Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Need Motives on the Spiritual Growth of congregational servants. The need motives studied include high-level needs such as being loved and loving, being appreciated and appreciating, and self-actualization, which are compared with low-level needs, namely physiological and security. Using the Slovin formula and α = 5%, the researcher determined a sample of 80 respondents from a population of 100 congregational servants. This study uses a quantitative method with regression analysis to measure the effect of the Need Motive variable (X) on Spiritual Growth (Y). The results of the analysis show a regression equation Ŷ = 91.960 + 1.357X, with a correlation coefficient of 0.567 and a determination coefficient of 0.321 at a significance level of 5%. The regression coefficient of 1.357 indicates that there is a positive influence between Need Motives and Spiritual Growth. The interpretation of these results shows that congregational servants who have met high-level needs are better able to achieve better spiritual growth. In conclusion, the need motive plays a significant role in supporting the spiritual growth of congregational servants.

Abstract

One of the mandatory competencies for teachers in Indonesia is personality. Personality competence is a crucial aspect in shaping the character of students, and the personality competence of Christian education teachers is acquired through learning and experience. For Christian education teachers, it can also be derived from the example of Jesus Christ, the Great Teacher, based on biblical principles. This study aims to explore the characteristics of Jesus in Matthew 9:9-13 and how these characteristics serve as a foundation for the personality of effective Christian education teachers. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using text analysis and literature review methods. The results of this study indicate that the competence and professionalism of Christian education teachers need to be supported by the following attitudes: Leadership characterized by sensitivity and initiative in recognizing opportunities and converting them into actions; Open-mindedness, meaning refraining from making justifications or building subjective assumptions about students; Advocacy, which involves defending, accompanying, and providing answers concerning hope. This study recommends a personality competence model for Christian education teachers based on Leadership Characteristics, Open-mindedness, and Advocacy as a foundation and indicator for assessing the personality of Christian education teachers.

Abstract

Multicultural education has a significant role in creating awareness and empathy for cultural diversity in an increasingly heterogeneous society. AI technology offers opportunities to support this education through personalization of learning, data-based analysis of student needs, and provision of culturally relevant content. This article aims to analyze the effectiveness and ethical challenges of implementing AI in multicultural learning. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a literature review technique, which analyzes literature from Google Scholar and Semantic Scholar related to the use of AI in educational contexts. The results of the study indicate that AI can improve students from various cultural backgrounds, facilitate automatic translation, and support more objective assessments. However, the application of AI in education also faces challenges, including the risk of algorithmic bias and data privacy issues. Algorithms that are not inclusive can reinforce cultural stereotypes, while student data collection raises privacy concerns. The conclusion is that AI has great potential in improving multicultural learning, but requires ethical fences and systems that accommodate cultural diversity so that its implementation can be fair and effective.

Abstract

Quiet quitting has become a concern in the modern workplace because it reflects an imbalance between work demands and individual well-being. This phenomenon impacts work motivation, organizational culture, and company productivity. This study aims to analyze this phenomenon from the perspective of Christian theology of work, by examining the causal factors, impacts, and ethical solutions offered by the principles of faith. Using a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, this study collected data through interviews, surveys, and literature studies of theologians such as Gregori Guitian and Scott Paeth. The results of the study show that although the Bible emphasizes hard work and responsibility, Christian values also teach balance in life, social justice, and respect for the dignity of workers. Quiet quitting does not always conflict with the principles of faith if it is understood as a form of resistance to exploitative work systems and as an effort to maintain mental health. Therefore, the integration of the theology of work into organizational culture is needed to create a fairer work environment, support employee well-being, and build open communication and proper appreciation. In conclusion, work in the Christian faith is a form of worship and service that must be carried out with integrity, dedication, and balance. By applying the principles of the theology of work, organizations can overcome this phenomenon and create a more positive, productive, and meaningful work culture for each individual.
