Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Influence of Financial Compensation, Non-Physical Work Environment, and Soft Skills on Employee Performance through Organizational Commitment as an Intervening Variable at Mercu Buana University, Jakarta. Data analysis was conducted through several tests, including the outer model measurement test (validity and reliability test), structural model test (R square, Path Coefficient, F-Square, Q-Square, Multicollinearity Test (VIF), Multiple and Simple Linear Regression Analysis), and hypothesis testing. The population of this study consisted of all non-teaching staff (non-lecturer employees) at Mercu Buana University, both permanent and contract employees, totaling 381 people, with a sample size of 150. Hypothesis testing in this study used the T-test with the provision that if the T-statistic value is greater than 1.979 and the P-value is less than 0.05, then the independent variable has a significant effect on the dependent variable. The results showed that Financial Compensation and Soft Skills have a positive and significant effect on Organizational Commitment and Employee Performance. Non-Physical Work Environment has a positive but not significant effect on Organizational Commitment and has a non-significant negative effect on Employee Performance. Through Organizational Commitment, Financial Compensation and Soft Skills have a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance, while Non-Physical Work Environment has a positive but not significant effect on Employee Performance.

Abstract

The purpose of the establishment of the company is to maximize wealth for shareholders. The increase in shareholder and company wealth is represented by firm value. The higher the firm value, the higher the wealth of shareholders. The increase in shareholder wealth through increasing firm value is influenced by several factors, including how efficiently the company is managing its resources. The use of information technology (IT) is believed to increase firm efficiency. The rapid increase in the total confirmed cases and the COVID-19 pandemic affected not only health conditions but also gradually led to a global crisis that affected almost every country around the world. Amid increasing uncertainty during the COVID-19 pandemic, firm efficiency is needed by companies to survive. This study aims to determine the effect of firm efficiency on firm value. This research was conducted on companies listed on the IDX for the period 2017-2021. This study uses moderating variables in the form of Information Technology (IT) investment and the Covid-19 pandemic. It also uses control variables consisting of company size, financial leverage, and cash holding. The results of this study showed that IT investment has a significant negative effect on firm efficiency. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant negative effect on firm efficiency. Firm efficiency has a positive effect on firm value. This study also finds that IT investment weakens the relationship between firm efficiency and firm value, and the Covid-19 pandemic strengthens the relationship between firm efficiency and firm value.

Abstract

Generation Z (Gen Z), who grew up in the digital age, faces unique financial challenges. Despite having widespread access to financial technology, their financial literacy is not necessarily in line with technological skills. The development of a cashless society affects the way Gen Z interacts with money, which while it can make transactions easier, also requires a better understanding to control spending. This study aims to understand the complex relationship between Gen Z's financial literacy, cashless society, financial behavior, and financial satisfaction. This study uses a quantitative method with a PLS-SEM approach and data collection using a questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that of the seven hypotheses, one hypothesis is not significant, while the other six are significant. Where financial literacy has no positive and significant effect on financial satisfaction, a cashless society has a positive and significant effect on financial satisfaction, financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on financial behavior, cashless society has a positive and significant effect on financial behavior, financial behavior has a positive and significant effect on financial satisfaction. Where in the mediation test financial behavior becomes a full mediator in the relationship between financial literacy and financial satisfaction but becomes a partial mediator in the influence of cashless society on financial satisfaction.

Abstract

Intellectual Capital is a part of intangible assets that companies can leverage to create a competitive advantage. This research aims to examine the influence of IC (capital employed, human capital, structural capital efficiency) on financial performance with firm size as a controlling variable in manufacturing companies. The research employs an associative quantitative research method. The sample in this study consists of manufacturing companies listed on the IDX during the period 2020-2022, with a total sample of 51 companies. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. This research utilizes secondary data from the website www.idx.com. The analysis technique involves multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 25 software. The results of this research indicate that VACA and VAHU have a positive and significant effect on Financial Performance (ROE). Meanwhile, STVA and firm size as control variables do not exhibit a significant effect on financial performance (ROE). Previous research has identified relationships between these factors; however, this study strengthens understanding by exploring deeper complexities within them. Thus, this research makes a significant contribution to enriching the literature on company financial performance and IC.
