Abstract

Teachers are required to be able to use and develop digital technology for innovative learning processes. IT-based learning media is one of the solutions offered so that students are not bored in learning. This researc aimed to determine whether there is an effect on the learning outcomes of class VII students of SMPN 26 Makassar on the use of IT-based media. Student learning outcomes data obtained were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the average score of the student’s biology learning outcomes in the control class was 65.10 and the experimental class was 77.66. The data on the results of inferential statistical analysis with t-test were obtained a sig score of 0.000 < α 0.05. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of using learning media based on IT toward the student’s learning outcomes.

Abstract

Soap is one of cosmetic products whose purpose is to cleanse the body of soiled. Several cosmetic products were added antioxidant to protect skin from free radical that caused skin damage such as aging. Robusta coffee beans (Coffea canephora) contain bioactive phenolic compounds such as fenolic acid, chlorogenic acid and caffeic acid that have antioxidant, also have an aromatic distinctive odor. Any research mention that antioxidant activities of unroasted robusta coffee beans have value of IC50 0,131 (mg/ml), while other research mention that robusta coffe bean have value of IC50 140,24 ppm and classified as moderate antioxidant according to Blois criteria. The benefits of the coffee can be used as an active ingredient in liquid soap. The aim of this study to determine the formula of ethanol extract Robusta (Coffea canephora) liquid soap and antioxidant activities test. Liquid soap is made in four formulations with variation of coffee extract 0%; 0,014%; 0,14%; and 1,4 % and with test criteria physical properties, pH and free alkali test compared with the standard quality of liquid soap SNI 06-4085. Antioxidant activities test were used DPPH method with spectrophotometry uv-vis with 515 nm wave length. The absorbance of DPPH solutions before and after addition the sample was calculated as percent (%) of inhibition. Then the percent of inhibition value is entered into linear regression equation until the IC50 value is obtained. The result of the phytochemical test of coffee bean exstract contain alkaloid compounds which are antioxidants. Physical test, pH and free alkali did not meet all SNI quality standards, as well as antioxidant acticity test which gave IC50 values above 200, which means they have no antioxidant acticity. Therefore, in further research, it is necessary to optimized the formulation

Abstract

Learning development is one of the innovations in improving student achievement, one of which is by adopting the Problem Based Learning model combined with the Student Worksheet (LKPD). This model of developments is adapted to the material on biodiversity. The purpose of this study is to validate and analyze the feasibility of the resulting LKPD. The development research method adopted is the research and development of the Four-D (4D) model. The results of the LKPD research were valid by material experts (80%), media experts (87.78%), and linguists (81.25%) with a very valid category and obtained a very decent feasibility score. The LKPD developed is expected to be a solution to classroom learning.

Abstract

The Discovery learning model leads students to find their own concepts by providing problems to be solved. This study aims to analyze the validity and feasibility of the biology module of the discovery learning model on the material of life organization system in seventh-grade junior high school. The research method is Research and Development with a 4-D model. The study results show that the biology module of the discovery learning model on the material of living organization systems developed has a material validator validity value of 79.9 and is very valid by a language validator of 88, and from a media validator of 84.2. The small-scale module feasibility questionnaire by educators obtained an average score of 102, and the feasibility by students scored 101.5, where the value was categorized as very feasible to use, while the large-scale feasibility questionnaire by educators had a score of 105 and the feasibility questionnaire by students had a score of 104.65 categorized as very proper to use.

