Abstract

Desa Pemata Johar is one of the destination villages for thematic KKN activities. This village has become a destination because the Pematang Johar village government is very concentrated on developing the potential of the village, one of the potentials of the Pematang Johar village that needs to be developed is the use of empty land belonging to residents in the framework of producing food in the form of vegetables. Purpose of activity: The purpose of this activity is to optimize abandoned narrow land as a location for food production in the form of vegetables. In this activity, the community was introduced to planting methods that do not require large areas of land but produce maximum results and are easy to make. Activities are carried out using a Participatory Rural Appraisal approach, lecture methods, demonstration plots and mentoring. The results achieved in this verticulture making program were that previously there was a lot of used bottle waste lying around unused now it has become useful and also now the residents' yards have become more useful in order to add value to the beauty of the village and economic income. The results achieved are appropriate technology that utilizes vacant land and used waste as a medium for planting vegetables. Vegetables that are harvested can be sold by local residents or cooked for themselves. In addition, the harvest time for vegetable crops is shorter so that residents do not have to wait long for the results of the vertical planting carried out in Thematic KKN activities. Based on the activities that have been carried out, it can be concluded that PKK women and residents in the village of Pematang Johar are very enthusiastic and want to take advantage of the vacant land for vertical cultivation. Abstract

The village of Pucangro is already electrified by PLN, especially the residents' houses, most of which already have a power source. However, there are several points that require routine maintenance, such as village posts or posts. It is undeniable that the Basic Electricity Tariff (TDL) is quite a burden on the human economy. It can therefore be replaced with an emergency LED light bulb. While the placement of the lights is made by utilizing wood construction waste. Wood waste is processed into goods or furniture that have a sale value. Therefore, this community service activity is important to do because it provides knowledge that emergency LED lights can be used as a solution to save electricity, and wood waste from construction can be reprocessed into items or furniture that have a sale value.

Abstract

Vannamei shrimp production is a popular activity in the field of inland aquaculture. North Lombok Regency has a land area of 809.53 square kilometers, consisting of special areas (protected forests, wildlife areas, and others) covering 361.86 square kilometers (44.30%), while the remaining land is mainly used for agricultural purposes, covering an area of 447.67 square kilometers (55.30%). The water area of North Lombok is 594.71 square kilometers with a coastline length of 127 kilometers. Considering the vast land area, it is expected to contribute to the production of vannamei shrimp, which has so far relied solely on coastal cultivation. This community service aims to provide understanding and enhance the community's ability to manage vannamei shrimp cultivation, particularly in limited spaces far from the coastal areas, and optimize the existing freshwater sources. The method used in this community service is Focus Group Discussion (FGD), which involves providing information and insights to farmers regarding the development of low salinity shrimp cultivation technology in circular ponds using the biofloc method, accompanied by mentoring and practical application. The dissemination of information on the development of low salinity shrimp cultivation technology in circular ponds using the biofloc system has helped farmers in cultivating shrimp in low salinity water using modern technology, namely the biofloc system. This technology has improved and increased the quality and quantity of production in the cultivation partnership with Muda Mandiri in Tanjung Village, Tanjung Subdistrict, North Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. The dissemination of information on the development of low salinity shrimp cultivation technology in circular ponds using the biofloc system can also assist farmers in improving the quality of the products in the cultivation partnership with Muda Mandiri in Tanjung Village, Tanjung Subdistrict, North Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.

Abstract

Digital-based laboratory inventory management has begun to be implemented in various universities today. The Laboratory of Soil Science, University of Mataram needs to apply this method to improve the quality of practicum and research services. The borrowing and use of laboratory equipment by conventional methods make it difficult for laboratory staff to store and secure data properly. This community service aims to optimize the conventional method with a method based on the Quick Response Code (QR Code). The design of the QR Code was carried out online which was then attached to each tool and then tested and socialized to users. This program was carried out for 2 months from August to September 2022. The output of this service is the design of a simple QR Code-based information system that can simplify the process of borrowing tools and make them easier to use. The results of implementing the QR Code show that storing data is more well-organized and safe and also makes it easier for beginner users to use the laboratory equipment with the operational procedure and video tutorials provided.

Abstract

Maintaining personal and environmental health can be implemented through Clean and Healthy Behavior (PHBS). One form of application is washing hands with soap (CTPS). CTPS has proven to be effective in preventing disease transmission from one individual to another. CTPS practice is an absolute necessity, while the availability of CTPS facilities is still inadequate. This activity aims to increase the knowledge of elementary and junior high school students and teachers at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Ijtihad Al-Ma'arif NU Central Lombok about CTPS as a strategy to minimize the spread of disease (Covid-19) in the school environment. This activity is carried out in the form of socialization. CTPS Practice Education refers to the procedure for washing hands properly and correctly according to the World Health Organization (WHO). Participants were also introduced to the use of solid waste as an ideal CTPS facility and how to manage the remaining CTPS liquid waste. Pre-test and post-test were given to test the success of the activities carried out. This activity was attended by 75 participants consisting of students, teachers and regular recitation participants at the Nurul Ijtihad Al-Ma'arif NU Islamic Boarding School in Central Lombok. Participants were given education by 3 (three) experts regarding good and correct CTPS practices, the use of solid waste for making CTPS facilities, and the management of liquid waste left over from CTPS practices so as not to have a negative impact on the environment. This activity ran smoothly and proved successful in increasing participants' understanding as indicated by the pre-test and post-test scores which increased from 50.5% to 61.97%. The ideal CTPS practice needs to be constantly reminded in order to prevent disease transmission. Utilization and management of waste in the practice of CTPS is a strategy to prevent environmental pollution.
