Abstract

Indonesia’s creative industry, a key economic driver, faces challenges in marketing management competencies, impacting product innovation and consumer loyalty. This study explores how these competencies influence innovation and loyalty in subsectors like fashion, culinary, and handicrafts, with decentralization as a moderating factor. The objectives are to assess the effect of marketing management competencies on product innovation and consumer loyalty and to examine decentralization’s role in shaping business performance. A quantitative survey was conducted with 412 micro, small, and medium enterprises across 15 provinces, using Structural Equation Modeling for analysis. Findings show that marketing management competencies significantly enhance product innovation (β = 0.742, p < 0.001) and consumer loyalty (β = 0.658, p < 0.001), with product innovation mediating this relationship (indirect effect = 0.293, p < 0.01). Decentralization strengthens these effects in regions with robust local policies, with the Creative Marketing Competence Index revealing 67% higher innovation and 52% better retention for high-scoring enterprises. The study concludes that strengthening marketing competencies and leveraging decentralized policies are crucial for enhancing competitiveness in Indonesia’s creative industry, offering practical insights for enterprises and policymakers.

Abstract

This study analyzes the accountability of village fund management and its relevance to the achievement of the sustainable development goals. The village fund, mandated by Law Number 6 of 2014, has become a key instrument for supporting rural development, yet accountability issues related to planning, implementation, and reporting remain common. The study aims to assess how accountability mechanisms function at the village level and how they contribute to sustainable development outcomes. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design, data were collected through interviews with village officials, the village consultative body, and community members, as well as through analysis of the village budget and fund realization reports. The results show that the village demonstrates relatively good accountability, evidenced by transparent village meetings, public access to financial information, and the use of digital applications for fund management. However, limitations persist, including low digital literacy, limited community oversight, and potential overlap with regional programs. The study suggests strengthening institutional capacity, optimizing digital tools, and increasing community involvement to support more accountable and sustainable village governance.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative innovation in radiology, offering faster and more accurate diagnostic capabilities. However, patient acceptance and trust remain critical challenges that influence its successful implementation. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing patients’ perceptions and trust in the use of AI in radiology services at Indriati Hospital Solo Baru. This study uses a quantitative survey design with a cross-sectional approach and involves 153 respondents who underwent AI-based MRI examinations. Data was collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire with purposive sampling and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) method. The analysis results show that trust, efficiency, and being informed have a positive influence on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Additionally, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use increase the intention to use AI in radiology. The variables of transparency, data security, and privacy were also proven to strengthen the influence of trust on the intention to use AI in radiology. This finding confirms that benefits, convenience, trust, and assurances of transparency and data security significantly influence patient acceptance of AI.

Abstract

Micro, small, and medium enterprises in Medan City face challenges in adopting digital technologies due to limited digital literacy and infrastructure, yet entrepreneurial leadership offers a pathway to overcome these barriers. This study aims to examine the characteristics, challenges, and strategies faced by MSMEs, as well as to analyze the impact of entrepreneurial leadership on digital business development in the digital economy era. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research involves in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation with 10 enterprise owners in Medan who have adopted digital tools for at least three years. The findings reveal that proactive, innovative, and adaptive leadership enables these enterprises to use platforms like social media and e-commerce, enhancing market reach and transaction efficiency. However, inconsistent revenue growth highlights the need for sustained content strategies and advanced training, with only half of the enterprises reporting steady turnover increases. Challenges include low digital literacy, unstable internet, and limited human resources. Government and community support, through training and digital networks, strengthens these efforts. The study concludes that entrepreneurial leadership is vital for digital transformation, but success requires ongoing training and collaboration with stakeholders to build a robust digital ecosystem for enterprises in Medan.

Abstract

Rapid technological disruption and increasing uncertainty in the higher education landscape demand that institutions strengthen their organizational resilience through effective leadership, knowledge management, adaptive culture, and empowerment. This study aims to formulate strategies to enhance organizational resilience by examining the direct and indirect effects of visionary leadership as an independent variable and knowledge management, organizational culture, and empowerment as mediating variables. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 191 respondents across ten private universities in East Jakarta through multistage random sampling. The study employed survey methods, path analysis, and SITOREM analysis to identify key determinants of resilience. The findings reveal that visionary leadership, knowledge management, organizational culture, and empowerment each have a significant positive influence on organizational resilience. Furthermore, visionary leadership significantly affects knowledge management, organizational culture, and empowerment, which in turn mediate its impact on resilience. These results underscore the importance of integrated leadership practices and adaptive organizational systems in fostering institutional strength amid disruption. The implications of this study highlight the need for policymakers, particularly the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology and LLDIKTI Region 3, to support resilience-oriented leadership development and institutional strategies to enhance the quality and sustainability of higher education in Indonesia.

Abstract

The increasing enthusiasm of Indonesian Muslims to perform umrah has intensified competition among travel agencies, creating a growing need to understand the factors that shape customer loyalty in this service-based industry. Although prior studies have examined determinants of loyalty, limited research integrates brand personality and brand trust specifically within repeated umrah travel experiences, indicating a clear research gap. This study aims to develop hypotheses regarding the factors influencing brand loyalty, with a particular focus on the effect of brand personality mediated by brand trust. This study also addresses how perceptions of competence, sincerity, and enthusiasm as dimensions of brand personality contribute to customer loyalty. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 127 umrah pilgrims who had used the same travel agency more than once during the 2022–2024 period, selected through saturated sampling and analyzed using PLS-SEM. The findings reveal that brand personality significantly enhances brand loyalty, while brand trust acts as a mediating mechanism that strengthens this relationship. Trust functions as a psychological bridge that connects perceived brand characteristics with the decision to remain loyal. The study highlights the importance for Umrah travel providers to cultivate trustworthy and compelling brand identities to maintain customer confidence and long-term loyalty. Keywords: brand personality, brand trust, brand loyalty
