Abstract

The escalating geopolitical tensions resulting from the Iran–Israel conflict have impacted the stability of global financial markets, including the movement of the Jakarta IDX Composite in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the influence of world gold prices, exchange rates, world oil prices, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) on the IDX Composite before, during, and after the Iran–Israel conflict. The study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with secondary data in the form of daily IDX Composite data and macroeconomic variables from February to July 2025. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression with the help of EViews software and supported by classical assumption tests. The results show that world gold prices have a significant negative effect on the IDX Composite only during the conflict period, while the exchange rate has a significant negative effect before and after the conflict. World oil prices have a significant positive effect before and after the conflict, while the DJIA index has no significant effect throughout the entire study period. Simultaneously, all independent variables have a significant effect on the IDX Composite. These findings indicate that global factors and geopolitical risks play an important role in shaping the dynamics of the Indonesian capital market and are important considerations for investors and policymakers in facing global economic uncertainty.

Abstract

Increasing market complexity requires stronger coordination across agricultural value chain activities. This study examined the integrated rice value chain developed through farmer cooperatives. The research focused on how production, processing, and marketing activities were coordinated within a cooperative-based rice agribusiness system. A qualitative case study approach was employed at Cooperative Produsen Citra Kinaraya and its farmer-owned enterprise, PT Tasbiha Mulia Tani (PT TMT). Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving cooperative managers, PT TMT management, and farmer members. The study applied the value chain mapping approach developed by ACIAR to analyze actors, product flows, information exchange, supporting services, and coordination mechanisms within the value chain. The findings revealed that the rice value chain was organized into three integrated stages: cultivation, processing, and marketing. PT TMT played a central coordinating role by linking farmers with market demand through production planning, processing management, and distribution networks. The study also identified several challenges, including unstable raw material supply, limited expansion of farmer partnerships, and declining partnership attractiveness following government grain pricing policies. Strengthening partnership arrangements and developing risk-sharing mechanisms were identified as important strategies to improve the sustainability of cooperative-based rice value chains.

Abstract

The Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry faces increasing pressure to improve operational efficiency due to rising energy costs, intense market competition, and growing sustainability requirements. This study aims to develop and implement a decision support-based energy benchmarking framework to evaluate energy performance, identify efficiency gaps, and support operational improvement initiatives in an FMCG manufacturing facility. A quantitative case study approach was employed using 24 months of operational and energy consumption data collected between January 2023 and December 2024. The analysis utilized normalized energy intensity indicators, comparative performance evaluation, and descriptive statistical benchmarking techniques to assess production output, energy consumption, and energy costs. The results indicate that while production output increased by 30.61%, total energy costs rose disproportionately by 70.66%, revealing significant energy efficiency gaps. Diesel consumption exhibited greater variability than natural gas, contributing substantially to cost fluctuations and highlighting opportunities for operational optimization. The benchmarking results further identified waste heat recovery and energy source optimization as priority improvement strategies. The study concludes that integrating energy benchmarking with decision support principles provides a practical and data-driven framework for enhancing operational efficiency and supporting sustainable energy management in FMCG manufacturing environments.

Abstract

The increasing pressure on industrial companies to implement sustainable business practices has strengthened the strategic role of green Human Resource Management (HRM) in promoting environmentally responsible employee behavior and sustainability-oriented workplace innovation. However, empirical studies examining the sequential mechanisms linking green HRM, environmental awareness, green innovative work behavior, and employee green behavior within Indonesia’s manufacturing sector remain limited. This study aims to analyze the effect of green HRM on employee green behavior through environmental awareness and green innovative work behavior as serial mediating variables among automotive manufacturing employees in Karawang. The research employed a quantitative explanatory approach using survey-based data collected from 100 employees selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that green HRM significantly influences environmental awareness and green innovative work behavior. Environmental awareness also significantly affects green innovative work behavior and employee green behavior, while green innovative work behavior significantly influences employee green behavior. Furthermore, environmental awareness and green innovative work behavior sequentially mediate the relationship between green HRM and employee green behavior. These findings contribute to sustainable human resource management literature by integrating sustainability-oriented innovation behavior into the Green HRM framework.

Abstract

Increasing business competition demands innovation and high-quality human resource development. This study examines the effect of training, skills, competence, and technology on superior human resource development through product innovation management in food Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Labuhanbatu Regency. This study used a quantitative survey approach involving 127 food SMEs in Labuhanbatu Regency selected through saturated sampling. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed with SEM-PLS using SmartPLS. The results show that training, skills, competence, and technology have positive and significant effects on product innovation management. In addition, these four variables also have positive and significant effects on superior human resource development. Product innovation management has been shown to have a positive and significant effect on superior human resource development and to mediate the effects of training, skills, competence, and technology on it. The R-square value indicates that training, skills, competence, and technology explain 67.8% of the variance in product innovation management, while superior human resource development explains 72.4% of the variance in the model. These findings confirm that superior human resource development in food SMEs should be supported by relevant training, skill improvement, competence strengthening, technology utilization, and sustainable product innovation management.

