness and expertise to handling record-keeping concerns, the requirement for assistance in patent preparation, and collaboration procedures with third parties.

Abstract

One of the manifestations of humans in socializing is someone who is educated and is able to interact and create a new culture by having global insight. Awareness of the academic community about the importance of interaction with villagers in counseling and social service in the Cisarua area is the goal of this Community Service (PKM) activity. The Cisarua Village is one of the tourist areas in Bogor Regency. The method used in the direct approach, is survey, lecture/counseling, discussion, and evaluation. The activity step begins with students going directly to the field, interviewing villagers, and providing education, technology, and English education. Selina provides social assistance. The activity was carried out in Cisarua village, Bogor Regency, West Java. Through this PkM, participants/citizens who attend can increase motivation in technology education by mastering English, this makes it easier to interact with domestic and foreign tourists in the Industrial 4.0 era

Abstract

This research was conducted in Gilangharjo Village, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, one of many potential areas in Yogyakarta to become a historical tourism village. The study is descriptive qualitative research that was conducted through four stages including observation, interview, data analysis, and research report. The data collection techniques included interviews, documentation, and recording. The literature study is taken to support the research. The results of this study are a design of a historical tourism village based on community empowerment that can be applied in the village of Gilangharjo through several ways of enhancing the human and natural resources. The project can be done by maximizing its potential, namely; (1) cultural tourism, (2) historical tourism, (3) entertainment tourism, (4) culinary tourism. It is necessary to improve the infrastructure that supports tourism in each place that can be visited. The empowerment of the Gilangharjo village community can be maximized by holding tourism village training.

Abstract

The small industrial sector is one alternative form to support economic growth in long-term development in Indonesia. Development of an industry must be supported by cooperation between industries in an effort to increase the volume of production. This research was conducted in Ketawang Village, Dolopo Subdistrict, Madiun Regency. Devotional activities are carried out with research-based aimed at increasing the volume of tempeh chips production in Ketawang, Madiun regency. The method used in this devotion is the ABCD method which consists of inculturation, discovery, design, define, and reflection activities. Data is collected through interview methods, observations and documentation. The results of the analysis obtained from the results of the study said that the taste variant on the product has a significant influence on the increase in production volume and economic growth in small industries, which can help the economy in Ketawang because of the main constraints of the lack of income of these chips, namely due to the lack of production volume. Sektor industri kecil merupakan salah satu bentuk alternatif untuk mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi dalam pembangunan jangka panjang di Indonesia. Perkembangan suatu industri harus didukung dengan kerjasama antar industri dalam upaya meningkatkan volume produksi. Pengabdian dilakukan di Desa Ketawang, Kecamatan Dolopo, Kabupaten Madiun. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan dengan berbasis penelitian yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan volume produksi keripik tempe di Ketawang, Kabupaten Madiun. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah metode ABCD yang terdiri dari kegiatan inkulturasi, discovery, design, define, dan reflection. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan adanya inovasi varian rasa dan pengemasan pada produk dapat memberikan sumbangan terhadap peningkatan volume produksi dan pertumbuhan ekonomi pada industri kecil, sehingga dapat membantu perekonomian di Ketawang dari kurangnya pendapatan keripik tempe ini, yaitu kurangnya inovasi pada produk.

Abstract

Upaya pencegahan penyebaran Covid-19 adalah dengan menerapkan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat, salah satunya dengan rajin mencuci tangan dengan sabun. Kegiatan mencuci tangan dengan sabun dan air maupun menggunakan cairan pembersih tangan (hand sanitizer) dapat membunuh virus dan bakteri. Alat pencuci tangan yang tersedia pada fasilitas umum di daerah pedesaan masih terbatas dan biasanya masih membutuhkan kontak tangan agar alat beroperasi. Pembuatan tempat hand sanitizer dengan sistem pedal pijak sebagai teknologi tepat guna yang dapat digunakan oleh masyarakat tanpa disentuh dengan tangan (touchless) diharapkan dapat membantu mencegah penularan Covid-19 khususnya di tempat ibadah seperti halnya masjid maupun musala. Tempat hand sanitizer sistem pedal pijak ini dibuat dan didedikasikan untuk warga yang melakukan ibadah di Musala Baiturrohim desa Candinegoro kecamatan Wonoayu kabupaten Sidoarjo Jawa Timur. Wawancara dilakukan kepada warga setempat untuk mengetahui manfaat yang dirasakan terhadap alat yang telah dibuat. Hasil wawancara menyebutkan bahwa warga merasa terbantu dengan adanya tempat hand sanitizer sistem pedal pijak ini karena dapat mempermudah warga yang melakukan ibadah dalam menjaga kebersihan diri. Pembuatan teknologi tepat guna ini diharapkan dapat menumbuhkan kesadaran warga setempat tentang pentingnya menjaga kebersihan diri dengan sering membersihkan tangan guna memutus penyebaran Covid-19 dan mewujudkan masyarakat desa yang sehat.

