Abstract

This study aimed to examine the ability of English learners at a business school in West Java and whether there were differences in perceptions among stakeholders regarding the ability of learners. This research was part of the English curriculum design project at the institution. This research used mixed methods. The sampling was carried out in a non-random stratified manner. Subsequently, the questionnaires were distributed to various stakeholders. We managed to capture 90 students’ questionnaires, 8 questionnaires for senior lecturers in expertise courses, 5 questionnaires for English teachers, 4 questionnaires from the Institution, and 5 questionnaires from the industry or graduate users. The interviews were conducted with the Institution. Using the nonparametric chi-square test (two-way chi-square test), the observation value was 28.1937, while the expected value was 13.2767, which means Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. In other words, students' perceptions of their English language skills were in contrast to those of other stakeholders (English teachers, the lecturers, the institution, and the industry). The perceptions of other stakeholders were supported by the results of the TOEFL test which showed the low ability of students. These students' perceptions affected their motivation in learning English because they were satisfied. It is recommended that teachers and institutions straighten the perceptions of these students without being a demotivating factor in learning English at STIE. It would be even better, if teachers and institutions could motivate students so as to eliminate the cognitive dissonance. Abstract

This study supports Asta Cita’s Sixth Mission to strengthen Indonesia’s village and regional economies by examining the role of Rural Banks (BPRs) as drivers of rural financial inclusion and MSMEs development. Despite their strategic position, BPRs face increasing challenges, including rising non-performing loans, declining credit officer performance, and weakening organizational culture. This research investigates how perceived organizational support and the Javanese relational value diuwongke (treating others with dignity and humanity) influence organizational commitment and credit officers’ performance. A sequential explanatory mixed-methods approach was employed, integrating survey data from 145 credit officers across 11 BPRs in Region III Cirebon, analyzed using SEM-PLS, with in-depth interviews to contextualize the findings. The results show that both perceived organizational support and diuwongke significantly enhance commitment and performance, with organizational commitment mediating these relationships. The structural model explains approximately 44% of the variance in performance, indicating moderate explanatory power. Qualitative evidence further illustrates that support and cultural humanization foster psychological safety, loyalty, and affective engagement. The study highlights the need for empathetic and culturally grounded human resources practices to reinforce BPR resilience and sustain their developmental role in rural economies.

Abstract

This study aims to reconstruct the concept of employee loyalty in remote work settings by examining the dynamics of silent resignation, where employees withdraw emotional and psychological engagement without formally resigning. A phenomenological qualitative study was conducted through semi-structured interviews with 25 remote employees and HR practitioners in Indonesia, analyzed using open, axial, and selective coding to explore emerging dimensions of employee loyalty in a post-pandemic digital work context. The findings reveal a shift in the meaning of loyalty from contractual to relational, characterized by dimensions such as organizational trust, work flexibility, meaningful work, and the alignment between personal and organizational values. Traditional control-based HR management strategies are increasingly ineffective and must be replaced with approaches centered on trust, transparency, and autonomy. The study concludes that employee loyalty in the remote work era can no longer be assessed using conventional indicators such as tenure or structural compliance; instead, it is shaped by interpersonal relationship quality, digital work experiences, and the intrinsic value provided by the organization. This research contributes to expanding the conceptual understanding of employee loyalty in digitally decentralized organizations and provides a foundation for developing more adaptive HRM strategies for employee engagement and retention in the post-normal era.

Abstract

Accelerating digital transformation among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is crucial for enhancing competitiveness and resilience in Indonesia’s rapidly growing digital economy. This study investigates how internet learning and digital capacity building influence MSMEs’ digital readiness, with internet motivation positioned as the key mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), data were collected from MSMEs. The findings show that internet learning and digital capacity development significantly improve MSME digital readiness and internet motivation, with internet motivation emerging as the most dominant predictor. Internet motivation also plays an important mediating role in strengthening the relationship between internet learning, digital capacity development, and MSME digital readiness. These results underscore the importance of integrating structural capacity, behavioral engagement, and psychological readiness to foster meaningful digital adoption among MSMEs. This study advances the Technology Acceptance Model by combining antecedents related to motivation and capability, offering theoretical and practical insights for policymakers, digital literacy trainers, and community-based development programs.

