Abstract

Zeolit alam Bayah Activated (ZeOavd) and Carnel shell  activated carbon using pretretment with hidrogen peroxide (KATKS/H2O2) are porous materials for application multimedia filters in river water treatment. The purpose of this study to reduce turbidity and total coliform in the Cibanten River using ZeOavd and KATKS/H2O2. Sampel of Cibanten River flowing at 100 ml per minute into the KATKS/H2O2 filter tank and then flows into the ZeOavd material. Sampling was carried out 5 minutes after overflow for turbidity and total coliform analysis. The best results were checked until 5 to 120 minutes in range of 15 minute . The best results showed of  Cibanten River water contacted with 2 kg of KATKS/H2O2 and 2 kg of ZeOavd was able to reduce total coliform from 240 MPN/100 mL to 0 240 MPN/100 mL. In addition, it was able to reduce turbidity from 57.1 NTU to 1.60 NTU. Keywords : Cibanten River; Zeolite; KATKS; Tubidity and Total Coliform .

Abstract

PT XYZ Merupakan sebuah perusahaan manufaktur komponen otomotif asal Jepang yang ada di Jababeka yang telah berdiri sejak Mei 2011. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk perbaikan perancangan layout, serta perbandingan jarak dan biaya pengeluaran untuk material handling antara tata letak yang ada dengan tata letak yang diusulkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode software BLOCPLAN dan ARC untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan yang berkaitan dengan penataan fasilitas, termasuk kedekatan hubungan antar area, kebutuhan luas ruang, serta jarak perpindahan material, biaya material handling, dan hasil tata letak akhir. Dari hasil analisis yang dilakukan, diketahui bahwa biaya material handling pada tata letak yang lama mencapai Rp 89.571.268, dengan jarak perpindahan material mencapai 1.023.696 meter per bulan. Sementara itu, setelah penerapan metode BLOCPLAN pada tata letak yang diusulkan, ditemukan pengurangan biaya material handling menjadi Rp 61.068.518, dengan jarak perpindahan material sebesar 694.389,2 meter per bulan. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa penghematan biaya ongkos material handling sebesar 31,80%.

Abstract

This PT XC CLEANINDO is a manufacturing startup that provides cleaning and sanitation needs. The mixing and packing process in this company has less ergonomic work postures and facilities. Based on the Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire, operators often feel pain in several parts of the body due to non-ideal working postures, especially repeated bending positions during the mixing process which can trigger back injuries. Postural analysis using the REBA and QEC methods showed a high risk score (REBA: 8, QEC: 61.36%). To reduce this risk, it is recommended to modify the manual lift table according to Indonesian anthropometric data. After improvement, the REBA score dropped to 3, indicating significant improvement in working posture, especially in the operator's neck and back. This implementation is expected to increase productivity and worker health.

Abstract

Environmental pollution due to textile industry waste, especially synthetic dye waste, has become increasingly widespread and has become a serious concern in recent decades. Dyes such as Metanil Yellow are often found polluting waters, causing adverse impacts on ecosystems and human health due to their toxic and difficult-to-decompose nature. This study aims to identify the characteristics of hydrogels made from kepok banana peels in absorbing and degrading Metanil Yellow dye. The research methods used include organoleptic tests to determine the physical characteristics of the hydrogel, water absorption tests to measure the capacity of the hydrogel to absorb liquids, and dye degradation tests using a UV-Vis Spectrophotometer to determine the effectiveness of the hydrogel in absorbing Metanil Yellow dye. The results showed that the hydrogel had a smooth texture, had the highest water absorption capacity of 81.30% hydrogel with the addition of 0.6 grams of Sodium Tripolyphosphate, and the highest degradation of Metanil Yellow dye, which was 46.95% at a concentration of 10 ppm. %. Hydrogels made from kepok banana peels have the potential to be used as absorbers of Metanil Yellow dye.

Abstract

Selecting the right smartphone is a challenge for consumers due to the wide variety of product alternatives and the complexity of evaluation criteria such as price, technical specifications, and additional features. To address this issue, a systematic approach is needed through a Decision Support System (DSS) based on Multi-Attribute Decision Making (MADM) methods. This study aims to compare the results of smartphone selection using three MADM methods: SMART (Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique), VIKOR (VIšekriterijumsko KOmpromisno Rangiranje), and MAUT (Multi Attribute Utility Theory). Smartphone alternatives were evaluated using six main criteria: price, battery capacity, camera quality, performance (RAM and processor), additional features, and 5G support. Each method was applied independently to generate a final ranking of the best smartphone. This research resulted in 1). A3 (Vivo V40 5G) with a value of 0.850 according to the SMART method, 2). A1 (Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra) with a value of 0 according to the VIKOR method, and 3). A1 (Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra) with a value of 0.925 according to the MAUT method. The results show variations in ranking across the three methods, indicating differences in their calculation approaches and sensitivity to weight distribution. This study provides a comprehensive analysis of the strengths and limitations of each method and highlights their relevance in supporting rational and need-based smartphone purchasing decisions. The findings can serve as a valuable reference for developers of recommendation systems and for consumers in making more informed choices.