Abstract

This community service aimed to provide health education to change the folk’s perception regarding coughing and sneezing and to equip them with ethics of cough and sneezing. Moreover, this program also intended to give insight into utilizing herbal in relieving cough. The community service was conducted using door-to-door counseling method at the community of RT 02, RW 09, Kelurahan Bina Widya, Kecamatan Tampan, Pekanbaru. The information on the causes of cough and sneeze was given to the community by using a leaflet. Furthermore, the community was given insight into several herbals that can be used as a cough reliever and the composition of the herbal drink. Simultaneously. The community service with interactive education socialization was successfully done as desired. Society considered that the delivered education was significantly beneficial to be applied regularly. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendidikan kesehatan dalam mengubah persepsi masyarakat serta menerapkan etika batuk dan bersin. Selain itu, pengabdian ini juga bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan terkait pemanfaatan herbal yang terdapat di sekitar sebagai pereda batuk. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan metode penyuluhan dari rumah ke rumah di RT 02, RW 09, Kelurahan Bina Widya, Kecamatan Tampan, Pekanbaru. Warga diberikan informasi terkait penyebab batuk dan bersin serta etika yang benar dengan pemberian leaflet. Masyarakat juga diberikan pengetahuan mengenai herbal yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pereda batuk beserta komposisi yang tepat. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian dalam bentuk sosialisasi edukasi secara interaktif berjalan dengan sangat baik sesuai target yang diharapkan. Masyarakat yang telah mendapatkan sosialisasi edukasi dapat memahami informasi baru yang sangat bermanfaat, dapat menerapkan etika batuk dan bersin yang benar, serta mampu memanfaatkan herbal dari bahan masakan rumahan untuk penanganan/pereda batuk.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to gain a better understanding of residents' personal concerns about improper plastic disposal and to give voice to their thoughts about the Toledo City Government's prospective ideas and approaches for minimizing the city's plastic pollution. Residents of Magdugo, Toledo City, Cebu, Philippines, have been subjected to increasing levels of plastic pollution. The vast number of discarded plastic items that eventually end up in canals, drainage systems, and city streets, generating flooding that poses a severe challenge in agriculture, health, and sanitation. According to the findings, the city's inefficient waste management system has resulted in a massive accumulation of durable plastics. Toledo City, on the other hand, has improved waste management, restored cleanliness, and minimized the environmental effect of plastics through regulatory initiatives. The majority of citizens in Toledo City have enthusiastically embraced the city's ordinance prohibiting the use of plastic bags. Plastic bag littering has been shown to decrease throughout the city, resulting in a cleaner and healthier environment. The city's achievement might serve as a model for other places that have yet to abolish plastic bags. As a result of a cleaner and healthier environment, people have become more productive, and tourists have returned to the city, contributing to the city's economic growth. Policy management in the reduction of plastic pollution.

