Abstract

Most of the waste generated by residents in Sumedang area is in the form of organic waste. The abundance of household waste such as rice, vegetable waste, animal waste can be utilized by the community as a solution to the household waste accumulation. The potential for organic waste from domestic activities is one source that can be applied as fish feed. The purpose of this activity is therefore that the community can utilize the potential of household waste originate around their area as a raw material for fish feed. The method applied in this activity was counseling containing information and demonstrations on the utilization of organic waste into fish feed with fermentation techniques provided by resource persons from academics. The target audience for this activity is the community in the location, namely Gudang Village, Tanjungsari District, Sumedang Regency, especially the Freshwater Fisheries Group. The parties that support the implementation of this activity include the Biomethagreen Education House and community members in the location. Counseling on the manufacture of fish feed is very beneficial for people who have daily agricultural and fish and poultry farming activities in the hope of being able to reduce the amount of waste that pollutes the environment and utilize household waste as feed. The good response and enthusiasm given by the participants at the location was a factor that contributed to the smooth running of this activity. The Gudang Village community, which has high potential in carrying out fishery and livestock activities, makes it an opportunity to provide feed sourced from household waste raw materials, not only for fish feed but can also be used for animal feed.

Abstract

The application of artificial insemination (AI) technology using exotic bovine semen often causes pregnancy failure, abortion, disocia and other birth disorders. The result is frequent repeated mating, losses in terms of energy, cost and time, delays in regeneration during productive life, and reproductive inefficiencies. The problem is, farmers do not know much about the factors that cause AI results to fail, so they need to be given counseling. Providing information, understanding and skills to the public on ways to manage reproduction properly and correctly to prevent re-mating and dystocia in cattle after artificial insemination. The activity was carried out using a participatory method through counseling, discussion and brief coaching, taking place in Sintung Village which is the activity center and secretariat of farmer-livestock groups in the Pringgarata District. The target audience is the heads and members of farmer-livestock groups and other farming communities. Community service is quite successful. The participants were very interested in the material presented. After counseling the participants obtained information, understanding and skills to increase the success of IB. Participants were educated on how to select prospective broodstock recipients, choose the type of male semen, management of pregnant sows, pregnant cages and delivery. Need marriage records, know the signs and predictions of birth, birth handling by a veterinarian or veterinary paramedic. The supporting factor for the activity was the enthusiasm of the counseling and discussion participants, while the inhibiting factor was the massive outbreak of PMK in almost all sub-districts which limited the freedom of activity a bit. Service activities run well and smoothly. The participants benefited from the knowledge of reproductive management to prevent re-mating.

Abstract

Dewasa ini penyakit tidak menular (PTM) terus mengalami peningkatan yang disebabkan oleh perubahan lingkungan, perilaku masyarakat, transisi demografi, sosial ekonomi dan sosial budaya serta bertambahnya harapan hidup. Posbindu PTM merupakan bentuk peran serta masyarakat dalam upaya pengendalian faktor risiko secara mandiri dan berkesinambungan. Keterlibatan masyarakat pada Posbindu PTM dilakukan secara terintegrasi dan rutin di lingkungan tempat tinggal dalam wadah desa/kelurahan siaga aktif, di lingkugan tempat kerja ataupun di organisasi/ lembaga lainnya. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor risiko penyakit tidak menular dan status kesehatan civitas akademika FK Unram. Kegiatan diawali dengan wawancara faktor risiko, pemeriksaan fisik berupa pengukuran berat badan dan tinggi badan dilanjutkan pemeriksaan darah sederhana (rapid test) untuk mengetahui kadar gula darah puasa, kolesterol, dan asam urat. Kegiatan skrining diikuti 38 orang terdiri dari 21 laki-laki dan 17 orang perempuan tenaga kependidikan FK Unram. Berdasarkan hasil skrining didapatkan 6 orang (15,78%) memiliki tekanan darah >120/80 mmHg, 11 orang (28,95%) mengalami hiperkolesterolemia dan 2 orang (5,26%) dari 38 tendik. Selain itu, didapatkan juga 6 orang memiliki riwayat merokok dan 1 orang dengan riwayat hipertensi. Dilakukan edukasi kepada semua tenaga kependidikan terkait upaya pencegahan dan pengendalian PTM. Bagi tendik yang mengalami masalah kesehatan dianjurkan memeriksakan diri lebih lanjut ke Klinik Unram. Pembentukan dan pengembangan Pos Pembinaan Terpadu (Posbindu) di lingkungan civitas akademika Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Mataram dapat menjadi salah satu wadah dalam pengembangan tindakan promotif dan preventif