Abstract

Rural youth increasingly distance themselves from local resource-based enterprises, even where valuable food commodities and development programs exist. Local food resources offer entrepreneurial potential that does not automatically translate into youth participation. This study examines how local food resources are configured into youth-centered entrepreneurship through business model configurations rather than treated as commodities for direct commercialization. Using a qualitative comparative case study of hanjeli-based initiatives in Waluran, Sukajadi, and Bedono, the study analyzes interviews, Business Model Canvas documentation, and field materials through BMC-based coding, within-case analysis, cross-case comparison, and abductive synthesis. Three configurations emerge. Waluran develops an experience-based pathway through educational tourism, ecological learning, and market-facing products. Sukajadi forms a community food pathway through collective processing, farmer linkage, and consumer education. Bedono advances a norm-based pathway through seed recovery, food heritage, and consumption routines. The findings show that rural markets are socially formed through experience, education, trust, and norms, while youth-regeneration value appears uneven across configurations. Sustainability depends on vulnerability management, organizational capacity, and community legitimacy. The study contributes to the rural entrepreneurship literature by reframing local food resources as business model configurations that create economic, social, ecological, and regenerative value for rural youth.

Abstract

Papua Province is home to one of the largest mining operations in the world, yet the indigenous Kamoro and Amugme peoples of Mimika Regency remain trapped in persistent poverty and limited access to education and healthcare. This paradox reflects a broader resource curse dynamic in which abundant natural resources fail to translate into meaningful welfare improvements for local communities. This study aims to analyze the long-term effects of mining dependency, education, and social capital on the welfare of indigenous peoples in Mimika Regency, and to propose a sustainable communal economic model grounded in local wisdom as an alternative development pathway. Secondary panel data covering the period from 2000 to 2025 were analyzed using the System Generalized Method of Moments to address endogeneity and dynamic panel data issues. The results show that mining dependency significantly reduces indigenous welfare, while education and social capital both contribute positively and significantly to welfare improvement. Prior welfare conditions also positively influence current welfare, confirming path dependency in development outcomes. These findings suggest that sustainable welfare improvement in Papua requires a deliberate shift away from extractive dependency toward community-centered policies that strengthen customary institutions, expand educational access, and integrate indigenous local wisdom into regional development planning.

Abstract

Digital transformation has significantly reshaped public sector operations, requiring civil servants to continuously adapt to technological change while maintaining service effectiveness and innovation. This study aims to examine the effects of job demands and job resources on innovative work behavior through the mediating roles of work engagement and coping strategies among civil servants at the Directorate General of Digital Infrastructure (DJID), Ministry of Communication and Digital, Indonesia. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed using survey data collected from 621 employees. Data were analyzed using covariance-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with LISREL. The findings reveal that job demands negatively affect work engagement but positively influence innovative work behavior, indicating that employees tend to perceive digital work pressures as challenge demands. Job resources positively affect both work engagement and innovative work behavior, while work engagement positively influences innovative work behavior but negatively affects coping strategies. Coping strategies positively contribute to innovative work behavior. Furthermore, work engagement partially mediates the relationships between job demands, job resources, and innovative work behavior, while coping strategies partially mediate the relationship between work engagement and innovative work behavior. These findings highlight the importance of psychological mechanisms in sustaining innovation within digitally transforming public sector organizations.

Abstract

The increasing participation of Generation Z in the workforce has raised concerns regarding the influence of workplace well-being and mental health on employee performance in modern organizations. This study analyzed the relationship between workplace well-being, mental health, and the performance of Generation Z employees through a systematic review of the academic literature for the period 2019–2026. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, this study examined and synthesized relevant scholarly publications to identify key patterns, relationships, and research gaps. The results showed that mental health has a significant positive impact on performance, which is mediated by factors of work-life balance, employee attachment, and psychological security under organizational support. Despite this, a paradoxical phenomenon was discovered in which happiness is not always directly proportional to productivity. Current research gaps indicate the need for further deepening of technology and the integration of these three main variables into a Special Research model for Generation Z. As a practical implication, organizations must adopt flexible Human Resource strategies and inclusive leadership to create a work ecosystem that supports mental health while optimizing employee performance sustainably and comprehensively in the future.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of Ecological Human Resources (EHR) on pro-environmental work climate and tests the moderating roles of management commitment and employee awareness. The study used a quantitative cross-sectional survey of 60 employees from private companies in Bali that had environmental programs or sustainability-related policies. Data were collected using a five-point Likert questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling. The measurement model met the criteria for convergent validity, discriminant validity, and internal consistency. The structural model showed that EHR had a positive and significant effect on pro-environmental work climate. Management commitment did not significantly moderate the relationship. Employee awareness significantly strengthened the relationship. The model explained 81.1% of the variance in pro-environmental work climate. The findings show that ecological HR practices can shape a greener workplace climate when employees understand environmental issues and translate policy into daily work behavior.
