Abstract

Groundwater from the Klawas area, Muara Enim, South Sumatra, at a depth of approximately ?110 m, exhibits a reddish-brown coloration, indicating high concentrations of iron (Fe) and manganese (Mn). Preliminary analysis showed that the water quality did not meet the clean water standards stipulated in Regulation of the Indonesian Ministry of Health (Permenkes) No. 2 of 2023, as indicated by a turbidity of 30.1 NTU, TDS of 18.6 mg/L, Fe concentration of 3.5 mg/L, Mn concentration of 0.55 mg/L, and the presence of E. coli (25 MPN/100 mL) and total coliform (5 MPN/100 mL). Water treatment was conducted using a Continuous Electrochemical Clarifier (CEC) with a capacity of 3 m?/h, consisting of three main stages: aeration as primary treatment, an electrochemical clarifier to reduce turbidity and TDS, and silica filtration followed by electrodisinfection to remove pathogenic microorganisms. The Continuous Electrochemical Clarifier (CEC) system proved effective in treating groundwater from Klawas into clean water that complies with Permenkes No. 23 of 2017 and Permenkes No. 02 of 2023. The aeration unit reduced iron and manganese concentrations to <0.001 mg/L and <0.1 mg/L, respectively, while the clarifier operated at an optimum dose of 350 Farad and the filtration unit reduced turbidity and TDS to <0.001 ? 0.01 NTU and 12.50 ? 0.10 mg/L. In addition, the electrodisinfection unit successfully eliminated E. coli and total coliform to 0 MPN/100 mL.

Abstract

The development of digital payment systems has driven the increasing use of electronic money (e-money) in Indonesia. However, the level of adoption and sustainability of its use are greatly influenced by user experience. This study aims to analyze the influence of user experience on the intention to use e-money through a quantitative approach with a survey method of 100 e-money users. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Cronbach's Alpha reliability tests, and simple linear regression. The results showed that the user experience and intention to use instruments had very good reliability with Cronbach's Alpha values of 0.879 and 0.886, respectively. Regression analysis showed that user experience had a positive and significant effect on the intention to use e-money (β = 1.399; p < 0.001), with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.684. These findings indicate that user experience is an important factor in explaining variations in the intention to use e-money. Aspects of ease of use, convenience, and user satisfaction have been shown to play a role in increasing the adoption and sustainability of e-money use. The research results are expected to be a reference for application developers and stakeholders in improving the quality of e-money services.

Abstract

The homogenizer is one of the critical machines in the NonDairy Creamer production process due to its role in producing stable and uniform emulsions. Frequent failures in the homogenizer can increase downtime and reduce production effectiveness. This study aimed to identify critical components causing downtime, determine appropriate maintenance strategies using the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) approach, and evaluate the impact of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) implementation on homogenizer reliability at PT CRM. The research methods included downtime analysis, calculation of Mean Time To Failure (MTTF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Logic Tree Analysis (LTA), and the development of maintenance strategies based on RCM integrated with TPM. The results showed that the homogenizer contributed 2,007 minutes or 69% of total production downtime. The most critical component was the plunger gasket with a Risk Priority Number (RPN) of 504. The implementation of the proposed maintenance strategy reduced downtime by 69%, decreased failure frequency by 67%, increased MTTF from 4,623.75 minutes to 13,871.25 minutes, and reduced MTTR from 83.63 minutes to 76.25 minutes. These findings indicate that the integration of RCM and TPM effectively improves homogenizer reliability and supports sustainable production performance.

Abstract

This study at PT RRC aims to address the high volume of defective opaque cereal products using the Six Sigma (DMAIC) approach, combined with RCA and FMEA. Pareto analysis revealed that tough texture was the most dominant defect, contributing 70% of total defects. The initial process capability was 3.21 Sigma (DPMO 43,400). RCA and FMEA identified the root cause as manual water volume measurement based on the operator's visual estimation (RPN 448). As a solution, a semi-automatic digital flow meter system was installed. Consequently, the defect dropped to 2,575 kg/month, the RPN decreased to 128, and the process capability significantly improved to 4.28 Sigma (DPMO 2,720). This IDR 15,736,000 investment successfully saved the company IDR 329,460,000 per month

