Abstract

The high backlog gap between the number of houses built and the housing needs of low-income communities (MBR), limited land, and lack of budget, are problems faced by the local government in providing housing for MBR in Bandung City. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the implementation of the policy of providing housing for MBR in Bandung City along with supporting and inhibiting factors, and to formulate a model for implementing housing policies for MBR. The study used a qualitative research design with a descriptive method. Primary data were collected through interviews with key informants at the Bandung City Housing and Settlement Service, non-participant observation, and secondary data were collected through documentation studies. The analysis technique used descriptive analysis techniques including data condensation, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study are as follows: 1) The policy of providing housing for MBR is not yet optimal which is not supported by the availability of budget resources, limited human resources and inadequate equipment facilities; 2) Policy implementation is supported by regional regulations, support from the central government and the private sector, and cooperation between the government and public agencies (KPBU), while the inhibiting factors are limited budget, limited land, high land prices, community rejection, and urbanization; 3) The implementation model of the housing provision policy for MBR in Bandung City (“Masagi Policy Implementation Model”) was formulated by researchers, with the novelty of adjustments to the normative basis of the policy, funding scheme, development implementers, supervision, and recommendations for the use of state land with the HGB scheme. In addition, the novelty of the model is the need for leadership and sustainability in the dimensions of the policy implementation model that will increase the effectiveness of housing provision for MBR.

Abstract

User Experience (UX) design plays a crucial role in the success of e-commerce websites. This research analyzes the impact of UX design on visitor conversion rates through a literature review of six reference papers. The analysis results show that UX elements such as intuitive navigation, website loading speed, responsive design, content personalization, and ease of checkout significantly positively affect conversion rates. Poor UX, indicated by high bounce rates and high exit rates, hinders conversion, while good UX increases user engagement and encourages repeat purchases. Additionally, the referenced studies emphasize the importance of understanding user demographics and selecting the appropriate e-commerce platform to design a more personalized and effective user experience. These findings provide strong evidence that investment in UX is highly valuable for e-commerce businesses, helping to increase conversions, build stronger customer loyalty, and achieve long-term success in the digital world.

Abstract

This research aims to identify leading sectors and analyze their impact on poverty reduction efforts in Tual City. This study uses quantitative methods using Location Quotient (LQ) analysis, Shift Share Analysis (SSA), Specialization Index (SI), and Klassen Typology, followed by multiple regression analysis to see the relationship between leading sectors and poverty rate. This study uses secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) for the period 2019-2023. The results show that Tual City has six basic sectors: Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries (LQ 1.55-1.62); Construction; Wholesale and Retail Trade; Real Estate; Educational Services; and Health Services and Social Activities. The fisheries subsector shows a particular advantage, reflecting Tual's geographical advantage as an island city. Shift-share analysis shows that these sectors exhibit competitive advantage and positive growth patterns. This study concludes that the strategic development of these leading sectors, particularly the maritime-based economy, can contribute significantly to poverty alleviation in Tual City. The findings provide valuable insights for regional development planning and poverty alleviation strategies.

This study aims to test the role of locally-generated revenue in mediating the influence of credit distribution on economic growth in East Java. The research population was all cities and districts in East Java, and all of them were studied. The method used is the structural equation model and the Sobel Test to test its mediation role. Data from 38 cities and districts during 2018-2022 were processed using Eviews 12. The results of this study indicate that the distribution of working capital, investment and consumer credit has a positive and significant effect on economic growth in East Java. The distribution of working capital, investment and consumer credit does not have a significant influence on locally-generated revenue. Locally-generated revenue also does not have a significant influence on economic growth, so locally-generate revenue is also unable to mediate the positive influence of the credit distribution on economic growth in East Java.