Abstract

The User Service Needs Application (USNA) was developed by ISP-X to support the efficiency and effectiveness of internet customer service (subscriber). The main function of this application is to support company employees in managing customer history, ticketing, installation and provisioning as well as pre-/post-sales activities quickly and accurately. However, several crucial issues were found such as frequent errors, disconnections, high latency, and a confusing interface display, which triggered customer complaints and internal work constraints. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the user experience of the USNA application to support design and functionality improvements. The methodology used is the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) with six assessment aspects: Attractiveness, Clarity (Perspicuity), Efficiency (Efficiency), Dependability (Dependability), Stimulation (Stimulation), and Novelty (Novelty), accompanied by open-ended questions. A total of 135 respondents provided feedback through a Likert-based questionnaire and open-ended questions, resulting in a total of >700 qualitative statements. The results showed the highest score for the Attractiveness aspect (mean: 0.23) and the lowest for Simulation and Efficiency (0.10), indicating the need for better response time and work improvement. This research aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) regarding infrastructure and innovation, as well as decent work and economic growth.

Abstract

Currently, petroleum is a main energy source used to meet the world’s needs. However, petroleum is an energy that has the potential to decrease over time. Besides that, sunlight can be used to reduce petroleum energy consumption. Solar energy is a form of renewable energy. Dye Sentisized Solar Cell (DSSC) is a technology for converting light energy into electricity. However, the efficiency value obtained from DSSC is still small. A lot of research related to DSSC has been carried out. In the period 2020-2024, there were 59 articles related to DSSC on Google Scholar which had more than 36 citations. The most articles related to DSSC were published in 2021, namely 22 articles. Meanwhile, the highest number of citations for articles related to DSSC was in 2020, namely 2424 citations. The research topic that has been widely developed is modification of light-sensitizing substances in DSSCs. The review result combination of superior modifications that have been successfully carried out by previous research on each component in the DSSC is expected to increase efficiency value to meet the world's energy needs.

Abstract

The SMArt LMS platform is a strategic infrastructure implemented by the Directorate of Senior High Schools to support the digitalization of education in Indonesia. This study aims to evaluate user acceptance and experience of SMArt LMS using an integration of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and qualitative descriptive analysis. Data were collected from 1,718 participants of the Technical Guidance (Bimtek) program across nine regions. Quantitative analysis showed high reliability for the instruments, with Cronbach’s Alpha values exceeding 0.60, specifically 0.966 for the Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) construct. Qualitative triangulation revealed that discussion features and Follow-up Plan (RTL) instructions significantly assisted material comprehension. However, technical aspects such as access stability across various devices still require optimization. This research provides strategic recommendations for platform managers to develop LMS features that are more adaptive and aligned with the digital ecosystem in high school environments.

Abstract

Quality control is a crucial aspect of the manufacturing industry to ensure product conformity with standards and to reduce the defect rate. This study aims to analyze quality control on Weld and Nut products at PT XYZ using the Statistical Quality Control(SQC) method with the Seven Tools approach. This includes the use of tools such as check sheets, histograms, scatter diagrams, control charts, Pareto diagrams, stratification, and fishbone diagrams. The data analyzed covered production from November 2024 to January 2025, with a total of 8,478,678 parts produced and 428 defective products identified. The analysis revealed that the dominant types of defects were kizu, kashiri, burry, and dia out spec. Control chart and Pareto analysis indicated that human and machine factors were the primary causes of product non-conformities. Improvement recommendations include enhanced process supervision, operator training, and machine setting adjustments. The application of the SQC method effectively identified root causes and provided concrete recommendations to improve product quality at PT XYZ.

Abstract

Ciptaunggul Karya Abadi is a private company engaged in the Manufacturing of Metal Stamping Parts, Tools and Dies. In the face of fierce industry competition, the consistency of product quality is a determining factor for competitiveness. The high rate of product defects is a major concern for companies as it impacts cost, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the effect of the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) on reducing the level of product defects. The method used was a case study with data collection through direct observation, interviews with stakeholders, and document analysis over a period of four months. The results show that the application of TQM elements such as customer focus, obsession with quality, scientific approach, long-term commitment, teamwork, continuous system improvement, education and training, controlled freedom, unity of purpose, and employee involvement and empowerment have a significant effect in reducing product defects. The implementation of TQM is also able to create a better quality culture in the production environment. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that PT. Ciptaunggul Karya Abadi has implemented all elements of Total Quality Management (TQM) as an effort to improve product quality and reduce the level of defects, but the implementation is not fully optimal. Therefore, it can also be concluded that Total Quality Management (TQM) is an effective strategic approach to improve product quality in a sustainable manner.
