Abstract

Often we heard the word miscarriage or better known as abortion. Abortion is a bad act that is considered to be killing indirectly and is even prohibited by law in Article 75 Paragraph 2 of Law 36/2009 on Health. Although this has been regulated in the Law in Indonesia, there are still many cases of abortion, especially among Indonesian adolescents. One of the reasons abortions occur among adolescents is due to a lack of or minimal knowledge of sex education and the existence of promiscuity without parental supervision. Besides, adolescents do not understand the dangers or impacts of abortion which can affect internal health and even psychologically. Therefore, the action is needed for sex education for adolescents using communication media. Educational videos are made and uploaded on social media as media and campaigns for the anti-abortion movement on various social media. This action is effective because it can be accessed by every age group anytime and anywhere.

Abstract

Community service activities (SEPORA) aim to (1) Generate a sense of awareness from every resident of Sekupang District, Tiban Lama District, Rt01 / Rw01 in disposing garbage neatly (2) Increasing knowledge of Sekupang District residents, Tiban Lama District, Rt01 / Rw01 about sorting out garbage properly and (3) Help facilitate the work of TPS3R in making compost. Achieving these goals is done through socialization, with the method of exposure to concepts, questions and answers, and a direct approach. After the socialization activities were carried out, the implementation team participated in a community program on cleanliness (mutual cooperation) and re-socialization (sticking stickers) to the houses while monitoring and evaluating the level of awareness of the local community. The results show that the SEPORA program is running well and smoothly. This program can increase knowledge and be able to create public awareness about proper waste separation. Constraints that arise vary greatly starting from the rejection of the community, do not want to know, and attitudes that are always blamed can be overcome by the method of direct approach, although not all can accept it. The suggestions and input that can be conveyed from the results of the SEPORA program, the community, and local leaders are expected to have motivation, enthusiasm and to always foster the right sorting activities. The government is expected to start participating in the settlement of existing waste in the community, providing land suitable for landfills and providing adequate BIN facilities. For LPM through TPS3R, the program must always persuade similar programs to continue to run and develop.

Abstract

The spread of the COVID-19 pandemic has hampered the implementation of the education system in Indonesia, one of which is the Vocational High School (SMK) education system in Batam City. Students who initially attended classes at school are now forced to attend them online at home. Online classes certainly carry their own challenges. An example that can be taken from the survey results is that there are still schools whose online learning is not supported by a Learning Management System. This research was conducted by distributing surveys to SMK students and students’ parents, as well as interviews with SMK teachers. The result of this research is to create a website to support online learning for schools that still do not have their own Learning Management System. This website is called V-Lab.
