Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of realistic mathematical approaches to the problem solving abilities of elementary school students in mathematics. This research is quantitative research using experimental methods. The population in this study were all class II elementary school students of Gending Elementary School, Kebomas, Gresik in 2018/2019 academic year, totaling 50 students. Sampling is done by using a total sampling technique where all members of the population become a sample of research with the details of 24 students in the control class (permanent learning using the scientific approach) and 26 students in the experimental class (learning using realistic mathematical approaches). Data collection instruments use the problem solving ability test sheet with comparative analysis for data analysis techniques.Based on the results of data analysis that has been done, the hypothesis test (t test) shows that the significance value obtained is 0.001 smaller than 0.05. That is, there are significant differences in problem solving abilities using realistic mathematical approaches. Besides that, it can be seen from the average value of the control class problem solving ability test of 72.92 with the lowest value of 40 and the highest value of 96.67, while the experimental class gets an average of 87.18 with the lowest value of 50 and the highest value of 100. Which can be taken from this study is because there is a significant difference in the ability of problem solving using realistic mathematical approaches, then there is a significant influence on the use of realistic mathematical approaches to students' problem solving abilities.

Abstract

Application of the Jigsaw Type Cooperative Model Material Energy and Changes for Students in Class III of Banjarejo Elementary School (Guided by Mr. Dr. Irwani Zawawi and Mr.Ismail Marzuki. M.Pd).The purpose of this study was to find out how the application of the jigsaw type cooperative model material energy and changes for students in class III of Banjarejo Elementary School.This research uses field research, so that it can be called the type of qualitative research. Qualitative research is research that produces descriptive data.The students in class III of Banjaarejo Elementary during the learning process of Natural Sciences, students tend to be passive and more active teachers. Students listen more often to what the teacher explains and only accept what is explained by the teacher. This study aims to apply the jigsaw type cooperative learning model material energy and changes for students in class III of Elementary School. Then a qualitative descriptive study was conducted, also observed teacher activity, student activity and student learning outcomes. The results of this study indicate that teacher activity in meetings 1 and 2 had the first meeting score of 76.19% and for the second meeting, 92.85%, by achieving very good criteria, student activity scores 83.3% with very good criteria, and the results of tests of understanding concepts related to material energy and changes shows that the value of students gets 83.7%..

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there are differences in the memory of students who are given the mnemonic method with students who are given conventional methods in class V social studies subjects. The hypothesis proposed in this study is. "Is there a difference in memory between students who are given the mnemonic method and students who are given the conventional method". Methods of data collection are test and non-test (observation, interview and documentation). The statistical test used by using the t-test showed that the pretest of the experimental and control class was 1.1100 and the table was 2.01063. because tcount <t table or 1.1100 <2.01063 with a significance level of 0.05 then H0 is rejected. While the posttest of the experimental and control class was 16.8068 and the table was 2.01063. because tcount> ttable or 16.8068> 2.01063 with a significance level of 0.05 then H0 is accepted. Then the results of this study concluded that the mnemonic method was more effective on students' memory on social studies subjects compared to conventional methods.

Abstract

This type of research uses classroom action research. Consists of 2 cycles, namely: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subject chosen by the researcher is the fifth grade student of SDN Dermo-Benjeng-Gresik, the academic year 2018/2019 which amounts to 15 students. The results of this study showed that in the first cycle 1 the observation of the activities of students averaged 51,43% and in the second cycle II became 75,33%. While the results of the concept understanding test in the first cycle I the classical average value of 53% and in the second cycle II the average value was 80%. In the crease occurred because of improvement in the second cycle II by making learning more interesting. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that using the cooperative type TGT models and POTAKA media can improve the understanding of concepts on mathematics subjects in class V SDN Dermo integer material.