Abstract

Tourism villages have increasingly become a strategic approach to promoting inclusive economic growth, cultural preservation, and sustainable development, with Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) serving as key actors in strengthening local economies. However, studies examining MSMEs in tourism villages within the context of sustainable tourism and community empowerment remain fragmented, and a comprehensive bibliometric mapping of this field is still lacking. This study aims to map and analyze publication trends, thematic structures, and emerging research themes on MSMEs in tourism villages within the context of sustainable tourism and community empowerment using a bibliometric approach. Employing a descriptive quantitative design with a bibliometric approach, this study analyzed 233 journal articles published between 2013 and 2023, retrieved from the Dimensions database and selected SINTA-accredited journals. Data were examined using VOSviewer through co-occurrence, overlay, and density visualizations to identify research trends and thematic evolution. The findings reveal increasing scholarly attention to the topic, particularly in the post-pandemic period, with dominant themes encompassing community empowerment, business model innovation, digital transformation, and capacity building. The study concludes that the literature has increasingly shifted toward themes of community empowerment, digital transformation, business model innovation, and multi-stakeholder collaboration, indicating the growing importance of sustainability-oriented approaches in MSME development within tourism villages.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital financial services and the increasing popularity of buy now, pay later platforms have transformed consumer payment behavior, particularly among younger generations who are highly engaged with digital technology, This study examined the determinants of intention to use Shopee PayLater among female Generation Z university students in Surabaya by integrating financial knowledge and subjective norm within the Theory of Planned Behavior, with perceived trust as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative explanatory approach, data were collected through an online questionnaire from 150 respondents and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Data were collected in 2025. The results revealed that financial knowledge did not have a direct effect on intention to use but significantly influenced perceived trust. Subjective norm showed a strong and significant direct effect on intention to use, while perceived trust significantly mediated the relationship between financial knowledge and intention to use. These findings highlight the dominant role of social influence and trust in shaping paylater adoption and imply that enhancing transparency and trust-building strategies is more critical than financial literacy alone for encouraging responsible use among Generation Z consumers.

Abstract

Salt production in Madura is carried out using both traditional and modern methods involving geomembrane technology. These differences significantly affect production costs and farmers’ income. Therefore, this research aims to more clearly and in greater detail identify differences in the cost structure, income, quantity, and quality of salt produced by traditional and modern production methods. This study employed a qualitative descriptive method, and the respondents were salt farmers from these areas. The sampling technique used was snowball sampling. The collected data were processed using simple calculations and then analyzed to obtain the research findings and conclusions. The findings show that most salt farmers in Sampang, Pamekasan, and Bangkalan use modern production methods based on geomembrane technology, while a small number still rely on traditional methods. Modern methods are more effective, producing higher yields and better salt quality with a greater chance of meeting K1 standards. Although modern production requires higher costs, it generates greater profits compared to traditional methods. The results suggest that wider adoption of modern geomembrane-based production methods can improve efficiency, salt quality, and farmers’ incomes.

Abstract

The fast-fashion industry continues to grow rapidly amid increasing market competition. Although market expansion continues, companies often face challenges in maintaining long-term brand loyalty amid the abundance of brand alternatives. This study aims to examine how brand experience affects brand loyalty, with perceived quality and brand trust as mediating variables. This quantitative study collected data through surveys of 200 UNIQLO customers in the Special Region of Yogyakarta and analyzed the data using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS 24. The research results indicate that brand experience has a significant direct impact on brand loyalty. This study reinforces the understanding that loyalty is not only shaped directly by physical and emotional experiences but is also significantly mediated by perceptions of product quality (partial mediation). However, a unique finding was that brand trust cannot act as a mediator in this relationship in the Special Region of Yogyakarta market. This finding provides insights for fast-fashion retailers on designing marketing strategies that focus on enhancing in-store experiences and product quality consistency as key to creating sustainable brand loyalty amidst intense market competition.

Abstract

Increasing environmental pressures and sustainability demands have compelled organizations to adopt green management practices as a strategic response to global business challenges. This study explores the role of green transformational leadership in promoting green management to face global business challenges, and examines its influence on Green Human Resource Management (GHRM), sustainability innovation, and environmental performance. Using a qualitative case study design in five Indonesian multinational companies, data were collected from 22 participants (president directors, human resource directors, sustainability managers, line managers), two FGDs, and documentation. The Gioia methodology with a thematic approach was used for analysis. Findings show that green transformational leadership catalyzes green transformation through green vision, intellectual stimulation, pro-environmental modeling, and individual attention. GHRM practices (recruitment, training, performance, compensation, green participation) translate leadership vision into employee behavior. Sustainability innovation mediates the relationship between GHRM and environmental performance. Top management commitment and organizational social capital strengthen green practices as contingency factors. This study develops an integrated green transformational leadership model with a dual-pathway mechanism. It guides corporate leaders in articulating a green vision and human resource managers in designing integrated GHRM systems. Policy-wise, it recommends strengthening GHRM regulations and incentives for green companies.
