<![CDATA[This research intends to give a proposal concerning the practice of the holy communion in Gereja Bethel Indonesia (GBI) based on John Calvin’s theological thought. As one of the largest Pentecostal church in Indonesia and even further, as a Holy Spirit-centered church, GBI has not yet given a ‘room’ for Holy Spirit to unite the church with Christ through holy communion. In general, the holy communion practice is done as a memorial act upon His crucifixion that not only save the world, but also able to heal physical ailments. This study is using literature study to explore some material sources from GBI that contain the church’s doctrine, the primary source of John Calvin’s theological idea from his writings, and also secondary sources from theologians that has been exploring this issue. The researcher’s perspective and experience of being a member of GBI also cannot be dismissed to contribute in this study. I argue two things: 1) that Calvin’s theology on ‘spiritual presence’ about the union with Christ through the work of the Holy Spirit can be a beneficial contribution to the practice of the holy communion in GBI and it is not conflicting each other, considering the work of the Holy Spirit is a central doctrine in the life of Pentecostal congregation; 2) The act of faith in the GBI context might be a necessary role in believing the work of the Holy Spirit in holy communion. Researcher also give some potential challenges and solutions to consider in doing this proposal.]]>

<![CDATA[This article discusses the history of the development of Christian education towards the maturity of Church Christian Education. The research method used is a literature study, by collecting and analyzing various sources related to this topic. In this article will outline the development of Christian education from the early period to the present, as well as the definition and importance of the maturity of Christian Education. Furthermore, this article discusses the role of Christian education in achieving the maturity of Christian Education, including the formation of Christian character, correct understanding of the Bible, and the development of mature Christian theology. The challenges faced in achieving the maturity of Christian education are also discussed in this article, both internally and externally from the church. This article is expected to provide a deeper understanding of the history of the development of Christian education and the importance of achieving the maturity of Christian education, as well as providing recommendations for the future.]]>

<![CDATA[Nazirite is one of the distinctive statuses found in the Old Testament. However, the concept of Naziriteship in the Old Testament is still rarely discussed. Reviewing one of the Nazirs in the Old Testament, namely Samson, creates a lot of confusion because his Nazirite status contradicts his behavior. Therefore, this article is about to examine Samson's destiny and how wicked his behavior was. Then was the suffering at the end of his life related to the breaking of his Nazi vows. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method that examines the text in narrative form and reflects on it for today's Christians. The results obtained from this study are that Samson clearly violated the sanctity of his vows so that he received God's punishment. But on the other hand, God's grace is still there for Samson especially for the people of Israel. Furthermore, today's Christians are God's Nazirs who must reflect God's holiness in living in this world. The promise of self-sanctification must not be broken so that we are not punished by God.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to determine the relationship between the shady times of the congregation and of the great commission according to Matthew 28:19-20 with the cell community at Abbalove Ministries Greenville Maizonette Jakarta. Shady times are an important part of the spiritual of the congregation. For through a quiet time the congregation will experience personal communion with God. But in the practice of pluralizing, it is found that some congregations do not really give time to shady times. Similarly, the commission that aims to evangelize and make disciples is the command of the Lord Jesus but not all believers do the commission. This research uses quantitative methods with correlational techniques. Researchers distributed questionnaires to 102 respondents on a likert scale. Then the received data is processed and analyzed using SPSS Version 21. The results of this study show that there is a significant and strong relationship between the shady time of the congregation and the cell community at Abbalove Ministries Greenville Maizonette Jakarta. There is a significant and strong connection between the understanding of commission according to Matthew 28:19-20 and the cell community at Abbalove Ministries Greenville Maizonete Jakarta. So it can be concluded, that we long for all congregations to be involved in the cell community, to be diligent in personal meditation and to understand the great commission according to Matthew 28:19-20.]]>

<![CDATA[The COVID-19 pandemic experienced by the Indonesian people has had an impact on several aspects, and one of them is the worship activities of all religions in general and Christianity in particular. All worship meetings must be conducted online and cannot be face-to-face. This triggers a considerable influence on the growth of the congregation at CMC Gate Pujian Jakarta. Instead of growing, the number of congregations in this church is actually decreasing. In addition to the influence of online worship, it turns out that the spiritual quality of the workers and servants in the church is also a factor that influences it. Therefore, through quantitative methods, the researc tries to examine the relationship spiritual quality meetings and online worship on the growth of the number of congregations at CMC Gerbang Pujian Jakarta. It was found that the relationship between spiritual quality and online worship has a positive, strong and unidirectional value with congregational growth.]]>

