Abstract

This research aims to identify the effectiveness of 5 pillars of education in controlling blood sugar levels. The method used in EBNP is a case study design. The application of EBNP begins with an article search by selecting articles that use the RCT method with the keyword "Education Video IN DIABETIC PATIENTS." The results of this EBNP research show that education on applying the five pillars video effectively controls blood sugar levels with a p-value of 0.01. In conclusion, using the five pillars of teaching effectively prevents blood sugar levels in diabetes patients at Tarakan Regional Hospital, Jakarta. Keywords: EBNP, 5 Pillar Education, Blood Sugar

Abstract

The aim of the research is to find out the experiences of families who have drug-using children living in society. This research uses a cross-sectional design. This research method uses a cross-sectional design. The research results show that the p-value = 0.000 is smaller than the α = 0.05, which means that there is an influence on the experience of families who have drug-using children living in society. Conclusion through the Family, it is hoped that the community health center will always be responsive and proactive to all problems experienced by families who have children who use drugs. Abstract

This study aims to see the effectiveness of using an electronic stethoscope compared to a conventional one in patients with heart valve disorders. The method used in this writing is a systematic review through several databases, namely Pubmed, ClinicalKey, Proquest, Science Direct, and Scopus. The article analysis process uses the PRISMA method. The research results show that electronic stethoscopes are more expensive because many parts and applications/software are added. Still, they are very efficient in accurately diagnosing specific heart sound abnormalities and have more advantages than conventional stethoscopes. In conclusion, electronic stethoscopes are very effective and efficient in increasing the speed and accuracy of diagnosing specific heart sound abnormalities, so they have more benefits. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the level of independence of the elderly and personal hygiene behavior. This research method uses a correlational descriptive quantitative study approach using bivariate Spearman rank analysis. Data collection used the Katz Index questionnaire and personal hygiene questionnaire. The research showed that 90.2% of older people were wholly independent, and 63.9% of older people were good at personal hygiene. The results of the Spearman rank test show a relationship between the level of independence of the elderly and personal hygiene behavior with a value of p = 0.000. In conclusion, older people are in good condition. They can carry out all their activities independently and have good personal hygiene behavior. There is a relationship between the level of independence of the elderly and individual hygiene behavior. Keywords: Elderly, Personal Hygiene, Level of Independence

Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of Inti Muda Papua in preventing the transmission of HIV/AIDS to adolescents in Jayapura Regency. The method used is qualitative research with an exploratory phenomenology approach. The results of the study found four themes of facilities provided by the Papuan Youth Core organization to teenagers with HIV/AIDS, Monitoring and Evaluation Program in HIV/AIDS prevention, Experiences of members of the Papuan Youth Core organization, the role of the Papuan Youth Core organization is expected to be carried out by developing programs that structured in terms of reducing the spread of the HIV/AIDS virus by organizing and collaborating with other organizations throughout the world that are involved in reducing the spread of HIV/AIDS. In conclusion, the actions given by the organization to teenagers infected with HIV/AIDS and teenagers who are not infected are through the dissemination of information, apart from programs arranged by health services in undergoing treatment programs as well as support from the family and the surrounding environment. Abstract

This research aims to develop an instrument that detects bio, psycho, social, and spiritual decline in elderly hospital patients by using theoretical concepts in nursing care. The research method uses cross-sectional, with validity and reliability tests using the Product Moment correlation test. The research results show that the bio, psycho, social, and spiritual deterioration detection instrument consists of 26 questions with high validity and reliability. This instrument has been based on various concepts that focus on the individual's bio, psychological, social, and spiritual needs. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of continuous professional development in hospitals. The method used is a case report including assessment, problem identification, problem analysis using fishbone, preparation of a Plan of Action (PoA), implementation, and evaluation. The research results show that the main problem is that continuous professional development could have been more optimal. The problem was solved using Kurt Lewin's planned change approach, with the implementation preparing a draft guide for implementing sustainable professional development. Conclusion: The situation in hospital management is that the performance of continuous professional development could be more optimal. The strategy to optimize the implementation of ongoing professional development is to create a guide that becomes a reference for nurses following the continuous professional development program. Abstract

This study aims to describe the dependence on smoking behavior and nutritional status of active smoker teenagers at SMAN 9 Garut. The method used is a quantitative descriptive method. The research results showed that 36.7% of active smokers at SMAN 9 Garut were not addicted, 28.5% had a low dependency, 33.5% had a moderate dependency, and 1.3% had a high dependency. Meanwhile, the nutritional status was as thin as 52.5%, normal as much as 38.6%, and obesity as much as 8.9%. In conclusion, dependence on smoking behavior is at a moderate level, and nutritional status is poor. However, the level of support for smoking behavior is not a benchmark for decreasing students' nutritional status. This happens because other factors influence the nutritional quality of adolescents. Abstract

This study aims to determine nurses' compliance with the six steps for washing hands in the medical surgical room in the Cihampelas Building, Bandung Adventist Hospital. This research method uses quantitative research with descriptive analysis by observing nurses washing their hands. This research showed that 98.7% of nurses had complied with the six steps for hand washing, and 0.4% had yet to. The study concludes that nurses who abide by the six steps of hand washing are good, but some still need to comply with the six steps. It is recommended that nurses continue carrying out the six steps for washing hands and assess factors influencing compliance. Keywords: Washing Hands, Six Steps

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Assertiveness Training (AT) in reducing the risk of violent behavior in schizophrenia patients. The method used by researchers is a single instrumental study with a collection process based on scanning data and integrated patient progress records to evaluate each existing activity and development. The study's results showed that after being given Assertiveness Training (AT), the signs and symptoms of violent behavior decreased, and the ability to overcome the risk of violent behavior increased. So, it can be concluded that providing Assertiveness Training (AT) to patients who are at risk of violent behavior can reduce behavioral signs and symptoms at risk of violent behavior and increase ability. The conclusion is that providing Assertiveness Training (AT) to patients who are at risk of violent behavior can reduce behavioral signs and symptoms of risk of violent behavior and increase ability.
