Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the model Problem Based Learning on students’ scientific communication skills on environmental change material at SMAN 2 Sungai Penuh. This type of research is Quasi experimental research, with research randomized posttest only control group design. Sampling is carried out using techniques purpose sampling, class X I and class X J were selected as research samples. Data analysis techniques are normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test using independent sample t-test. Based on research, it was found that the result of scientific communication skills of experimental class students were higher than those in the control class. Hypothesis test result can be seen from value tcount > ttable. Based on the hypothesis test, it can be concluded that the model Problem Based Learning influence on students’ scientific communication skills on environmental change material at SMAN 2 Sungai Penuh.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian meta-analisis ini adalah untuk membuktikan bahwa Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik memberikan manfaat dalam bidang pendidikan, khususnya dalam proses pembelajaran biologi dengan menggunakan LKPD berbasis Problem Based Learning sebagai media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah meta-analisis, yaitu metode untuk menggabungkan dan menganalisis data dari beberapa penelitian terdahulu. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD berbasis PBL secara umum valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa di berbagai materi pembelajaran biologi. Berdasarkan meta-analisis dari tujuh artikel mengenai Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam pembelajaran Biologi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD berbasis PBL terbukti valid, praktis, dan efektif. Setiap penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD ini dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar, keterampilan berpikir kritis, dan sikap ilmiah siswa.

Abstract

Education is a deliberate and unintentional effort to facilitate students in realizing their abilities to become professionals. The application of the learning process with the right techniques will achieve educational goals. Learning media can help the learning process to make it easier for educators to convey information. Learning media that are in accordance with the needs of learning activities will create effective and efficient learning activities. Developing booklets can be one of the effective and efficient learning media to attract students' interest and motivation in the learning process. Booklets contain pictures, outlines or interesting data that can support students' understanding who may interpret the material introduced by the teacher. The purpose of this literature review is to determine the effectiveness or feasibility of booklets that can be used in the learning process. The literature review includes 10 articles published in 2017-2023 that meet the criteria for research objectives. The results of the study show that booklets that can be used in the learning process are booklets that have valid or very valid criteria. Thus, the booklet can attract interest and motivation and understanding of students in the learning process

Abstract

Tuberculosis is still a global health problem. Prolonged treatment of tuberculosis and using several anti-tuberculosis drugs (OAT) can cause side effects, one of which is multidrug resistance. Cases of multidrug-resistant (MDR) and extensively drug-resistant (XDR) Mycobacterium strains continue to increase. . Research and development of active compounds from medicinal plants to achieve more effective tuberculosis treatment is still being promoted. This research aims to determine the potential and effectiveness of green tea plant (Camellia sinensis) leaf extract in inhibiting the growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis strain H37Rv bacteria using the LJ (Lowenstein-Jensen) method in vitro. The research samples used were green tea plant leaves (Camellia sinensis) obtained from the Malino Village Tea Plantation, Tinggi Moncong Regency, Gowa District, South Sulawesi. The leaf extract was made in 4 types of concentrations, namely 10, 20, 50 and 100 µg/ml, each of which was tested against the clinical isolate of Mycobacterium tuberculosis strain H37Rv using the LJ (Lowenstein-Jensen) method as the standard for tuberculosis examination. Of the four extracts tested in vitro, only extract concentrations of 50 and 100 µg/ml were able to very strongly inhibit and kill the growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis strain H37Rv (inhibition percentage of 100%), not a single bacterial colony growth was found during the observation period. The percentage of inhibition of green tea plant leaves (Camellia sinensis) is the same as the percentage of inhibition of the drug rifampicin. Thus, the leaves of the green tea plant (Camellia sinensis) with concentrations of 50 and 100 µg/ml have potential antituberculosis activity and are prospective to be developed as antituberculosis from natural ingredients, and also as an additional therapeutic complement for TB.

Abstract

Gastropoda merupakan hewan yang relatif hidup menetap di dasar perairan dan sering digunakan sebagai indikator terhadap kualitas perairan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis gastripoda yang menempati wilayah Pantai berbatu kelurahan Waibalun. Metode penelitian yang digunakan melalui deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengambilan sampel gastropoda melalui penjelajahan sepanjang Pantai. Dari hasil penelitian dan berdasarkan identifikasi diperoleh ada delapan ordo, dua belas famili dan tujuh belas spesies gastropoda yang ditemukan di wilayah Pantai berbatu kelurahana Waibalun, yakni spesies Lambis lambis, Harpago chiragra, Morula granulate, Vasum turbinelus, Lentigo lentiginosus, Turbo chrysostomus, Patella vulgate, Tectura scutum, Nerita costata, Nerita undata, Cypraea caputserpentis, Cerithium vulgatum, Chicoreus cornucervi, Angaria delphinus, Angaria javanica, Haliotis squamata dan Haliotis asinina. Habitat dari jenis gastropoda yang ditemukan yakni bebatuan, batuan karang dan batuan kerikil.