Abstract

Wagir Kidul Village is located in Pulung District, Ponorogo Regency, where most of the population has a livelihood as farmers and dairy farmers. The productivity of cow's milk from dairy milking is in the range of 7 to 9 liters for one cow. The problem faced by farmers in Wagir Kidul Village is that they always follow the collectors where the selling price of cow's milk can change every day, sometimes it is priced erratically, which can be Rp. 6,000, - sometimes up to Rp. 10,000, - for each liter. The purpose of this service is to empower cattle farmers through training in making flavored milk products. The service method used is the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) method. Products resulting from the manufacture of flavored milk variants have a better taste and higher economic value because they provide an alternative taste for buyers. The conclusion of this service is that the training carried out is able to increase the knowledge and creativity of cow breeders in processing ordinary fresh milk into milk variants that are economically feasible. Desa Wagir Kidul terletak di Kecamatan Pulung, Kabupaten Ponorogo. Sebagian besar penduduknya bekerja sebagai petani dan peternak sapi perah. Produktivitas perahan susu sapi sekitar tujuh hingga sembilan liter untuk satu ekor sapi pada setiap harinya. Masalah yang dihadapi peternak Desa Wagir Kidul adalah selalu mengikuti harga pengepul di mana harga jual susu sapi yang tidak stabil. Peternak hanya mendapat harga jual Rp6.000,00 atau Rp10.000,00 untuk setiap liternya. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah pemberdayaan peternak sapi melalui pelatihan pembuatan produk susu dengan berbagai varian rasa. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan adalah metode Asset Based Community Development (ABCD). Produk hasil dari pembuatan susu varian rasa memiliki cita rasa lebih baik dan nilai ekonomi yang lebih tinggi karena menyediakan alternatif pilihan rasa bagi pembeli. Simpulan dari pengabdian ini adalah pelatihan yang dilaksanakan mampu menambah pengetahuan dan kreativitas peternak sapi dalam mengolah susu segar menjadi susu varian rasa yang bernilai ekonomi tinggi.

Abstract

The purpose of community service by mentoring and coaching in socio-religious contexts for Muslims with visually impaired or blind disabilities in Manado city is to increase the spirit of religiosity and social lives. This community service activity was held at the Indonesian Muslim Disabilities Visibility Association office in Manado city from June to December 2021, employing the Asset Based Community Development method, prioritizing the utilization of existing assets and potential owned by them. As a result, there is an increase in knowledge in prayer practice. They can now implement fiqh thaharah and Janazah prayer practices well and perfectly. They also now can socialize by benefiting others, especially their readiness to be hosts or MCs, readers of the Qur'an, and preachers, beyond the skills they already have had. There were also jointly formulated by the program organizers and participants three follow-up solutions: continuous mental strengthening, a rapid environment learning, and constantly improving the special skills they have learned. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan pendampingan dan pembinaan dalam konteks sosial keagamaan bagi tunanetra Muslim di kota Manado adalah untuk meningkatkan semangat keagamaan dan kehidupan sosial mereka. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di kantor Ikatan Tunanetra Muslim Indonesia di kota Manado pada bulan Juni hingga Desember 2021 dengan metode Asset Based Community Development yang mengutamakan pemanfaatan aset yang ada dan potensi yang telah dimiliki. Alhasil, terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dalam amalan shalat. Mereka kini dapat melaksanakan amalan fiqh thaharah dan shalat Janazah dengan baik dan sempurna. Mereka juga kini bisa bersosialisasi dengan memberi manfaat bagi orang lain, terutama kesiapan mereka menjadi pembawa acara atau MC, pembaca Al-Qur'an, dan khatib, di luar keterampilan yang sudah mereka miliki sebelumnya. Ada pula tiga solusi tindak lanjut yang dirumuskan bersama oleh penyelenggara program dan peserta: penguatan mental terus-menerus, pembelajaran lingkungan yang cepat, dan terus-menerus meningkatkan keterampilan khusus yang telah mereka pelajari.

Abstract

Pernikahan dalam perspektif hukum Islam ataupun hukum positif merupakan sebuah hal sakral yang harus dilaksanakan dengan sebaik-baiknya, terdapat beberapa syarat yang harus dipenuhi sebagai bentuk seleksi atau tingkat kepantasan seseorang untuk layak melangsungkan pernikahan. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini berupaya untuk menggali faktor-faktor apa saja yang dapat ditimbulkan atau terjadi akibat adanya edukasi pra nikah, serta dalam pandangan hukum positif ataupun hukum Islam. Metode penelitian ini merupakan studi literatur dengan mengumpulkan berbagai data yang berhubungan dengan kasus pernikahan usia muda atau pernikahan dini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan setidaknya terdapat 3 poin mendasar yang harus disiapkan oleh seseorang, atau menjadi dasar dari edukasi pra nikah yaitu kesiapan fisik, kesiapan mental, dan kesiapan ekonomi seseorang. Ketiganya menjadi kesiapan mendasar yang harus disiapkan oleh seseorang sebelum melangsungkan pernikahan. Faktor-faktor tersebut jika tidak terpenuhi juga berpotensi mengakibatkan kasus perceraian, sehingga penting untuk dicermati sebagai bentuk antisipasi untuk menjaga keharmonisan dalam sebuah hubungan.