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence students' decisions in choosing a major in the context of competitive new student admissions, especially in private universities. The study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method through a questionnaire collected online from 201 respondents with a purposive sampling technique. Eleven independent variables were tested, including department accreditation, department reputation, department image, lecturer quality, curriculum, alumni, campus/department facilities, variety of UKM, campus partners, campus location, and job prospects using Multiple Regression Analysis (MRA). The results show a simultaneous significant model (F=12.55; p<0.001) with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.421 and an Adjusted R² of 0.387, indicating that 42.1% of the variation in major selection decisions can be explained by the variables in the model. Partially, the variables of department image (β=0.2235; p=0.028) and curriculum (β=0.1992; p=0.047) had a positive and significant influence on students' decisions in choosing a department, while the other variables did not show a significant influence. This finding indicates that strengthening a positive department image and presenting a relevant curriculum are strategic priorities to increase the attractiveness of a department

Abstract

The traditional market in Surabaya constitutes a critical hub of commercial activity for the local community. However, over time, the physical condition and infrastructure of most traditional market area have markedly declined. Numerous buildings are structurally outdated and fail to comply with current safety and comfort standards. Consequently, the revitalization of the traditional market has become an urgent imperative to enhance market quality and strengthen the local economy. The revitalisation of the traditional market needs many aspects to be decided, including design, construction, and finan-cial aspects during its life cycle. This research studies financial feasibility of the one of traditional market in Surabaya using two alternatives. The finan-cial performance compares cost and benefit estimated over 30 years as its life cycle using parameters of Net Present Value (NPV), Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR), and Payback Period (PP). The study generates negative NPV and BCR < 1 both two alternatives. It indicates that the revitalization is not fea-sible. The project will be feasible if it estimates over 36 years using the sec-ond alternatives. The analysis generates IDR 126.057.465,65 of NPV and BCR value > 1.

Abstract

PT Trafoindo Prima Perkasa is an electrical transformer manufacturing company with an Engineering Design Division as a key part in supporting the production process, especially for CTVT and Dry Type transformers. However, in the period July?December 2024, a delay rate of 14% of the total 2,508 incoming orders was found in Engineering Job Orders (EJO). This study addresses the issue of high mental workload as one of the factors affecting the effectiveness of EJO implementation. The NASA-TLX and RSME methods were used to measure the mental workload of two engineers directly involved in the design process. The measurement results showed that the level of mental workload was in the high category, with NASA-TLX WWL scores of 82 and 88, and RSME scores of 128 and 120. Root cause analysis using a fishbone diagram and the 5W+1H method showed that the main causes of EJO delays included excessive workload, limited personnel, and deadline pressure. Proposed improvements include additional human resources, periodic workload evaluations, and adjustments to work policies. The results of both measurement methods were consistent, indicating a significant impact of mental workload on EJO delays. Abstract

The rapid advancement of Large Language Models (LLMs) has significantly increased the adoption of ChatGPT for various activities, including learning, writing, programming, and information retrieval. The growing number of users has generated a substantial volume of reviews on the Google Play Store, reflecting user experiences, satisfaction levels, and various issues encountered while using the application. This study aimed to analyze the sentiment of ChatGPT application user reviews on the Google Play Store. The method employed was a hybrid approach combining IndoBERT and Support Vector Machine (SVM) on 312 manually labeled and pre-processed reviews. Data pre-processing (n=312) involved _case folding_, _tokenizing_, and _stop word removal_, followed by manual labeling which revealed a sentiment distribution of 64.10% positive, 24.04% negative, and 11.86% neutral. The hybrid IndoBERT-SVM model demonstrated exceptional sentiment classification performance, achieving an accuracy of 93.55%, precision of 92.80%, _recall_ of 93.55%, and an F1-score of 93.17%. This performance significantly surpassed other classification methods; IndoBERT-SVM's accuracy was higher compared to Naïve Bayes (87.00%) and a standalone SVM (92.00%) in comparative studies. This superiority stems from IndoBERT's ability to extract rich semantic and contextual feature representations from Indonesian text, which is then optimized by SVM to find an optimal classification _hyperplane_. This study extends the understanding of applying transformer-based pre-trained language models in multiclass sentiment analysis within the Indonesian language context, showcasing the superiority of the hybrid approach.