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research (Classroom Action Research) with the aim of improving students' cognitive learning outcomes through the application of the cooperative learning model The Power of Two students of class XI.b Madrasah Aliyah Madani Pao-pao, Gowa Regency on excretory system material. The research subjects consisted of 40 students with the implementation stage carried out in two cycles (Cycle I and Cycle II), while the data obtained were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the application of the cooperative learning model type The Power of Two can improve cognitive learning outcomes for students of class XI.b Madrasah Aliyah Madani Pao-pao, Gowa Regency. The increase is shown from the results of the research cycle I to cycle II, namely the average value of students' cognitive learning outcomes increased from 59.00 to 68.80 and an increase in the percentage of students who completed from 45.00% to 87.5%. Based on the results of quantitative analysis, the increase in students' cognitive biology learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II was 42.5%, so it can be concluded that there was an increase in cognitive learning outcomes for students in class XI.b Madrasah Aliyah Madani Pao-pao, Gowa Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a focusky learning media based on the 5E learning cycle on the human digestive system material at SMA Negeri 2 Luwu. This research is an R&D (Research and Development) research with ADDIE development research design which consists of five stages, namely analysis (analyze), design (design), development (development), implementation (implementation) and evaluation (evaluation). The subjects of this study were students of class IX IPA 5 SMA Negeri 2 Luwu selected by simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques using validation sheets and questionnaires. Furthermore, the data were analyzed by validation and practicality tests. The results showed that: (1) The validity analysis was declared very valid based on the assessment of the media expert validator with a validity percentage of 87.5% and the material expert validator with a validity percentage of 97.5%. (2) The practicality analysis is stated to be very practical based on the teacher's response and after using the application with a score of 95% and the student response with a score of 87.5%. This means that the focusky learning media based on the 5E learning cycle that has been developed can be used in digestive system.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of online learning on student achievement in class XI IPA SMAN 4 Luwu in Biology Subjects During the Covid-19 Pandemic. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The sample in this study were students of class XI IPA 2 and XI IPA 3 of SMAN 4 Luwu as many as 70 students. Methods of data collection in the form of a questionnaire (questionnaire) and documentation. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling technique. The data in this study were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the level of effectiveness of online learning on student achievement was 11.43% which said it was effective and 88.57% said it was less effective. Therefore, it can be concluded that online learning is not effectively applied to Biology Subjects in class XI IPA SMAN 4 Luwu so this needs to be taken into consideration and input for teachers in the future.

Abstract

Plant anatomy is a branch of botany that studies the complex internal structures of plants and their functions. The structure in plants includes the constituent tissues of the organs contained in the plant itself. Plant anatomy is a compulsory subject for biology education students at Cokroaminoto Palopo University in semester 4. This study aims to determine the learning style difficulties of Biology education students at Cokroaminoto Palopo University in Plant Anatomy Course. The population and sample in this study were 4th semester students of the biology education study program, using a total sampling technique. The technique of collecting data is using the results of the questionnaire on learning style difficulties. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of data analysis indicators of learning motivation are 58.15%, Interest is 58.77%, Attitude is 47.37%, School environment is 48.87% and Family environment is 57.64%. From the existing data, it can be seen that the students' interest in learning factors with the highest percentage and attitude

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process of developing teaching materials assisted by the Anyflip application and their validity and practicality. This type of research is development research and uses the ADDIE research model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implement, and Evaluation). The research instruments used were validation sheets and student and teacher response sheets. The data analysis techniques used were validation data and practicality data, the results of this study showed that the media expert test data on the product obtained a validity percentage of 79.6% with very good interpretation criteria. , while based on the test results by material expert validators on the product, the percentage of validity is 100% in very good criteria. The results of the teacher's response questionnaire get a practicality percentage of 97.9% with very good criteria, while the results of the tabulation of student responses get a practicality percentage of 70.4% with good criteria. This criterion shows that the development of teaching materials assisted by the Anyflip application is valid and practical.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the google classroom application in improving the learning outcomes of class XI science students at SMA Negeri 1 Talaga Raya. This research is a pre-experimental research using one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Talaga Raya. The sample in this study was class XI IPA 2 which amounted to 30 students. The technique of collecting data is through giving multiple choice tests before (pretest) and after (posttest). The analytical technique used is descriptive analysis and N-Gain test. The results showed that student learning outcomes using the google classroom application increased before and after treatment, from 62.00% to 89.17%. Based on the N-Gain test, student learning outcomes are in the medium (47%) and high (53%). This shows that learning using the google classroom application in biology learning is quite effective in improving the learning outcomes of class XI science students at SMA Negeri 1 Talaga Raya
