Abstract

One of the things that causes the rapid spread of the virus is dirty hands. To overcome this, you can do it by keeping your hands clean by using a handrub. Handrub is a health product that is widely used by people during the COVID-19 pandemic. This activity aims to train students to make handrubs and produce a health product that is used for the wider community as a way to prevent COVID-19 infection in Islamic boarding schools. The training was carried out at the Sekarbela Nurul Islam Islamic boarding school through lecture, discussion and practice methods with the aim of increasing knowledge through counseling activities and making handrub formulations as an effort to prevent COVID-19 infection in the pesantren environment. Partners in this community service activity are 23 students of Pondok Nurul Islam Sekarbela. This training activity was carried out by Mataram University lecturers in 4 stages, namely: preparation, counseling on material about Covid-19, PHBS Demonstration (Clean and healthy living behavior) and Handrub making activities in practice. The preparatory stage is in the form of discussions with the board of the Islamic boarding school for community service at Pondok Nurul Islam Sekarbela regarding the schedule for carrying out activities. The implementation phase is carried out in three sessions. The first session was to present counseling material about Covid-19. The second session was demonstrating PHBS (Clean and Healthy Living Behavior) and hand washing dance. The third stage is the practice of making handrub directly in front of the students. This service activity received a good response. From the implementation of this counseling activity, it can increase knowledge related to Covid-19 prevention, PHBS and students have skills in making handrub.

Abstract

The ducklings of the Mong Glemong livestock group were obtained from self-breeding results from local mating of local ducks, so that the productivity of the breeds was still low. To improve the quality of laying ducks through breeding technology in the Mong Glemong livestock group, Dasan Cermen Village, Mataram. Method: The approach to realizing the program is a participatory method, that is, each activity is carried out jointly with partners. Participation of partners in program activities is to provide locations where activities are carried out and participate in all programmed activities, while the proposer provides the necessary duck seeds and feed as well as technical guidance. Result: The program that has been designed together with group members is running well, and the benefits have been felt very positively by the group. The results obtained include the availability of special nursery cages for each group member, 2). Availability of hatching room for duck eggs in groups, 3). Availability of adequate incubator to incubate eggs. Conclusion: Currently, duck breeders in the "Mong Glemong" livestock group can produce good hatching eggs and ducklings.

Abstract

Efforts to efficiently utilize fishery products and economic value to extend the shelf life of fish are called fishery processing. Traditional markets and household scale industries still dominate the fishery processing industry. The processing and marketing group for fishery products in the Sukamoro sub-district is Poklahsar Rule Athallah. The application of technology that is capable of processing waste products and minimizing the remaining waste as well as the availability of raw materials both in quality and quantity and at relatively low prices must be supported by the development of appropriate processed fishery products. This activity aims to increase knowledge and skills in processing fishery products for Poklahsar Rule Athallah that meet Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards. The activity method used is lecture, pre-test and post-test. The results of the activities show that: 1). The understanding of Poklahsar members regarding the importance of joint efforts in one group is good. The implementation of the activities consisted of visits and meetings aimed at explaining in full the technological innovations of catfish-based fish processing, packaging, product labeling, and compiling simple business bookkeeping. 2). Craftsmen's knowledge of GMP and HACCP aspects is good. The results of the initial assessment showed that the average knowledge of the partner group on the development of a processing business made from catfish was 36.8%. While the average response value of the partner group after the implementation of the activity was 74.3%. This shows an increase in the knowledge of the partner group. In addition, the variation in the value of the partner group's response to the list of questions asked decreased from 5.12 to 4.68. The implementation of GMP and HACCP by members of the Rule Athallah Poklahsar could not be fully implemented due to various limitations.

Abstract

There has been a decrease in the income of the people of West Pamulang, which was caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the imposition of continuous activity restrictions causing a reduction in income. From these problems, the community must have the skills and knowledge needed to survive. One thing that can be done is to utilize unproductive land so that it can produce something that has economic value. One of them is grape cultivation. From the description above, the knowledge and skills needed include grape cultivation, hydroponic systems, knowledge of product quality management, marketing and financial systems to knowledge of agro-tourism and how to manage it so that it is successful. On this issue, community service activities are made as a channel of knowledge and skills from lecturers and students of the Indonesian Institute of Technology to the people of West Pamulang. A participatory approach by looking at local potential is chosen so that it is easily accepted by the community. In addition, community formation was also chosen to facilitate coordination and transfer of knowledge to the community. From the community side, the resulting output is an increase in knowledge, the provision of Appropriate Technology equipment that supports the cultivation and management of Agro-tourism. Abstract

Mangrove ecosystems have potential both ecologically, economically, physically, and chemically, but pressure from anthropogenic activities has resulted in increased degradation of mangrove ecosystems. Poka Village has several mangrove areas that have been damaged either by land clearing or by industrial waste. Therefore, ecosystem restoration was carried out in the coastal waters of Poka Village using biodegradable materials (BESE-Elements), where this activity is a community service activity, in collaboration with the Maritime Center of Pattimura University and Wardeenburg Ecology - The Netherlands. This activity was carried out for 2 days, where the seeds and propagules used came from the nursery center in Passo Negeri, the BESE-Element used was a product brought from the Netherlands, the planting was carried out by groups of students, lecturers, and the Wardeenburg team, which consisted of the preparation stage BESE-Element, making layouts for planting points, planting seeds and propagules, and installing protective nets. The result of the activity is that mangrove ecosystem restoration is carried out in semi-enclosed areas using 10 BESE-Element. Each BESE-Element was planted with 10 mangrove seedlings consisting of 5 seedlings and 5 propagules with an average height of 30-40 cm, the spacing between BESE-Element was 60 cm. The types of mangrove species planted were Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Rhizophora apicutala, and Rhizophora stylosa. Around BESE-Elements planted seedlings and mangrove propagules as a control for mangroves in BESE-Elements. The results of this activity are expected to be able to overcome the degradation of the mangrove ecosystem that has occurred in the coastal area of Poka Village and have good implications for improving the condition of the mangrove ecosystem both physically, ecologically, and economically.
