Abstract

Abstract Furoshiki is one of the traditional Japanese culture which means the use of eco-friendly traditional cloth as wrapping. In everyday life, furoshiki are used to wrap things. In the era of globalization, furoshiki is useful to reduce the use of plastic. Therefore, it is necessary to hold workshops and mentoring in the use of furoshiki among young people, especially high school and vocational students. The workshop materials include, 1) Definition of furoshiki, 2) history and development of furoshiki, 3) Type of fabric, size and motif of furoshiki, 4) Price of furoshiki, 5) Benefits and techniques of making furoshiki. The method used in this workshop is the method of community education and training by means of lectures, discussions and mentoring. Participants are introduced and taught how to make furoshiki so that they can be useful in everyday life. This activity was quite successful when seen from the enthusiasm of the participants in participating in the workshop and indicated by the participant satisfaction questionnaire which touched the figure of 70%. With this workshop, it is hoped that the younger generation will be more concerned about the environment and add insight to the participants. The success of this activity is due to the good cooperation of members of the community service team with the Principal, Japanese language teacher and students of the Health and Tourism Vocational School, Bangkinang City, Riau. Abstract

Keniten Village is one of the villages in the Kedungbanteng sub-district which has a large number of productive age population, but this is not accompanied by community productivity, it is proven that there are still many residents who do not have the skills or jobs. Therefore, skills training was made to the community regarding making handicrafts. The examples of crafts made are in the form of Gift Frames so that people are more productive and increase creativity and skills. This training activity was carried out in August 2021 by involving 5 housewives in Keniten Village. The activity begins by giving an explanation of the training material, followed by mentoring in the practice of making Gift Frames, and ends with an evaluation and checking of results. The purpose of this training activity is as an effort to improve the skills of the Keniten Village community in making Gift Frame handicrafts. The results of the evaluation can be seen that almost all participants have a good level of understanding about how to make Gift Frames. The average ability of the participants to understand, although there are still some people who find it difficult to understand this training. So that this training can be said to be successful and can be applied. Suggestions given by participants include, the type of flower used should be smaller than before so that the frame is easy to decorate. Then for the frame you should use a larger size.

Abstract

Klub olahraga Forum Tenis Taman Melati (FTTM) selama ini menghadapi kendala dalam merekrut anggota baruantara lain karena belum memanfaatkan teknologi digital seiring dengan berjalannya revolusi industry 4.0. Dikalangan masyarakat peminat olahraga, khususnya olahraga tenis lapangan, dukungan informasi penting untukmemperkuat kapasitas mereka dalam menekuni olahraga tersebut. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat inidimaksudkan untuk mengaplikasikan kemampuan jurnalistik warga (terutama media sosial) untuk penyebarluasaninformasi dan kampanye terkait dengan keikutsertaan warga untuk aktif dalam berkegiatan tenis lapangan di KotaDepok. Penulis menawarkan untuk pembuatan media online organisasi, dan juga akun media online. Untukmemelihara kelayakan konten, maka pengusul mendampingi dalam pembuatan tulisan dengan kalimat efektif gunaditampilkan dalam tayangan media sosial milik FTTM ini. Kegiatan berikutnya, mitra didampingi dalammenjadwalkan kegiatan pelatihan untuk anak, remaja dan umum, serta menentukan tim pelatih. Hasilnya anggotaFTTM semakin bersemangat karena memiliki akun media sosial yang dapat mengunggah informasi kegiatanmereka, serta terselenggaranya pelatihan tenis untuk merekrut calon pemain tenis lapanga

Abstract

The purpose of this community service program is to empower the community, especially Tuberculosis (TB) cadres. With this program, hopefully the cadres will able to assist TB patients and identify TB suspect so that they want to check themselves at the Puskesmas and undergo treatment until they are healed. The long treatment time, the reluctance of TB patients to check themselves, coupled with the fear of being diagnosed with COVID-19 are some of the reasons why many TB patients and suspects in Sumenep Regency are not handled properly. One of the efforts that can be done to deal with the problem of TB is to provide companions for TB sufferers, which in this case is to empower TB cadres. In addition to providing assistance to TB sufferers whose condition has been confirmed, the cadres also play an important role in identifying people suspected of having TB. After successfully identifying suspected TB, the cadres need to encourage them to get checked and undergo treatment. Through this community service activity, cadres are given material and trained through simulations so that they can provide good assistance. The provision of materials is expected to provide refreshment and increase the knowledge of cadres about TB. Simulations are carried out so that cadres can improve their ability to provide assistance. In addition, it is hoped that this activity can support government programs in efforts to eradicate TB disease in Indonesia.

Abstract

Education and Introduction Shooting Sports for Elementary and Junior High School Children, which was held on October 26, 2021, in partnership with the Central Java Provincial PERBAKIN Supervisor, is a form of community service by lecturers at the Faculty of Sports Science, Universitas Negeri Semarang. Introducing shooting sports, is one of the solutions to be able to generate student interest in learning shooting sports, in the long term it will have an impact on increasing young shooting athletes in Semarang. The material presented contains basic shooting techniques, various numbers in shooting, facilities and infrastructure, as well as an overview of future achievement opportunities for participants who are interested in pursuing shooting sports. Participants’ response showed enthusiasm by asking some questions. Some said that they got new information and knowledge related to shooting. The conclusion of the service carried out received a positive response from the participants. Suggestions of this service are addressed to the Central Java Provincial PERBAKIN Supervisor, especially in the field of Organization to collaborate with the local education office regularly to hold similar activities for education levels from elementary to high school in order to expand opportunities to continue the generation of shooters in the future

