Abstract

Compulsory land acquisition for public infrastructure frequently generates social conflict and weakens institutional legitimacy. Despite the importance of communication in managing multi-stakeholder relationships, no empirically validated, priority-weighted communication model exists for land acquisition governance. This study develops and validates a stakeholder-centered communication model using the analytic hierarchy process within a mixed-methods approach combining analytic hierarchy process, focus group discussions, and expert interviews. Data were collected from 164 multi-stakeholder respondents across five Indonesian provinces to identify communication priorities for effective land acquisition governance. The results were further validated through focus group discussions and expert consultations. The AHP analysis demonstrated a high level of consistency (CR = 0.000862) and identified Stakeholder Engagement as the most critical communication factor (weight = 0.527), indicating that communication failures stem primarily from relational rather than informational deficiencies. Local government emerged as the most influential communication actor (0.265), surpassing national regulatory authorities (0.103). Open and inclusive interaction was identified as the principal communication objective (0.317), while the communication bridge strategy emphasizing two-way dialogue, aspiration integration, and information quality control ranked as the highest-priority intervention (0.326). The proposed SCC Model offers an evidence-based and replicable framework for strengthening communication, stakeholder coordination, and governance effectiveness in land acquisition programs.

Abstract

Economic globalization and tax avoidance practices through Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) have driven the OECD/G20 initiative to implement a 15% Global Minimum Tax (GMT) under Pillar Two. This study aims to analyze tax accounting challenges in the implementation of GMT among multinational enterprises in Indonesia and its implications for fiscal policy and tax compliance. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach based on a literature review method, analyzing regulatory documents, academic literature, and official reports. The findings indicate that GMT implementation generates challenges in four main areas: reconciliation between financial and tax reporting systems, harmonization of domestic regulations with international standards, reduced effectiveness of fiscal incentives in attracting investment, and increased demands for digital-based tax administration and compliance. The study concludes that GMT has a dual impact, enhancing global tax fairness and potential state revenue while simultaneously increasing compliance complexity and reducing fiscal competitiveness. This study implies that Indonesia needs to strengthen regulatory capacity, accelerate tax digitalization, and develop performance-based incentive schemes to maintain investment attractiveness while ensuring compliance with global tax standards.

Abstract

Growing concerns about environmental sustainability in tourism destinations have highlighted the need to understand factors that encourage tourists to engage in environmentally responsible behavior. The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of participatory digital green marketing on tourists’ pro-environmental behavior in the context of sustainable tourism, as well as to investigate the mediating roles of environmental knowledge, environmental awareness, and place identity in explaining the psychological mechanisms that drive sustainable behavior. Using a quantitative explanatory survey and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis, the article discusses the integration of green marketing with community-based tourism narratives. Data results reveal that participatory digital green marketing has a positive impact on all studied variables. However, the main findings indicate that only environmental awareness significantly mediates the relationship between participatory digital green marketing and tourists’ pro-environmental behavior, whereas environmental knowledge and place identity do not. These results suggest that enhancing tourists’ environmental awareness through participatory digital engagement is the most effective mechanism for promoting environmentally responsible behavior in traditional tourist destinations. This study contributes a new model for sustainability-oriented marketing rooted in local culture.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Central Java continue to face challenges in managing digital marketing, particularly in terms of technological capability, access to funding, and market competitiveness. Although digital platforms provide broader market opportunities, many MSMEs still struggle to implement digital marketing strategically and sustainably. This study aims to identify the key drivers of digital marketing management among MSMEs and examine the structural relationships among these drivers within a systemic framework. The study employed a qualitative approach using Soft Systems Methodology (SSM) with CATWOE analysis and prospective analysis through the MULTIPOL method. Data were collected through focus group discussions involving stakeholders from the MSME digital marketing ecosystem in Central Java. The findings reveal that national and municipal regulations, funding support, technical IT support, product quality, and product diversification are the main factors influencing digital marketing performance. In addition, education-based strategies, digital marketing training, and product development were identified as the most influential strategic actions in strengthening MSME competitiveness. The study concludes that effective digital marketing management requires integrating institutional support, digital capability development, and market-oriented product strategies. These findings provide practical insights for policymakers and MSME actors in designing more adaptive and sustainable digital marketing strategies.

