Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan mulai tanggal 03 Mei 2011 sampai 25 Mei 2011. Lokasi penelitian bertempat di areal PT. Brahma Binabakti Sawit, yang berada di Desa Suko Awin Jaya, Kecamatan Sekernan, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi, Provinsi Jambi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan konsentrasi yang efektif dalam penggunaan herbisida bahan aktif glifosat, dan untuk mengendalikan gulma beringin pada tanaman tanaman kelapa sawit. Untuk mengetahui teknik pengendalian gulma beringin pada tanaman kelapa sawit dengan menggunakan sistem infus akar. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Field Application secara langsung. Konsentrasi larutan herbisida yang diujikan terdiri atas 4 (empat) 4 takaran konsentrasi yaitu : konsentrasi 7% per liter air, konsentrasi 8% per liter air, konsentrasi 9% per liter air dan konsentrasi 10% per liter air. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan terlihat bahwa dari keempat konsentrasi herbisida prima up 480 SL yang efektif dan efisien untuk membasmi gulma beringin pada tanaman kelapa sawit yaitu konsentrasi 8 %. Karena pada konsentrasi 7 % ada bagian gulma yang tidak mati, sedangkan untuk konsentrasi 9 % dan 10 % biaya yang dibutuhkan lebih tinggi.

Abstract

This research discusses the control of throughput in a palm oil mill (POM). The purpose is to find out how the POM throughput conditions and how the losses due to these conditions. This research uses the individual moving range (I-MR) Chart method. Testing is done first with MR-Chart, and revisions will be made if there is an out-of-control condition. Next, testing of throughput conditions with x-Chart will be conducted. If an out-of-control condition occurs, a process capability measurement (Cp) will be carried out. The result showed that the POM studied had poor throughput conditions. To make the existing conditions seem good or very good, tolerance is needed that is beyond the limit of reasonableness. This condition resulted in considerable losses for the company because it had to spend operational cost because there were additional operating hours that should not have happened, even though there were no FFB processed during these additional hours.

Abstract

The best plant media used in early seeding of oil palm is top soil with a thickness of 10 to 30 cm. Top soil is a layer of soil with high organic content, but at present its availability is rarely found so it needs a solution as its replacement. A alternative is to use organic material ash boiler with wood charcoal. This study aims to determine the effect of ash boiler and wood charcoal as a medium to grow against some indicators of oil palm seed growth. This research was conducted from February to May 2017. The experimental design used was a complete randomized design of one factor, namely P0: 100% sub soil (without wood charcoal and boiler ash), P1: 10% ash boiler + 10% charcoal wood + 80% sub soil, P2: 20% ash boiler + 20% wood charcoal + 60% sub soil, P3: 30% ash boiler + 10% charcoal + 60% sub soil, P4: 10% ash boiler + 30% wood charcoal + 60% sub soil. Each treatment was repeated 2 times, so there were 10 experimental units. Each experimental unit consists of 2 samples. The total number of plants is 20 plants. The result of the research shows that the ash of boiler and charcoal have significant effect on the growth of plant morphology (plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves), and plant physiology (boimassa plant), but no significant effect on leaf area parameters.

Abstract

The entrance examination is a limited way to measure one's abilities. Examination is intended to measure the knowledge of a person or student. He growing age of increasingly sophisticated technology or teaching methods is done one of them by means of this web-based online exam, with online examinations we do not need to pay extra to buy paper and spend ink to print. The growing age of increasingly sophisticated technology or teaching methods one of which is done by using this web-based online exam, with online exams we don't need to pay extra to buy paper and spend ink to print. Seeing the conditions above, the author intends to conduct research aimed at providing solutions through the assessment of various theories and observations in the field in order to design a web-based online examination system. The application development methodology that I use is the SDLC method (System Develop Life Cycle) with the waterfall process model until the testing phase. The programming language used is PHP by using MySQL as the database. The result of the research is the creation of an application that can speed up the daily exam process by up to 50% of the original time.