Abstract

Biology as part of science emphasizes learning that involves students directly through learning experiences that include science process skills. Based on the results of a preliminary study of the science process skills of phase E students at SMAN 1 Padang, it was obtained that the science process skills of students were still relatively low. This study aims to determine the effect of the project-based inquiry learning model on the science process skills of phase E students at SMAN 1 Padang. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design. The instrument used to measure students' science process skills is in the form of multiple choice questions. The sample class selected uses a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis using the paired sample test obtained significant results (0.000) <α value (0.05) so that it can be concluded that the project-based inquiry learning model has a positive effect on the science process skills of phase E students at SMAN 1 Padang.

Abstract

The problem in MAN 2 Tanah Datar states that there has never been a measurement of scientific argumentation ability and there is no data on students' scientific argumentation ability, especially on environmental change material. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of students' scientific argumentation ability on environmental change material with a descriptive research type. The sample used was 160 students who were taken using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument was in the form of five essay questions. Data analysis techniques were scoring, determining values ​​and determining the level of scientific argumentation. Of the 160 samples, there were 140 students whose scientific argumentation ability was categorized as sufficient and 20 students were categorized as weak. The overall results of the study showed that the level of students' scientific argumentation ability on environmental change material at MAN 2 Tanah Datar was classified as sufficient with a percentage of 42.63.

Abstract

Problem solving ability is the ability of learners to use their own thinking process to solve problems by gathering facts, analysing information, summarising various alternative solutions, and choosing the most effective solution to the problem. The results of the preliminary study of the problem solving skills of phase E students of SMAN 1 Padang are still in the category that needs improvement and the category that is lacking. One of the efforts to improve problem solving skills can be done by applying a project-based inquiry learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of project-based inquiry learning model on problem solving skills of phase E students at SMAN 1 Padang. This research is a quasi experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The population in the study was phase E students of SMAN 1 Padang. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. The results of the study obtained data on the value of problem solving skills of experimental class students higher than the control class. The results of hypothesis testing get the results of sig value < 0.05 which is 0.000 so it can be concluded that the project-based inquiry learning model has a positive effect on the problem solving skills of phase E students at SMAN 1 Padang on environmental change material.

Abstract

Prospective teachers' ability to ask questions in the learning process needs to be trained to develop their potential in the teaching aspect, through practical activities to introduce the field of learning (PLP) II in schools. This research aims to describe the questioning abilities of prospective biology teacher students in the Biology Education Study Program, Biology Department, FMIPA Universitas Negeri Gorontalo in the PLP II course at Suwawa 1 State High School, Gorontalo Province. The type of research is a survey with a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects were 10 (ten) students from the Biology Education Study Program who were programming the PLP II course. The research uses qualitative descriptive methods. Data collection techniques, using observation sheets to observe the questioning ability of each prospective biology teacher; and voice recording devices when prospective teachers ask students questions. Data collection was carried out in 3 (three) learning meetings. The quality of questions refers to the Revised Bloom's Taxonomy. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis. The research results show that students' questions in the learning process are dominated by lower level questions or Lower Order Thinking Skill (LOTS) with a percentage value of 88.57%. Meanwhile, for the high level question category or Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS), the percentage was 11.43%, lower than LOTS questions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku panduan penilaian karakter siswa sekolah dasar pada mata pelajaran IPA Matematika, dengan fokus pada empat aspek: model penilaian yang digunakan guru, desain pengembangan instrumen, validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen, serta kepraktisan instrumen. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D), mengikuti model Djemari Mardapi yang dimodifikasi menjadi tiga tahap: studi pendahuluan, pengembangan, dan evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instrumen penilaian yang dikembangkan memenuhi syarat validitas, reliabilitas, dan kepraktisan. Validasi instrumen dilakukan oleh empat validator dan disarankan untuk direvisi sebelum uji coba. Uji reliabilitas menunjukkan hasil yang sangat tinggi, dengan skor rata-rata reliabilitas 0,783 pada uji coba terbatas, dan meningkat menjadi 0,868 dan 0,906 pada uji coba skala besar di dua sekolah. Analisis validitas konstrak menggunakan uji one-way ANOVA menunjukkan nilai KMO 0,85, yang dinyatakan valid. Kepraktisan instrumen juga diuji dengan angket, menunjukkan nilai kepraktisan yang baik dengan skor antara 55 dan 80 dari 20 responden guru. Buku panduan ini diharapkan dapat digunakan oleh guru dalam mengevaluasi pembelajaran karakter siswa di kelas.