Abstract

Husnul Alfi Syahara (NIM 14441013) Effectiveness of cooperative learning model type group investigation on science subjects fourth grade students Elementary School 1 of Muhammadiyah in Kebomas. Supervised by Nur Fauziyah, M.Pd and Ismail Marzuki, M.Pd.This study aims to describe the cooperative learning model group investigation on science subjects in the fourth grade IV Elementary School 1 of Muhammadiyah in Kebomas. This research is a descriptive research. The research subjects were 35 students. Data collection techniques used were observation and test results of learning by using research instruments in the form of observation sheets of student activities, teacher observation sheet in managing learning, and learning outcomes test sheets.The results of this study indicate that by using cooperative learning models the type of group investigation in science subjects is said to be effective. The activities of students during learning activities using cooperative learning models group investigation type are said to be active because in that category it reaches ≥ 50% which is equal to 81.15%. The ability of teachers to manage learning using the cooperative learning model type of investigation group is said to be effective because it reaches good criteria with a value of 80. The classical student learning outcomes have achieved classical completeness of 88.57%. Based on the results of this study it is recommended for elementary school teachers to apply the cooperative model group investigation type on science subjects.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of enthusiasm of student in following IPA learning because the learning process is stil student centered whichcauses the mastery of the mastery of the concept of the material being studied, so that researchers apply the inquiry learning withthe aim of increasing mastey of concepts of light by using inquiry model of the students in grade V SDN 1Randuagung. This type of research is a classroom action research. The subjects of the study were 36 students ofgrade V SDN 1 Randuagung. Research design used is Arikunto research model. The data collection instrument used is a test sheet used to measure the mastery ofstudent concepts, student and teacher observation sheets used to measure the implementation of student and teacher activities in the application of inquiry. Data analysis of concept mastery and observation data analysis.Based on the results of research and discussion can be concluded that the instructional model of inquiry learning can improve the mastery of the concept of light students class V SDN 1 Randuagung. This can be seen from the everage value of concept mastery in cycle I that is 38,88% which experienced an increase in cycle II while still applying inquiry model that is with an average of 86, 11%.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the speaking skills through local culture based puppet media on storytelling in class IV of UPT SD Negeri 100 Gresik in the academic year 2019-2020. This research is a (Classroom Action Research) conducted collaboratively with class teachers. The design of this study uses the Arifin’s model which consists of 4 stages namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Research subjects were 18 of students. Data collection techniques used are in the form of tests, while research instruments use test sheets to find out the improvement in the speaking skills.Based on the results of the analysis conducted by the researcher, it was found that the improvement in speaking skills in the first cycle reached classical completeness by 83% or 15 students who were complete. So that in the first cycle has reached the classical completeness of 75%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process of applying cooperative script learning models to improve the skill of reading poetry texts to second grade students of SDN Segoromadu. The results of the study obtained in the action of the first cycle showed that the results of the students' poetry reading skills were still under the KKM with a percentage value of 60%. Whereas in the second cycle of action in the application of cooperative script learning models can improve students' poetry reading skills with a percentage value of 75%.

Abstract

Learning Civics in primary schools aims to equip and develop attitudes and moral values in students. The teacher's role is very important in the Civics learning process. Learning Civics in Primary Schools should not be a learning problem for students. But in reality the activities and completeness of student learning outcomes in class V SDN Gembong 1 are still not satisfactory. Students tend to be passive and lazy to follow civics learning, and student learning outcomes are under mastery learning. This is because Civics learning is not presented in an integrative thematic way. Efforts are being made to overcome the problem of Civics learning in class V SDN Gembong 1 is to implement integrative thematic learning on the theme of the sub-theme Relationship between Living Things and the Unity and Unity material Ecosystems. This study aims to improve the activities and learning outcomes of fifth grade students in Civics Education at SDN Gembong 1 Lamongan Regency.This research uses classroom action research (CAR) with a collaboration model. The subjects in this study were all fifth grade students of Gembong 1 Elementary School in Lamongan Regency, with research procedures (1) Planning, (2) Action, (3) Observation, (4) Reflection in each cycle. The instruments in this study were (1) observation sheet of learning activities, (2) formative test questions (3) documentation tools. The results showed that the implementation of integrative thematic learning can improve student learningactivities and outcomes. Increased student learning activities can be seen by observing when learning isapplied according to integrative thematic procedures. While the improvement in student learning outcomes isknown from the acquisition of formative test assessments. Improved learning outcomes from before the action,cycle I and cycle II, namely from completeness of students before the action is 44% increased to a value of65% and in the second cycle increased to 76% so that the percentage increase in student learning outcomesfrom before the action to cycle II is equal to 32%. These results indicate that the application of integrativethematic learning in Civics learning in fifth grade students of SDN Gembonng 1, Lamongan Regency canimprove student learning activities and outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to improve the feasibility of science literacy-based media in students of various styles of material. The results of the PISA and TIMSS survey in this year stated that the scientific literacy skills of Indonesian students are in the low category. One of the efforts that can improve scientific literacy skills is through learning media. Learning media can be in the form of audio, visual, and audiovisual, for grade IV students, visual media can be easily understood by students during learning. The media that will be chosen in this research is comic media based on science literacy. This research uses a development research type. The development of learning media based on scientific literacy is carried out by research and development steps from the Thiagarajan and Semmel models which consist of four steps, namely: defining, planning, developing, and disseminating which will later be used as the research foundation. The development of Upin & Ipin's comic media is based on seven indicators of scientific literacy. This literacy-based comic media was tested with five validators, namely content validation, language validation, graphic validation, scientific literacy validation, and user validation. The results of the validation test stated that 80% of the validation of content experts, 81.25% of language validation, 87.5% of graphic validation, 92.86% of validation of scientific literacy experts, and 95% of user validation. Based on the results of the validation, the content expert validation showed that comic media was included in the feasible category, while for the other four validations it indicated that comic media was included in the very feasible category. Based on the data, it can be concluded that this literacy-based comic media is very feasible in increasing students' scientific literacy skills, especially at the elementary school level.