Abstract

The MSME group of golf bags and leather handicrafts of Kalit tengah Sidoarjo village is one of the groups affected by covid 19. The MSME group has difficulties in terms of accounting and marketing records which have an impact on the development of MSMEs. The MSME group sometimes finds it difficult in terms of android-based marketing and the thought "this is how it's just not going to be weird". In this regard, assistance will be carried out regarding accounting and marketing records using e-leathergoods.id to the managers of the Golf Bag MSME group and leather handicrafts. The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the quality of systematic android-based accounting and marketing records for the sake of increasing professionalism and can be the basis for conducting profit / loss analysis per month. Activity method: The implementation of this assistance will use the focus group discussion method, through this assistance it is expected to provide benefits in recording android-based accounting and marketing using e-leathergoods.id for the MSME group of Golf Bags and Leather Handicrafts of Kalit tengah Village Tanggulangin Sidoarjo. The result of this community service activity is that the Managers of the Golf Bag MSME group and leather handicrafts of Kalit tengah Sidoarjo Village are able to operate the leathesgood.id application in financial management and marketing through continuous assistance. In conclusion, the manager of the Golf Bag MSME group and leather handicrafts of Kalit tengah Sidoarjo Village through the leathesgood.id application has been able to carry out quality accounting and marketing records both conventionally and through android-based applications. This android Leathersgood.id application can be integrated with direct marketing so that the managers of The Golf Bag And Leather Handicraft MSME group can find out the number of sales transactions in real time and profit / loss per month.

Abstract

Stunting is a serious threat for children, because it is affected thinking skill and ability to catching up on lesson. One of the causes of stunting is low nutritional intake for toddlers, pregnant women and low public awareness of the importance of a diverse and nutritious diet. The aim of implementing this community service activity is to increase the knowledge of mothers who have toddlers with indications of stunting about stunting, the causes and effects of stunting, as well as prevention of stunting through extension activities, education on local food processing to meet various needs for additional food, nutritious and balanced for pregnant women and toddlers. Extension activities are carried out using a group approach in the form of meetings, training and demonstrations, as well as an individual approach, namely visits to target homes with stunted children. The implementation of a series of extension activities went well, the target was very enthusiastic, participated actively during the process and good cooperation was established between members of the community service team with the target. Extension using a combination of group approach methods, namely extension at posyandu followed by individual/door to door visits gave effective results. In the individual approach, the delivery of counseling materials directly or face to face, is also carried out by providing healthy additional food such as milk, healthy biscuits, healthy snacks and accompaniment in consuming them. The training for posyandu cadres on processing local food into healthy snacks, how to measure height, use growth mats, and weighing toddlers by presenting competent resource persons has been very good and participatory. An increase in target knowledge regarding stunting, its causes, impacts, and prevention has been achieved, as well as an increase in the ability of posyandu cadres to measure weight and height.

Abstract

The balance between the social and economic fields of rural communities is a goal of the Indonesian government, which is related to the development of human resources which then has an impact on increasing community income. This Community Partnership Program was conducted to the PKK group in East Minanga Village, Pusomaen Sub-District, Southeast Minahasa Regency. The background of this program is based on environmental problems in the form of plastic waste pollution and economic problems in the community that require creative business alternatives. As a non-biodegradable material, plastic waste that is generally generated from the consumption of drinks or food from the community is often piled up and clogs the drainage flow of the community, resulting in flooding. Therefore, the main objective of this program is to find solutions to handle plastic waste through the application of technology and improve community skills through making crafts from plastic waste. The method used is a community development approach where the community is directly involved during the program and involves the participation of the government and of course students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering at Politeknik Negeri Manado. From the results of the program, there was an increase in group skills in processing plastic waste into fuel oil with a production amount of 3-4 kg of PP and LDPE type plastic waste to produce approximately 8 liters of kerosene substitute fuel. In addition, the increase in group knowledge in processing plastic waste into handicrafts is an achievement that opens the emergence of new business groups that have an impact on increasing family income. It is hoped that the results of this program can make East Minanga Village a pilot village that encourages the dissemination of research technology to improve the quality and prosperity of people's lives.

