Abstract

Fertilization is a very important effort for Dwarf Elephant Grass (Pennisetum purpureum cv Mott) to achieve forage production and high nutritional quality following its potential. This research aims to determine the yield of dry matter, crude protein content, and crude fiber of Dwarf Elephant Grass by application of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) resulting from vermicomposting of beef cattle waste. The research was conducted at the Field Laboratory of Forage Crop, and the Ruminant Animal Nutrition and Feed Chemistry Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Padjadjaran University from January to June 2018. The research method used was the experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design using 3 treatments, namely P1 (5,000 L per Ha), P2 (10,000 L per Ha), and P3 (15,000 L per Ha), and 6 replications. Data were processed by analysis of variance and continued with Duncan's Multiple Range Test. The results showed that giving LOF increased the production, increased the content of crude protein, and decreased the crude fiber content of Dwarf Elephant Grass forage. Giving LOF from vermicomposting beef cattle waste at a dose of 15,000 L per Ha resulted in the highest forage dry matter yield (1,925 kg per Ha), one-time cutting at dry season, and the best nutrient content seen from the crude protein content (13.95%) and crude fiber content (28.53%).

Abstract

Beef cattle productivity can be evaluated based on the Average  Daily Gain (ADG), feed consumption, and Feed Conversion ratio (FCR). This research aims to assess the productivity of Ongole crossbreed cattle (PO) that are reared intensively. A total of fifteen cattle were used in this study, aged 2-2.5 years. Cattle were reared intensively in individual pens for 61 days, equipped with feed and water. The feed was given a mixture of concentrate and forage in a ratio of 75: 25,  water was given ad libitum. The total dry matter requirement was calculated based on 3% of body weight. The parameters observed were Average Daily Gain (ADG), feed consumption, and Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR). The data were analyzed by descriptive analysis. The study indicated that ADG was 0.625 ± 0.136 kg, the average of feed consumption was 7.35 ± 1.67 kg and the average of FCR was 12.582 ± 5.149.

Abstract

Shallots are an important crop with high economic value in Indonesia. Shallot production usually depends on intensive fertilization. Inorganic fertilizers were increasingly rare and more expensive at the market level. Inorganic fertilizers were scarce in society and their prices were more expensive at the market level. Biofertilizers made from superior microbial active ingredients have long been used to substitute inorganic fertilizers, but the right combination dose has not been found to increase the yields. The research aimed to study the level of effectiveness of biological fertilizers in substituting inorganic fertilizers and getting the right dose to increase shallot production. The research was conducted from February to April 2019 in the Research Plantation of PT. Indo Acidatama Tbk, Karanganyar, Central Java. Four treatments were tested on shallot seeds under a completely randomized design non-factorial: (P1) NPK 1200 kg/ha, (P2) NPK 900 kg/ha + biofertilizer 10 l/ha, (P3) NPK 600 kg/ha + biofertilizer 20 l/ha, dan (P4) NPK 300 kg/ha + biofertilizer 30 l/ha. The results showed that 20 l/ha of biofertilizers combined with a dose of 600 kg/ha of inorganic fertilizer effectively increases shallot production to reach 6.78 tonnes/ha. Biofertilizers could substitute several inorganic fertilizers so that are indicated by optimally wet biomass weight, weight of bulbs, number of bulbs, and diameter of bulbs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan mengetahui peran Koperasi Kemitraan Kel’an Blom Kejah (KBK) dalam perkembangan usaha tani kelapa sawit di Desa Nehas Liah Bing. Penelitian ini dimulai pada Bulan November 2022 sampai Januari 2023 di Desa Nehas Liah Bing. Teknik pengambilan jumlah sampel dengan cara sampel jenuh dimana semua populasi akan dijadikan sampel. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari hasil kuesioner kemudian diolah dengan metode skoring dengan skala likert. Hasil perhitungan menggunakan skala likert diperoleh nilai dari 5 peran koperasi adalah 2.348 (sangat berperan) dengan rata-rata 37,87. Nilai peran terdiri atas peran motivator 472 dan rata-rata 7,61, edukator 438 dan rata-rata 7,1, katalisator 445 dan rata-rata 7,18, organisator 468 dan rata-rata 7,55 dan komunikator 521 dan rata-rata 8,4. Adanya skor peran koperasi disimpulkan mengenai peran koperasi yang terdiri 5 aspek dapat jumlah keseluruhan aspek tersebut adalah 2.344 dengan interval kelas secara umum pada rentang kelas 2.171 – 2.791 sangat berperan, nilai interval kelas peran koperasi sebagai motivator dengan nilai 472 sangat berperan, peran sebagai edukator mempunyai nilai 438, peran sebagai katalisator mempunyai nilai 445 sangat berperan, peran sebagai organisator mempunyai nilai 468 sangat berperan dan terakhir peran sebagai komunikator 521 sangat berperan. Kata Kunci: Peran Koperasi Kemitraan, Pengembangan Usaha Tani Kelapa Sawit

Abstract

This research discusses the implementation of the 7P marketing mix strategy at CV. Tani Organik Merapi is a company operating in the field of organic agriculture. This research also identifies the 7P marketing mix which includes product, price, promotion, place, people, process, and physical evidence, and how it is applied in the context of an organic farming company. This research aims to be able to analyze the SWOT to formulate an effective marketing strategy. The research results show that internal and external factors can influence a company, including strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. This research method uses a mixed method by carrying out a research approach that combines quantitative and qualitative data analysis to obtain more comprehensive and accurate results. The analysis results show that CV's 7P marketing mix strategy. Merapi Organic Farming shows success in several aspects but requires improvement in the Promotion aspect. By using SWOT analysis, CV. Merapi Organic Farmers can develop 12 alternative strategies to improve performance and success in marketing organic vegetable products."

