Abstract

This paper describes the analysis of the factors that led to their different views and Thailand Afghan students at the University of Wahid Hasyim about the content of curriculum in Pondok Pesantren Luhur Wahid Hasyim (PPLWH) Semarang. The background of this work, first, the students of Afghanistan to counter the unwillingness and the opt-out on non-formal education in PPLWH. One reason for the problem because the curriculum content presented too dense. Second, on the other hand there is uniqueness, students demonstrated Thailand. Namely, the existence of conditions of Thai students learning environment that is unstable and a variety of issues as well as negative fact, it strengthens their reaction to learning through pesantren education offered at the University of Wahid Hasyim. The second view of the type of student on Indonesian pesantren curriculum content is very important, one of them in Pondok Wahid Hasyim. This is because the University of Wahid Hasyim is the University of Nahdlatul 'Ulama in Indonesia which implemented a system of boarding schools. The other reason for the two types of these students have different cultural backgrounds (the Middle East and Southeast Asia) but still in one ideology, Islam.

Abstract

Menghadapi Masyarakat Ekonomi Asean (MEA) dibutuhkan sumber daya manusia yang memiliki komitmen dalam entrepreneur. sehingga pendidikan kewirausahaan menjadi salah satu upaya strategi dalam menjawab tantangan tersebut. Artikel ini bersifat deskriftif analitik yaitu menggunakan teori-teori para ahli untuk memberikan gambaran bahwa betapa pentingnya pendidikan kewirausahaan dalam membangun niat wirausaha mahasiswa. Sehingga dalam implementasinya pendidikan kewirausahaan dapat dilakukan melalui satu mata pelajaran atau melalui pengintegrasian dengan menanamkan berbagai kekuatan seperti head, heart, hand, health. Membangun niat dalam proses pendidikan kewirausahaan dapat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor seperti faktor internal, eksternal dan kontekstual. Oleh karena itu, untuk mendorong timbulnya niat mahasiswa dalam berwirausaha setelah lulus sarjana perlu mendapat dukungan dari berbagai kalangan sebagaimana disebutkan, hingga lahirlah niat yang akan menjadi cerminan dari perilaku entrepreneur sesungguhnya.

Abstract

Theefforts to understand ontological meaning of Islamic education are not easy, furthermore the nature of Islamic education meaning is intended as an abstraction integrity of meaning that is accepted ideological, theoretical, and empirical. The existence of Islamic education is always in contact and grappling with the reality surrounding them. In historical perspective, the struggle between Islamic educations with socio-cultural realities faces two possibilities: influences or is influenced. The consequence is that Islamic education can be defined as a process of enculturation and or facilitation efforts (medium). If referring to the terms of Islam, Islamic education is personified to the term attarbiyah, at-ta'lim, at-ta'dib and ar-riyadah. Each of these terms has different accentuation meanings although it has the same outline. In understanding Islamic education, basic education and its goal formulation becomes noteworthy. Since the basis and purpose of demarcation will distinguish with other educations.

Abstract

Justice, tolerance, and mutual forgiveness is the fundamental values of Islam. The principle must be understood and imitated and realized in social attitudes. But in fact, the principle of nonviolence and peace in Islam was limited to the principle of not integral to the individual Muslim. This has often resulted in various conflicts in society. This paper focuses existence of Ahmadiyah conflict. Ahmadiyah position as a minority group should get protection from the state. The State must ensure and protect the rights of religious freedom which is owned by Ahmadiyah. So with the protection provided by the state, the new state acts can be said to be in accordance with the constitutional mandate

Abstract

Studies on the involvement of female ulama (Muslim clerics) in the Islamic intellectual tradition are still in quite small number, not only in Malay-Nusantara area, but also in other Muslim regions such as Arabia, West Asia, Africa, North Africa, subcontinent of India, and so forth. Even though the studies on woman and gender is recently getting their momentum, the focused attention is not referred to the socio-cultural history of female ulama. This paper is a library research in nature. It attempts to deeply present the role of Fathimahbinti Abdul WahabBugis in the intellectual tradition of Islam Malay. It is concluded that Fathima’s role is very significantly considered in the intellectual tradition particularly in the field of fiqh (jurispundence).