Abstract

This research porpose to determine the effect of the difference in the ratio of addition of Palm Oil Mill Liquid Waste (POMLW) to the C/N ratio of Palm Oil Empty Bunch (POEB) compost with the addition of formula BAR activator at PT Alamraya Kencana Mas, South Kalimantan Province. The method of data collection was conducted through interview with informants who knew the field of POEB composting, observation to the POEB composting area, and literature review in the form of a daily report on the composting process. Based on the study conducted, it was concluded that composting of POEB fiber by the addition of POMLW and Formula BAR activators took 45 days with the process stages, namely: 1) POEB stacking; 2) watering with POMLW; 3) inoculation with activator BAR Formula; 4) reversal with excavator; 5) milling with macerator; and 6) harvesting. The difference in the ratio of POMLW addition has a significant effect on compost maturity as indicated by the C/N ratio.

Abstract

Orchid is the one of largest flower species in the world, especially Phalaenopsis. This research was concern about post in vitro culture to improved planlets vigor. The objective of this study the Phalaenopsis orchid breeding process from tissue culture to enlargement to produce high-value crops. The result of observation showed that treatment H2P2 was the best. Statistic analysis showed that percentage survival rate 95%, lowest amount leaf, lowest height plant, lowest leaf width, lowest length leaf, and highest stomata density, founded in H2P2 treatment. So, can be used H2P2 treament as a recommendation for acclimatization for increasing the vigor planlets of Phalaenopsis amabilis.

Abstract

This research discusses the design of a sounding system that measures the liquid content in a simulation tank, which is a model of a palm oil storage tank. With a heating treatment by the heater to effect temperature changes and the installation of a solenoide valve to give effect to changes in fluid height. The use of ultrasonic sensors (HC-SR04) can be used to test the height level of empty space with a level of accuracy of 1 cm. The use of a temperature sensor (DS18B20) can be effectively used to measure temperature with a small dipped method in liquid. ATMEGA 8538 AVR microcontroller, is able to communicate well with applications built on the Borland Delphi platform, so as to provide comfort and convenience for users to monitor and read the performance of tank contents, both from the level, temperature, density, and tank contents in the form of number and graphic.

Abstract

This reserach purpose to determine the FFA level of production oil when blending with oil from the recovery tank which is the result of blending ex-empty bunch press and fat pit oil. The solution to the problem that arises due to the condition of the FFA is to find an alternative solution, which is to drain the ex-empty bunch press oil in the temporary reservoir. The result showed that the oil FFA content of the production when blending with oil from the recovery tank was 4.72%; while the oil FFA from the recovery tank was 16.22%. FFA levels in the production oil can be reduced to 3.04% after repairs to the ex-empty bunch press oil citation system.

Abstract

Water and nutrient requirements affected Corn growth and development. The essensial role of potassium was found in various plant metabolism aspects such as plant physiology,assimilate transportation and translocation and plant resistances of drought. Sufficient water needed to support plnt growth because excee lack of water can disrupt and inhibit the metabolims process. The research aimed to determine physiological, root systems and biomass of corn plants effected potassium and water deficiency. The research had been conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture Greenhouse at Gadjah Mada University Yogyakarta in April-June 2016. The experiment design used factorial Completely Randomized Design with 2 factors and three replications. The first factor was the dose of KCl (K) fertilizer consisting of KCl 0 kg/ha (K1) and KCl 100 kg/ha (K2). The second factor was enough water (watering every day/ A1) and Less water (watering 4 days/ A2). The data observed were analyzed by ANOVA (analysis of variance) and least significant defference (LSD) test at alpha 5%. Potassium had an effect on the parameters of chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, total chlorophyll, and root area surface of corn at 4 MST. Potassium affected to stem dry weight, primary roots, and root volume at 8 MST. Watering treatment had an effect on chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, and total chlorophyll at 4 MST. There were interactions between potassium and water treatments on root volume parameters at 8 MST.

Abstract

The Water Treatment Plant is a process of purifying water in a palm oil mill (POM), consisting of external water treatment and internal water treatment which purpose to treat raw water into water that is suitable for use as needed. Addition of chemical with doses that are in accordance with the result of the Jar test will give result that are in accordance with the quality standard parameters in the external water treatment. The determination of these chemicals at PT XYZ has not been in accordance with the composition of raw water processed on that day, thus causing the quality of the water produced to not be in accordance with the specified quality standards and the use of these chemicals to be ineffective and inefficient. The purpose of this research was to determine how to determine the dosage and amount of chemical needed for more effective and efficient water treatment in external water treatment. The result of the research show that the result of the jar test carried out every day will produce a dose of chemical and the number of their needs will be more effective and efficient.