Abstract

Music festivals have become increasingly important in experience-based tourism activities. This study examines the influence of existential authenticity and experience quality on visitor loyalty in Indonesian music festivals, with experience quality serving as a mediating variable and trust acting as a moderating variable. Data from 282 respondents who have attended Indonesian music festivals were analyzed quantitatively using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results show that both experience quality and loyalty are positively and significantly impacted by existential authenticity. Furthermore, the association between existential authenticity and loyalty is partially mediated by experience quality, which also has a major impact on loyalty. The findings also show that the relationship between experience quality and loyalty is considerably strengthened by trust. These findings indicate that emotionally authentic experiences, immersive festival environments, and trustworthy event management play important roles in encouraging revisit intention and positive word-of-mouth behavior among festival visitors. This study extends the application of the Stimulus–Organism–Response (S-O-R) framework within the context of music festivals and provides practical implications for festival organizers in developing emotionally engaging and sustainable festival experiences that strengthen long-term visitor loyalty.

Abstract

The increasing participation of Generation Z in the workforce has created new challenges for organizations, particularly due to their tendency to experience role conflict arising from the need to balance work and academic responsibilities. This study aims to examine the direct, mediating, and moderating relationships among role conflict, burnout, psychological resilience, and turnover intention among Generation Z employees who work while attending college. A quantitative approach was employed, involving 435 Generation Z respondents in West Kalimantan who were simultaneously working and pursuing higher education. Data were collected via five-point Likert scale questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with WarpPLS. The results indicate that role conflict has a positive and significant effect on burnout, while burnout has a positive and significant effect on turnover intention. Role conflict does not have a direct effect on turnover intention. Rather, burnout fully mediates this relationship. Psychological resilience positively influences turnover intention and mitigates the effects of role conflict on burnout and burnout on turnover intention; however, it does not moderate the relationship between role conflict and turnover intention.

Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce in Indonesia has significantly transformed consumer behavior in digital purchasing activities. In the increasingly competitive digital business environment, companies are required to understand the factors influencing customer satisfaction and purchase decisions. This study aims to analyze the effects of digital trust, customer experience, and E-WOM on customer satisfaction and purchase decisions, as well as to examine the mediating role of customer satisfaction. The research employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. Data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed to 250 active e-commerce users in Indonesia who had completed at least two transactions within the last six months. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4.1.1.8 software. The findings reveal that digital trust, customer experience, and E-WOM have positive and significant effects on both customer satisfaction and purchase decisions. Customer experience emerged as the most dominant factor influencing satisfaction and purchasing behavior. Furthermore, customer satisfaction was found to mediate the effects of digital trust, customer experience, and E-WOM on purchase decisions. These findings imply the importance of enhancing platform security, improving customer experience quality, and effectively managing digital reviews to strengthen consumer purchase decisions.

Abstract

The problem addressed concerns the limited integration of human and organizational factors in supporting digital transformation, which may affect employee engagement in technology-intensive environments. This study examines the influence of human capital management and organizational culture on employee engagement, with technology acceptance serving as a mediating variable in the logistics industry. This study employed a quantitative research design. Data were collected through a survey of 265 employees at an Indonesian logistics company, and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to analyze the direct and indirect relationships among the variables. Results indicate that human capital management and organizational culture each exert a positive and significant effect on employee engagement. Moreover, technology acceptance significantly mediates these relationships and emerges as the most influential determinant of employee engagement. The findings highlight that employees’ perceptions of usefulness and ease of use of digital systems play a critical role in enhancing engagement. Organizations in the logistics sector are therefore advised to integrate human capital development, adaptive organizational culture, and user-oriented digital systems in order to sustain employee engagement throughout the digital transformation process.

Abstract

The halal skincare industry in Indonesia has experienced significant growth along with increasing consumer awareness of product safety, quality, and religious values. However, the highly dynamic market environment requires firms to develop strong adaptive capabilities to remain competitive. This study aims to analyze the implementation of dynamic capabilities, consisting of sensing, seizing, and reconfiguring, in the development of halal skincare products at JGlow as a local startup. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings reveal that JGlow effectively identifies market opportunities through emerging halal and clean beauty trends, integrates key resources such as halal and BPOM certification, medical professionals, and formulation technology during the seizing stage, and continuously renews its human resources, production systems, and product innovation in the reconfiguring stage. These results indicate that JGlow’s competitive advantage is not solely derived from halal compliance but also from its ability to systematically manage and adapt to environmental changes. The study concludes that dynamic capabilities play a crucial role in enhancing innovation and ensuring the sustainability of halal skincare businesses. The implication suggests that local cosmetic firms should strengthen adaptive capabilities to improve competitiveness in an increasingly competitive market.
