Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the factors that influence the incidence of stunting in families with children in the Kapuas River area according to the characteristics of the region and its population. This research uses a descriptive research method with a cross sectional approach to study the dynamics of the correlation between factors that influence stunting using an observational, data collection or approach. The research results obtained showed that the growth history factor with the incidence of stunting obtained a significance value of 0.091>0.05, the history of giving breast milk with the incidence of stunting obtained a significance value of 0.000<0.0, the history of giving MPASI with the incidence of stunting obtained a significance value of 0.071>0.05, family history with the incidence of stunting, a significance value was obtained of 0.019<0.05, a history of infectious disease with the incidence of stunting obtained a significance value of 0.084>0.05, and the mother's psychological pattern with the incidence of stunting obtained a significance value of 0.000<0.05. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between the history of breastfeeding, family history and the incidence of stunting, and the psychological pattern of the mother and the incidence of stunting in influencing the incidence of stunting in families with toddlers in the Kapuas River suburbs. Abstract

This study aimed to identify the relationship between self acceptance and fluid adherence in ESRD patients undergoing HD. This study used cross sectional design with consecutive sampling of 121 respondents. Data collection used fluid adherence questionnaires, self acceptance scale and documentation studies. The analysis used chi square and logistic regression. The result showed that 79,3% of respondents had adherence to fluid restriction and 78,5% of them had self acceptance. The analysis result also showed there was a significant relationship between self acceptance and fluid adherence (p=0,024), but no significant relationship between self-acceptance and IDWG (p=0.154). There was significant relationship between confounding variable of the length of time undergoing HD and fluid adherence (p=0.033), adequacy HD and IDWG (p=0,011). However, other confounding variables were not significant relationship with fluid adherence, which were: age, gender, education, and comorbidities. Furthermore, the multivariat analysis found that self acceptance was the most dominant variable affecting fluid adherence (p=0.006) after controlling by variables of the sex and the length of time undergoing HD, which can predicted 21% to fluid adherence. In conclusion, from the results of this study, it was found that there was a significant relationship between self-acceptance and length of time undergoing hemodialysis with fluid adherence in terminal renal failure patients undergoing hemodialysis. Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between postpartum mothers' knowledge and food abstinence during the postpartum period. This research method uses a quantitative research type with a cross sectional study design. The population in this study was 55 people, with a simple random sampling technique with a sample size of 48 people. The analysis method uses statistical tests, namely the chi square and Cramer's tests. The results of this study indicate that the knowledge of post partum mothers is moderately related to abstaining from food during the postpartum period. The value obtained is (X2 Hit= 5.802 > North Wowonii District, Konawe Islands Regency. Keywords: Postpartum Period, Food Abstinence, Knowledge

Abstract

The purpose of this scoping review is to identify how the application of EWS to detecting acute deterioration in adult patients in general ward hospital. The method used was a scoping review and the literature has been obtained from searches derived from four databases originating from PubMed, Scopus, Sage, and CINAHL. The results showed that the implementation of EWS consisted of 6 components (vital sign recording, EWS scoring and reading, EWS protocol, clinical response based on escalation protocol, information assistance process using bundle communication (SBAR), medical emergency team (MET) system activation). Seven main of vital sign have to measured are respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, oxygen supplementation, temperature, pulse, systolic blood pressure, and level of consciousness. Persistence and additional commitment since 2009 were identified as significantly increasing benefits during the implementation of EWS instruments to improve patient outcomes. This success was obtained from experience that can increase the knowledge and competence of nurses. Changes in the risk of the EWS score can be read by nurses as an indication of clinical deterioration that requires stabilization interventions. Innovations have also been carried out since 2013 which have been successfully implemented in various countries, especially in 2019 and 2021 which are called EWS electronic. Based on this study, EWS proved to be accurate in detecting deterioration in patients. Therefore, to improve the implementation of EWS nurses must have good knowledge, because in implementing EWS requires critical thinking, and the ability to analyze numerical score classifications as a basis for decision making. Abstract

This research aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the dimensions of patient safety briefings implemented in clinical settings in hospitals and their impact on the dimensions of safety culture. This research is a scoping review using a literature search through the Scopus, CINAHL, and Medline databases. Research results, of the 472 research articles identified, 20 of them met the inclusion criteria. The research article describes the dimensions of patient safety briefings and dimensions of patient safety. Data from the results of the scoping review explains the implementation of patient safety briefings and the positive impact on the dimensions of safety culture in clinical settings in hospitals. In conclusion, complex research describes the dimensions of patient safety briefings in clinical care settings. This dimension explains the steps on how to carry out a standard patient safety briefing in a hospital clinical setting or clinical service. Empirical research regarding the dimensions of patient safety briefings has an impact on patient safety culture and improves patient safety in the context of hospital risk management. The potential for future research is to examine more broadly each dimension of patient safety briefings and their impact on clinical settings in hospitals. Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of the Spinal Cord Independence Measure (SCIM) III as a functional measurement tool for spinal cord injury patients in Indonesia. The method used was cross-sectional as a pilot project. The population of this study were trauma and non-traumatic spinal cord injury patients. The results of this study indicate that SCIM III can assess the patient's functional status in self-care, bladder management, bowel management, and mobilization. In conclusion, SCIM III is an objective and reliable questionnaire that can be used as a tool to measure the functional ability of SCI patients. In addition, SCIM can be used to determine interventions that are appropriate to the patient's condition so that the outcome of the rehabilitation phase of care to make the patient independent can be achieved optimally.