Abstract

The research aims to determine the effect of urea fertilizer on the growth and yield of sorghum plants in lowland swampland. The method used in this research is RAL. The factor given is urea fertilizer which consists of 4 treatment levels, namely n0 = (control), n1 = (100 urea kg per ha), n2 = (200 urea kg per ha), and n3 = (300 urea kg per ha) . The results of the research showed that the application of Urea fertilizer at a rate of 300 kg ha-1 showed growth (plant height (7-9 WAP), yield components (length of fruiting panicle bunches, number of seeds per planting, weight of seeds per planting and weight of 1000 seeds) and yield (weight of seeds per hectare ) higher than when applying urea at a rate of 200 kg per ha, 100 kg per ha and without applying urea fertilizer (0 kg per ha).

Abstract

IKM Al-Hidayah does not yet have accurate information about the effectiveness of promotions on social media Instagram, and how far the influence of using this media on purchasing decisions for honey pumpkin sticks. The purpose of this study is to improve the marketing of honey pumpkin stick products by utilizing social media, especially Instagram as a medium for promotion. Primary data and secondary data are the sources of research data. Hypothesis testing is used in statistical-based explanatory research to explain or validate the relationship between variables. The participants (population) of this study were LabuQu Instagram followers. Purposive sampling is the method used for sampling, and the sample amounted to 175 respondents. Using the SPSS 25 program, linear regression analysis of the data was conducted. Before the data is processed, validity, reliability, and normality tests are carried out. The results showed that promotion through Instagram social media has a positive influence on purchasing decisions for LabuQu honey pumpkin stick products by 64.2%. This influence is obtained through the t-test process, f-test, linear regression analysis, and determination test.

Abstract

The research aimed to (1) determine the production process in layer chicken farming at UD Mega Putih and (2) determine the diversification of profits and feasibility of layer chicken farming at UD Mega Putih. This research used descriptive research in the form of a case study. The informants involved in this research were employees at UD Mega Putih, where primary data and secondary data were used in research activities. The data were collected through in-depth interviews and observation while the data analysis was carried out using income analysis, business feasibility, and break-even point. The analysis included cage depreciation cost, equipment depreciation cost, tax cost, seed cost, feed cost, medicine cost, electricity cost, labor cost, and marketing cost in one cycle, namely 2 years (730 days) by calculating based on the results field observation, namely interviewing respondent (Owner of UD Mega Putih). The research findings indicated that the UD Mega Putih layer chicken farming business earned an income of IDR 7,888,166,667/ cycle (730 days) for layer chicken with several 9,500 chickens, IDR 70,000,000/ cycle (60 days) for pullets with several 1000 chickens, and IDR 990,000/ cycle (60 days) for 90 sacks of manure. Thus, the income earned from the layer hen farming business at UD Mega Putih was feasible and profitable.

Abstract

A sufficient supply of healthy plants must be provided to balance the rising demand for bananas. A technique that can be used for propagation is tissue culture. Environmental factors and a variety of types are factors that affect explant growth. This research aimed to determine the effect of darkening duration on the growth of two banana (Musa sp.) varieties in vitro. In this study, a Factorial Randomized Block Design was implemented, considering two elements, namely the variety of bananas and the duration of darkening. The research showed that the time of shoot emergence started at 1.83 WAP in Cavendish grand naine treatment without darkening. The type of variety treatment had a significant effect on the number of leaves, and the best variety was Cavendish grand naine. The darkening duration treatment with four weeks of darkening increased shoot height significantly. An interaction between these two factors was observed in the number of shoots, shoot height, and number of leaves.

Abstract

Imperata cylindrica is a narrow-leaved weed that contains phenol compounds in the form of flavonoids and tannins that can inhibit the growth of other plants, so it has the potential as a bioherbicide. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of methanol extract of rhizom I. cylindrica on the germination and growth of Mikania micrantha weed and to determine the concentration of methanol extract of rhizom I. cylindrica that well inhibits the germination and growth of  M. micrantha weed. This research started from March to December 2023 and was carried out at the Forest Products Chemistry Laboratory Faculty of Forestry, Laboratory and Cassa House Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Tanjungpura University, Pontianak. The method used in this research is Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 concentration treatments of 0 g/ml (control); 0.1 g/ml; 0.2 g/ml; 0.3 g/ml and 0.4 g/ml, each treatment consists of 5 replicates. The results showed that methanol extract of rhizom I. cylindrica gave a significant effect on the germination and growth of M. micrantha weed. The methanol extract of rhizom I. cylindrica that best inhibits the germination of M. micrantha weed is a concentration of 0.2 g/ml and best inhibits the growth of M. micrantha weed is a concentration of 0.4 g/ml. Methanol extract of rhizom I. cylindrica has the potential as a bioherbicide to inhibit the growth of M. micrantha weed.