Abstract

Tasiwalie Village is one of the coastal villages located in Suppa districtc which is named Lowita Beach. This beach has been very crowded since 2015, both local and foreign visitors. However, all activities on the beach stopped due to Covid-19 in 2019. PKM activity was carried out to diversify milkfish ice cream as an increase in income for housewives (IRT) in Tasiwalie village, Suppa district. The purpose of this activity is to provide training to IRTs in opening up insight into home industry entrepreneurship through processed milkfish products into milkfish ice cream. Implementation of activities October 29, 2022. The method of implementation includes socialization which aims to provide an overview of the benefits of fish consumption and various ways of processing fishery products. The PKM team itself provided tools and materials for activities by empowering milkfish from ponds in Tasiwalie village itself. Furthermore, we provide training in the form of hands-on practice on how to make milkfish ice cream. As a result of this PKM activity, the IRT and local residents know the benefits of consuming fish and various processed fishery products. During the practice process, it went well and the IRTs easily understood the ingredients and steps in the process of making milkfish ice cream. The practice results are packed with a quantity of 80 cups of ice cream. An IRT can start a business from the IRT itself or submit a proposal for village assistance. This activity can hone the spirit of creativity in entrepreneurship to increase household income. It can be the first step in cultivating a new spirit after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The flood disaster that hit South Kalimantan in 2021 resulted in most fish cultivators not being able to raise fish in floating net cages again because they did not have much capital. Some fish cages that are still cultivating tilapia in floating net cages have very slow growth. The purpose of this PDWA activity is to increase knowledge and skills, meet the nutritional needs of families, and increase the income of members of the group of partner mothers in Awang Bangkal Timur Village, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan. Activity Method (1) Extension and discussion. (2) Demonstration and participation. (3) Training and mentoring, and (4). Evaluation. The results of the PDWA activity were quite successful, namely from the demonstration plot of male monosex tilapia cultivation with artificial feeding for 3 months showed quite rapid growth. The average growth rate of tilapia is 240.3 grams kept for 3 months in a round pond, so this pilot can clearly prove to mothers, especially the target audience, that male monosex tilapia that is kept can be used as an effort to increase family income. . The final weight of the tilapia population was 237.975 kg with the amount of feed given for 3 months of 450 kg. Thus the feed conversion is 1.89. The evaluation value of the level of knowledge before explaining the theory averaged 8.47, after explaining the theory there was a significant increase in value, which was an average of 25.82. The results of data analysis showed that there was a change in the level of knowledge and skill level of the community regarding the technology of male monosex tilapia cultivation. The conclusions of the activity were (1) There was an increase in the knowledge of the partner group mothers regarding the technology that was presented. (2) There is an increase in the skills of partner group mothers after a demonstration or pilot is carried out.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Micro-businesses carried out by tuna processing groups in Tial Country, Salahutu District, Central Maluku Regency are still constrained by the availability of raw materials. Rare and abundant in certain seasons so that it affects the production process. During certain seasons, the fish is stored frozen. Not infrequently when it will be used fish meat is dark and smelly. The resulting processed product is not as expected. The micro businesses that are being carried out are still limited to shredded products, nuggets, meatballs, dragon feet and are produced according to order requirements. This PKM aims to provide information to the public about how to make wet surimi and dry surimi and its application as a fortification agent in fish sticks and cookies. The method used in this community service activity uses lecture, discussion and training methods. The target is the tuna processing group “Mahina Solemata. After being given training, there was an increase in the participants' knowledge from not knowing to knowing. The participants admitted that they felt very helpful with the information provided. According to them, the manufacture of wet surimi and dry surumi can be a solution to overcome the availability of raw materials, guarantee quality uniformity so that production can take place throughout the year. The application of wet surimi and dry surimi into fish sticks and cookies can also provide added value to fish processing fishermen groups in diversifying processed tuna products so that the skills and welfare of the group are increasing.
