Abstract

Agricultural tourism is a practice of agricultural cultivation in a farmer's neighbourhood by adopting tourism services. The purposes of this community service are to describe (1) the socio-economic conditions of the durian farmers in Sumberagung Village, (2) the managerial competence of durian farmers in Sumberagung Village, and (3) the competence of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) of durian farmers. Ngantang district is used as a community service location because it is one of the famous durian producers in Malang. The community service is focused in Sumberagung Village because the local farmers are fostered by the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Brawijaya and there are also many new durian varieties that are researched by lecturers and students of Universitas Brawijaya. The results of this community service are (1) the socio-economy of durian farming can be improved through the development of durian agricultural tourism, (2) some durian farmers have managerial competence so that they can be used as opinion leaders in developing durian agricultural tourism, and (3) with the competence of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) owned by the durian farmers, they can plan durian agricultural tourism.

Abstract

Pelaku UMKM dalam aktivitas bisnis sekarang mulai menyadari pentingnya peran produksi yang mengutamakan unsur humanis melalui praktek Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) sesuai dengan rekomendasi International labour organization (ILO). Sejalan dengan hal tersebut praktek perilaku K3 melalui penggunaan alat kerja yang ergonomis untuk meningkatkan kualitas kerja dan produktivitas sangat perlu diketahui oleh pelaku UMKM. Kegiatan PKM ini berupaya memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada pelaku UMKM kerupuk ikan desa Srowo kecamatan Sidayu berupa pelatihan desain ergonomi terhadap fasilitas produksi. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan serta monitoring evaluation agar proses pelaksanaan program PKM ini dapat berjalan sesuai rencana, memperoleh hasil sesuai harapan dan tuntas dilaksanakan. Hasil pelatihan desain ergonomi menunjukan bahwa peserta menjadi lebih mengetahui pentingnya perilaku ergonomic untuk kesehatan kerja. Selain itu, peserta juga lebih mengetahui bagaimana cara menyesuaikan alat kerja agar sesuai dengan kondisi tubuh mereka

Abstract

Yayasan Pusat Kajian dan Pengembangan Islam (YPKPI) Masjid Raya Baiturrahman, Central Java is a foundation that manages several units of school institutions and mosques. Foundation finance is the field with the most complex work. The principles of transparency and accountability in financial reporting are necessary, so a system is needed that can help manage the foundation's finances correctly and according to accounting rules. The Foundation's Financial System development cannot run properly if it is not followed up with mentoring and training activities on the operation of system applications. Therefore, the Training of Trainers (ToT) for the foundation's administrative staff becomes a realistic activity to do. ToT activities are carried out with two models: scheduled and unscheduled ToT. These two methods are carried out to deal with human resource constraints (SDI) for financial administration staff who do not have an educational background or expertise in accounting/financial administration. With this ToT activity, the administrative staff of YPKPI Baiturahman Grand Mosque can manage the financial administration of the foundation and provide financial reports under accounting rules in a transparent and accountable manner

Abstract

MSME actors are often faced with a lack of understanding of the importance of branding activities, especially through social media in pandemic conditions like today. The lack of understanding of the importance of branding activities is also coupled with the lack of ability to produce good visual works for digital branding purposes. Visual works are the main key to show brand identity and also attract audiences in digital branding activities. Therefore, the team carried out PKM activities with the aim of helping MSME actors, which in this case was Bakmi Jojo, to carry out digital branding activities through visual communication works, through product photos and videos. The PKM method is carried out through training and assistance for making visual works in the form of photos and videos. The results of this visual work will be used for digital branding purposes on social media and e-commerce platforms.

Abstract

Tista Village is a village with qualified tourism potential to be developed further. There are many places to visit and activities to experience in this village while exploring the existing culture and local wisdom. However, the biggest obstacle faced by this village is the management or governance ability of their tourism potential, such as a lack of English Skills and understanding of tourist travel plans in bringing tourists to existing places and doing the activities they want, etc. Providing quality knowledge and information to visitors requires the expertise of a tour guide armed with a neat travel plan, who will later deliver and explain every place and activity carried out in this village. This deficiency is one of the reasons we conduct training on the preparation of travel plans or often called an itinerary so that visitors' trips to enjoy the beauty of this village remain organized and well-planned. We conducted this training with presentation and practice methods when they immediately arranged in a table starting from the places to visit and the duration of time required in each location and activity before being presented to other participants. Abstract

Universitas Kristen Maranatha is a private university in Bandung with a work program based on the ICE principles of integrity, care, and excellence in the disciplines of teaching, research, and community service, with one of them focusing on social problems. So far, lecturers from various study programs have collaborated with partners from the Yayasan Indonesia Ramah Lansia in West Java Province to develop materials relevant to ecoprint training for the elderly. The goal of this exercise is to provide the elderly an understanding of the ecoprint process as an art therapy tool for improving cognitive function. Art plays a significant role in this activity since it is a sort of creative activity that keeps the elderly engaged and productive in their latter years. The exercise took place in the Seroja Elderly School in Cinambo, Bandung. It is believed that by participating in this activity, the elderly would be able to put the insights and ecoprint techniques they have learned to use to train their cognitive skills to stay in excellent shape.