Abstract

Multiculturalism is the recognition that different cultures can exist in the same environment and benefit each other. Multicultural societies have become a special character of the nation more specifically in Indonesian society, and have been discussed in various activities, seminars, discussion forums and in academic environment. Multicultural society is a society consisting of several kinds of cultural communities with all its advantages, with little difference in the conception of the world, a system of meaning, values, forms of social organization, history, customs and habits The role of religion will constructively make religious ties more stringent, often even exceeding the bondage of blood and nasab or ductility relationships. Then because of religion, a community or society will live in unified harmony and peace and unity. Conversely, destructively, religion also has destructive power, destroys unity and can even break the bond of unity. It makes a conflict with a religious background difficult to predict the end. The religion has the potential to generate an internal and external conflicts that ultimately can harm the community itself.

Abstract

These days, the universities are required to be prepare of quality assurance in becoming ASEAN Economic Society. Therefore, the visionary leadership sense inside PTKI like structure, focus, recognize legality, communication, dinamic style, and responsive are needed to create the qualified PTKI. At least the qualified PTKI should have 8 factors such as scores and assignment, organization structure, communication, decision-making by agreement, and dinamic curriculum planning. Visionary leadership is vision based, which have the ability to face the reality and confidence in making people to be sure that the visions will be realize. The ability that should have by visionary leadership are: (a) capable in making good connection with staff and employment (in organization) who need guidance, support, and motivation; (b) capable in employing the external area maximally and have good relation with the outer which make the organization success; (c) capable in creating and influencing whole operation aspect of organization including the visions achievement, the quality of control system, the organization structure, and the information system; (d) capable and smart in dealing the future.

Abstract

The moderation of Islamic education has given birth to a great civilization with an extraordinary spectrum that astonishes the world. The rules of the value of Islamic teachings that display moderation in its most beautiful format have made it very easily accepted by every human layer. Moderation in Islam has given a "guarantee" of eternal space to the teachings of this religion until the end of time. The main constancy and flexibility in the branch of Islamic teachings, makes it always able to adapt to any situation in all times and times "shalehun li kulli era wa makan". Strict basic teachings (tsawabit) and flexible branches (murunah) have provided such a wide space for the existence of ijtihad in Islam that we can be sure that this teaching has not experienced chaos. This moderation of Islam that is "built in" God promises to make this religion superior to any religion, and to any ideology produced by humans.Islam strongly opposes the anti-moderation attitude or rather extremism (ghuluw) in any form. Ghuluw's attitude will cause negative impacts and minus excesses for individuals, families, communities, countries, and the world. Extreme attitude in religion will also have a negative impact on religion itself and will cause disasters outside the religion. Extremism (ghuluwism) will cause the-religion of-Islam to be the accused party of-the emergence of harmony among local and international communities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out Islamic moderation model which is successfully developed by Jogokariyan mosque. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method with descriptive analysis. The research findings show that Islamic moderation approach in managing a mosque gives optimal effect on collecting philanthropy fund. Islamic moderation model developed by Jogokariyan Mosque has characteristics: 1) the leader of the mosque is also the leader of community; 2) Mosque belongs to community and everyone is allowed to use the facilities; 3) philanthropy fund is used not only for ritual aspect but also for social and economic empowerment of community; 4) involving the elements and roles of community to build sense of belonging toward the mosque; 5) developing the icon of Java community such as prayer cap as important icon of the mosque and as the typical merchant to foster economy.

Abstract

Education aimed at shaping attitudes and behavior towards the civilized man. An education system that only emphasizes the transfer of knowledge, making education is no longer meaningful and a positive effect on learners. Education is not touching the side of humanism that develops an attitude of pluralism as a foundation of multiculturalism‟s thought. Model of religious education would only create only godly individually. Understanding multiculturalism has become a commodity in politics that will continue to roll in the realm of national education including Islamic religious education which is an integral part of the national education system. The government‟s policy regarding the application of curriculum which necessitates the provision of education oriented to potential of regional and local cultural values. This policy can not be separated from the awareness of the figures and leaders of this country that the Indonesian nation is very diverse and heterogeneous. Therefore, it is impossible to build this country withot considering of the values of plurality and multicultural in society