<![CDATA[Mission and evangelism is a command given by the Lord Jesus. He sent His disciples to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teaching them to do everything the Lord Jesus had taught them. Mission and Evangelism need to be done by every believer in this modern age. Since Mark Zuckerberg announced about the metaverse, many people have planned to join and take advantage of the opportunity to do business, and seek profit for their personal life. The church should be able to see the metaverse as an opportunity for mission and evangelism, not reject it. The purpose of this study is to explain why the metaverse is an ideal platform for doing missions and evangelism, along with ways to do mission and evangelism in the metaverse. The method used is descriptive qualitative with content analysis techniques. This research is library research. The results of this study indicate that the metaverse can bring a large number of souls to God by creating an attractive virtual environment and according to the times described in the Bible and every believer can carry out missions and evangelism with the principles of experts. The conclusion of this study is that the metaverse can be used by every believer to carry out missions and evangelism, therefore, the church should not be anti-technology, but the church must use the technology, for the glory of God.]]>

<![CDATA[The aim of this research is to determine the role of parents in introducing God from an early age based on Deuteronomy 6:4-7 and its implications for spiritual growth. Considering the important role of parents in educating, especially early childhood, which is a golden period for growth and character formation, it is necessary to introduce God to them so that they have a strong foundation for their spiritual growth in the future. The condition of teenagers is still unstable, they are easily influenced by their social environment and become involved in delinquency. It is the responsibility of parents to introduce God, teach them to love Him so that faith in Him grows and bears fruit. This research uses descriptive qualitative analytical methods with data collection procedures using observation and interviews. Data analysis techniques, namely reducing and presenting data and researchers interpreting it. The results of the research are that there are parents who educate their children using violence but also with love; Examples given in everyday life and providing guidance. The conclusion is that parents at GBI True Vine Jakarta carry out their role in educating, setting an example, and guiding their children. Showing faith in God, introducing His love. The spirituality of teenagers at GBI True Vine Jakarta grows as they get older, they have faith in Jesus and have a desire to do their best for Him.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to formulate theology of free will as the theological foundation of discipleship strategy of sexual behavior based on 1 Corinthians 6:12-20. The purpose of this paper are based on the reality that there is no discipleship strategy of sexual behavior that are designed specifically to urge youth to control their sexual behavior. The method that are used in this paper is qualitative research method with literature study approach. The paper found that 1 Corinthians 6:12-20 shows discipleship strategy that are done by Paul to the congregation of Corinthians with emphasized to the theology of free will as the solution to control sexual behavior, so that can be the foundation of discipleship strategy of sexual behavior subject matters. Paul studied about free will in his letter by associate it with other theological themes, to wit anthropology, eschatology, christology, ecclesiology, flesh oneness, hamartology, pneumatology, proper, and soteriology. Comprehensive study that Paul has done shows that free will in fact take roles in determines way of life, especially related to someone’s sexual behavior. This paper can conclude that the theology of freewill can be the theological foundation of discipleship strategy of sexual behavior, especially in arranging discipleship of sexual behavior subject matters.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to describe emotional stewardship, characteristics of healthy and unhealthy emotions, Biblical emotions, personality formation, personality traits and the correlation between personality and emotional stewardship. This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods. The research results reveal that a good steward is able to regulate his emotional condition in any condition and situation, and is responsible for it before God. A steward should have healthy emotions, namely not using God as an excuse to run away from Him, releasing negative emotions, accepting the impact of mistakes in the past to learn to be better in the future, living a balanced life between spirituality and the secular, always communing with God. Researchers emphasize that before someone is appointed as a steward in the church, it is better to have guidance both in terms of personality and emotions between fellow workers. Another alternative is to carry out a personality test so that you can find out what the characteristics of the steward are so that you can assess yourself and others. In this way, it is hoped that you will be able to be open to each other and accept the shortcomings and weaknesses of each worker. Researchers concluded that personality is able to influence someone in carrying out emotional stewardship.]]>

<![CDATA[The background to writing this article is the condition of education in Indonesia, including Christian universities, which in practice prioritizes only intellectuality. Even though the curriculum design has been prepared with comprehensive objectives, the facts prove that intellectuals occupy the golden seat in the world of education. Increasing intelligence without being balanced with spirituality, morality and practical skills will bring more harm than benefit. Therefore, this article aims to introduce the principles of curriculum development in Christian universities taken from the prologue of the Book of Proverbs, namely 1:1-7. Proverbs are suitable as a biblical basis for curriculum development because this book was originally used to instruct and educate young people in ancient Israel. The method used is literature study and exegetical analysis. As a result, the Prologue of Proverbs contains spiritual, intellectual, moral-social and practical aspects (problem solving), and it can be concluded that curriculum development in Christian universities needs to touch on these aspects.]]>
