Abstract

This study aims to prove the effect of adding haruan fish extract powder (Channa striata) on increasing the strength of type II Glass Ionomer Cement (GIC) filling materials. The method used is a laboratory experimental method with a post-test-only control group design approach. There are 6 treatment groups, namely the addition of 10mg, 20mg, 30mg, 40mg, 50mg, and without addition (pure). This research was conducted at the Dental Materials Laboratory, Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry Study Program, Mulawarman University and PT. Sucofindo Samarinda. The study was conducted from August 2022 to March 2023. The results showed that the greatest compressive strength of glass ionomer cement (GIC) was found in pure glass ionomer cement (GIC) without the addition of haruan fish extract which showed a compressive strength value of 37.0 MPa. The more amount of haruan fish extract powder added, the lower the strength of the glass ionomer cement will be. There is a difference in compressive strength between pure glass ionomer cement (GIC) without haruan fish extract powder and glass ionomer cement (GIC) with haruan fish extract. In conclusion, Glass Ionomer Cement (GIC) type II without the addition of fish extract powder must have the greatest compressive strength compared to the addition of 10 mg, 20 mg, 30 mg, 40 mg, and 50 mg. The addition of haruan fish extract powder decreased the strength of the glass ionomer cement and no color change occurred. Abstract

This review aims to examine patient engagement in care activities to improve patient safety. The research method uses an integrative literature review. A systematic search was carried out in the databases PubMed, ProQuest, Science Direct, Medline, Cochrane Library and Winley Online Library. The keywords used in the search are: (Patient participation OR Patient involvement OR Patient engagement) AND (Health care OR Care) AND (Patient safety). Articles must come from international databases, be published within the last 5 years and focus on patient engagement, care and patient safety with full text. Articles will be excluded if they do not focus on objectives, are more than 5 years old and if they have been reviewed. As a result of research, nine articles identified in this review that the patient's role in care can improve patient safety and the nurse's role in encouraging patients to participate in care can contribute to improving patient safety. In conclusion, patient involvement in patient safety activities can improve the safety of patients in hospitals. Keywords: Patient Safety, Patient Involvement, Care

Abstract

This study aims to determine the risk factors for cesarean section delivery. The method used is an analytic observational study with a case-control design, namely comparing the case group and the control group. The results showed that the risk factor associated with cesarean section delivery was the age of the mother (ρ=0.004; OR=0.368; 95% CI=0.191-0.710). Old labor with values (ρ=0.019; OR=0.206; 95%CI95%CI=0.57-0.748). Placental condition with values (ρ=0.023; OR=9.828; 95% CI=1.220-79.166). Preeclampsia with a value (ρ=0.004; OR=3.667; 95% CI=1.554-8.653). History of caesarean section delivery (ρ=0.000; OR=8.556; 95% CI=3.736-19.591). Risk factors for caesarean section delivery that have a relationship are maternal age, prolonged labor, placental conditions, preeclampsia, and history of caesarean section delivery. while the risk factors that have no relationship are pelvic conditions, abnormal location, macrosomia, number of fetuses, fetal distress, premature rupture of membranes, preterm labor, and preterm labor. In conclusion, knowing the factors of caesarean section is expected to reduce the incidence of cesarean section for the welfare of the mother and fetus by promoting health and providing health services according to the needs of the mother and fetus from an early age so as not to have complications in labor and pregnancy. Abstract

This study aims to identify the negative impact of using the Double J Stent (DJ stent) in patients with urinary tract stones. The method used is a Scoping Review using the Arksey & O'Malley (2005) framework through the Science Direct, Pubmed, and Scopus databases in the last five years (2017-2022). The research results showed ten articles identified the negative impact of DJ stent installation after ureteroscopy (URS), including pain, Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS), urinary tract infections, sexual dysfunction, and decreased physical activity. In conclusion, the negative impact of DJ stent installation causes morbidity and reduces quality of life. Keywords: Ureteral stones, Impact, DJ Stent, Ureteroscopy

Abstract

This research aims to analyze drug management at the Purwokerto Dadi Keluarga Pharmacy Installation using efficiency indicators and implementing improvement strategies using the Hanlon method. The method used is a descriptive design for 2018 data which is retrospective and concurrent. Data was collected in the form of quantitative and qualitative data from document observations and interviews with relevant IFRS officers. The research results show that the drug management system at RSDK Purwokerto does not meet standards. From the results of this research, it is necessary to carry out a priority analysis of strategic plans for improving drug management using the Hanlon method, the results are in accordance with the priority scale order as follows; Minimize dead stock of medicines by carrying out good medicine planning so that medicines experience transactions. By re-evaluating the selection of drugs with prescriptions outside the National Forum by considering drugs that rarely have cases of disease/rarely used, re-evaluating at the selection stage, for the quantity needed and type of drug procurement, carrying out drug planning ( RKO) in the management information system, coordinating to avoid polypharmacy, proposing an increase in the drug procurement budget to the drug procurement section, proposing an increase in drug budget costs to the hospital. In conclusion, the current drug management system does not meet standards, the implementation of improvement strategies using the Hanlon method aims to improve and improve drug management efficiency at the Purwokerto Dadi Keluarga Pharmacy Installation. Abstract

This research aims to examine the implementation of skin-to-skin contact for LBW, which includes an analysis of when it is fastest to start, how long it lasts, and what the impact is. The research method used was a systematic review through searches in electronic databases, namely Proquest, Scopus, EBSCOhost, Clinical Key, and Clinical Key for Nursing from 2013 to 2023. The study results showed that early skin-to-skin contact for LBW was safe from eight research articles. Starting in the first 24 hours of life, including mild to moderate unstable conditions, still using a breathing apparatus and IV line (umbilical or central). The initial duration starts from 40 minutes to 16 hours per day. The impact is in the form of a higher rate of weight gain, reduced need for parenteral nutrition, longer duration of breastfeeding, better immunological function and lung function, better sleep patterns, lower prolonged crying patterns, lower markers of stress in babies and mothers, and mortality rates. In the first month, it was quieter. In conclusion, skin-to-skin contact for LBW is safe to do from an early age, including for unstable LBW in the mild to moderate category; the duration starts from 40 minutes and is increased gradually according to the baby's tolerance and has been proven to have many positive impacts on both the baby and the mother. Abstract

This study aims to identify the application of the Early Warning Score (EWS) system to patient safety. The method used is Literature Review. Article searches have been carried out comprehensively using the Pubmed and Google Scholar databases. Search for articles with the keywords Early Warning Score, Emergency, Patient Safety. The research results show that safety increases from early detection using EWS. EWS is very influential in improving patient safety. EWS is a scoring system that is simple, practical, easy to use and does not increase the workload of nurses. The influence of nurse competency using EWS can improve patient safety because it makes nurses compete to improve knowledge and skills, nurse communication, decision making, and collaboration with other health workers. In conclusion, the application of the Early Warning Score is very influential in supporting patient safety, where the Early Warning Score can detect patient deterioration early so that nurses are able to carry out further nursing actions. Apart from that, nurses' understanding and good nursing skills can support patient safety. Keywords: Emergency, Patient safety, Early Detection Score