Abstract

Home industry is an independent business unit carried out by a group of people in a family. One that is included in the Home industry category is UD.WARAS with the type of oyster mushroom farming business. The packaging of oyster mushroom agricultural products is packaged in plastic and bound using an electric transformer modified with wires that are far from K3 elements. At the peak of harvesting, many mushrooms are not selling well in the market due to the many competitors from outside the region and the packaging that is less attractive than the competitors' packaging. In this PKM, it seeks to develop a home industry by providing packaging equipment in the form of a vacuum cleaner. The method in this PKM provides training on product packaging with a vocum cleaner, provides assistance to create new product packaging by adding better stamps and stickers, provides directions for making oyster mushroom crispy crackers, and explains the importance of digital marketing in this digitalization era.

Abstract

One of the ways to maintain the personal health during an emergency condition as the current COVID-19 is the utilization of natural ingredients. It can be processed into traditional medicines. Jamu as a type of traditional medicine as well as natural heritage has been widely used by Indonesian to prevent the body from disease and to treat the health issue. This community service aimed to provide education for society regarding the chemical content and efficacy of natural ingredients such as empon-empon. The techniques to process it into traditional medicine for family healthcare was also delivered. The activity was carried out through face-to-face meeting while still applying the health protocols. The level of success and usefulness of the activity was known from the response of the participants. In general, the PKM activities in the scheme of theory and practical session has been carried out well. The materials presented in theory session was understandable. Meanwhile, the techniques used in practical session was easy to be replicated. The activity was expected to increase the knowledge and skills of the society in terms of natural ingredients that have good chemical content and the techniques to process them into nutritious drinks for families.

Abstract

Livelihoods the people of Sidokare village, Rejoso sub-district, Nganjuk regency are mostly farmers. In addition to planting rice, they also plant shallots which are their signature product. Most of the women in Sidokare village are housewives who are also farmers and farm labourers. However, during the period between the planting season and harvest season, most of them are unemployed and have no income. This is certainly a burden for the family's economy, in addition to the Covid-19 pandemic that causes the price of harvest to be uncertain while the daily needs must still be met. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide training and assistance in the production of home industry scale soap products while still paying attention to the quality that meets health standards by utilizing herbal ingredients. This activity is expected to equip women in Sidokare Nganjuk Village with skills in making home industry soap products that can be used as business startups to support the family economy. As a result of this activity, the community gains skills to produce various liquid soap products that can be marketed in their neighbourhood.

Abstract

Penderita Human Imunoficiency Virus (HIV)/ AIDS terus meningkat dari tahun ketahun. Peningkatan inidipengaruhi oleh terus bertambahnya penderita HIV baru yang terdeteksi. Hal ini sejalan dengan perilakuseksual penderita HIV/ AIDS masih banyak yang tidak sehat. Perilaku seksual tersebut berupa kegiatan anal,oral, dan sesama jenis. Perilaku ini apabila tidak dikontrol dengan baik akan berisiko bertambahnya penderitaHIV/ AIDS yang baru. Pengabdian ini berfokus pada upaya pencegahan penyebaran HIV/AIDS melaluikegiatan promosi kesehatan dan terapi kognitif. Metode pengabdian berupa penyuluhan dan diskusi melaluimedia sosial whatsapp dengan pendekatan cognitive behaviour therapy. Kegiatan berjalan dengan baik,peserta dapat mengikuti kegiatan dengan penggunaan aplikasi whatsApp tanpa kendala, serta terlibat aktifberdiskusi. Hasil Ukur pengetahuan didapatkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan sebelum (mean =73) dan setelah (mean = 90).

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam menggambar menggunakan aplikasi AutoCad adalah mahalnya software yang aslidan harganya sulit dijangkau oleh sekolah/guru apalagi oleh siswa. Oleh karenanya menjadi salah satupenyebab kenapa di Pondok Pesantren guru-guru menggambar masih memiliki cara-cara manual yangharusnya sudah kita tinggalkan. Atas tuntutan jaman dan perkembangan Teknologi yang menuntut guruguru gambar untuk meningkatkan kompetensi khususnya dalam penggunaan aplikasi yang dibutuhkan.Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian yang digunakan dalam bentuk pelatihan yang dilaksanakan diPondok Pesantren Al Furqon Driyorejo Gresik. Model pembelajaran adalah pembelajaran langsung dankelompok. Setiap chapter dirancang diskusi tanya jawab dan pemberian tugas kelompok/mandiri. Evaluasiakan dilakukan pada setiap hari pelatihan. Keberlanjutan akan dilakukan diskusi dan tanya jawab melaluiemail. Hasil dari kegiatan PKM ini, meliputi : (1) Peserta pelatihan yang sebelumnya ditargetkan hanya 10guru ternyata dalam pelaksanaannya menjadi 13 peserta; (2) Tersusunnya modul pembelajaranmenggambar menggunakan aplikasi AutoCad, setiap peserta (guru) mendapatkan buku modul AutoCad;(3) Peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam menggambar menggunakan AutoCad; (4) Peserta (guru) dapatmenggambar menggunakan aplikasi AutoCad; serta (5) Peningkatan kerja sama SMK di PondokPesantren Al Furqon dan Universitas Negeri Surabaya akan ditingkatkan dalam kegiatan yang lain.