Abstract

Empowerment is a development process where the community takes the initiative to start a process of social activities to improve their own situation and condition. There is a decrease in religious fervor in adolescents. The triggers are the low enthusiasm of adolescents to participate in religious activities and the lack of motivation from their parents, only about 25 teenagers become members with active membership status in a religious activity. The low understanding of adolescents about the importance of religious activities is a basic factor in the emergence of problems. Furthermore, the apathy of society towards adolescent problems is also a problem factor. To unravel these problems, it is necessary to empower youth in a structured manner. So we participated in carrying out several activities to empower youth through personal and community approaches, meet and great as well as training activities for the art skills of the al banjari sholawat. As a result, the youth of Kintelan village are more enthusiastic in carrying out religious activities, especially the al-banjari prayer.

Abstract

Cassava and banana are the most agricultural commodities grown in Silo Village. Farmers plant these commodities as a response to local needs. In order to add more value to these commodities, the team of community service program strives to make a gluten-low bread by utilizing flours made from cassava (mocaf) and banana. This community service program was implemented to introduce bread made from mocaf and banana flours as alternative flours for wheat flour, as well as enhance skills and knowledge of the society in Silo village. The methods used in this community service program were participants approach and field observation, training program, and accompaniment of participants. The monitoring program was conducted during accompaniment of participants to check the progress established in the development objective. Modules were also provided by the team of community service program. The group of the Family Welfare Movement in Silo Village were interested during the training program due to the innovation presented. The gluten-low bread was processed by supplementing mocaf and banana flour to the dough. A combination of 70% of wheat flour, 20% of mocaf, and 10% of banana flour resulted in airy and soft bread, as well as delicious taste. As a consequence of gluten reduction in the raw materials, the amount of instant yeast and the length time of dough fermentation were increased twice compared to the common bread made from whole wheat flour. About 30% of wheat flour in the bread-making process could be substituted by the combination of 20% of mocaf and 10% of banana flour. The community service program could also be performed to improve the experience and skills of the group of Family Welfare Movement in Silo Village.

Abstract

One of the household businesses in the field of shrimp paste processing located in Gampong Simpang Lhee, West Langsa District, Langsa City is terasi awaina. From the observations that have been made, the process of printing shrimp paste is still carried out conventionally using hands, so the process of printing shrimp paste takes a long time and produces a paste print that is not uniform in size, therefore the PKM team offers an appropriate technology in the form of a screw press machine as a paste printer. The method of this community service activity is carried out by providingn information and solutions about the products offered, as well asstrengthening the screw press machine design needed by partners, then conducting training on how to operate and maintain the screw press machine , then the latter performs mentoring during and after the program. From the results of the evaluation that has been carried out by the PKM team, it is certain that the business of terasi awaina gampong simpang lhee has been skilled in using screw press machines, it is hoped that with the screw press machine, the production of awaina paste will increase.

Abstract

One of the ancestral heritage that has been used since 1135 M is jamu. People know jamu by several terms, including colonial jamu, by which “jamu gendong”, Nusantara jamu, and millennial jamu are developed. The use of jamu was originally intended to maintain health, both to reduce or eliminate symptoms of illness. The use of jamu, which was initially empirically based, developed into a professionally formulated dosage form after laboratorial and clinical evaluating various active compounds. The problem that develops in the community is the reluctance of the millennial generation to consume jamu, due to its bitter taste and unattractive performance. To revitalize the public image of jamu, various efforts have been made, including socialization, modifying the appearance and taste of jamu so that it is suitable for public interest to the international level. This report provides an overview of training activities for making jamu using simple technology, but which can produce healthy, attractive dishes with distinctive flavors and aromas. The activity is carried out in synergy involving academics, practitioners who are members of the East Java Herbal Medicine Association (GP JAMU JATIM) which was initiated by the East Java Industrial Pharmacy Seminat Association (HISFARIN JATIM). The participants of the activity included the UMKM community, pharmacists, practitioners with the main target being residents of the Technical Implementation Unit for Bina Daksa Social Rehabilitation (UPT RSBD) of the Social Service of Bangil District, Pasuruan Regency.
